This movie was, without a doubt, the best movie i have ever seen. Of course, it wasn't as good as the book, but it did not disappoint me one bit! This movie is so amazing, it can't be described with words. The had the perfect amount of love scenes, just enough to make you dizzy. The acting was fantastic. I can't wait until the 2nd and 3rd movie come out! I will definitely be looking out for the dates!
ps, I did scream, gasp, and shriek whenever Edward or Jacob came on screen, but maybe that's just the, Crazy Teenage Girl That Is Overly Obsessed With Twilight, that came out in me.

It was a difficult task to pool a 500 page book with such die hard fans into a 2 hour movie. I think they pulled it off. The book will always be better than the movie, but it changed my opinion on who they chose for the cast, who I now think were great choices. I thought it was great. I'll be going to see it in theaters again!

I thought they did a wonderful job. Things left out weren't important. The chemistry between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart is amazing. I am so excited to see the sequels!!

I saw the movie prior to reading the book and enjoyed it greatly. I was a little lost at the first, but quickly understood what was going on throughout the movie. I now look forward to reading the series to see what could not be added into the movie.

Over all the moviie did the book justice. The actors portrayed their characters to a T. Somethings may have been overlooked and if added would have made the movie more enjoyable for the die-hard series fans (like myself). I enjoyed the movie immensely. I took a friend who had never read the books to see the midnight release and she is now through the first three books. I plan to see this movie again and to buy it on BluRay the day it comes out. Edward can break my headboard, bite my pillows, and bruise my body anyday! XD If you haven't already gone out to see it GO. RIGHT NOW!!

Good movie, however, the book was better. Story of their relationship progresses faster than it does in the book. The dialogue does stay true to the book. Dissappointed by the diminished roles of Alice and Jasper.

You could tell this movie had young actors/actresses in it. And the plot was a little rushed. But Having read the book first understood why it felt rushed. They were trying to get most of the book into the movie. The parts that were different than the book were good subsitutes they did not take away from the book.

I don't read much and my Friends got me the books for my birthday and I READ them all in 8 days! The movie was done I think as well as possible in translation from book to screen. Reading Bellas point of view and the partially written book from Edwards point of view made the movie really good for me. I think they did a great job on casting. Bella and Alice were exactly as I pictured and Edward turned out great. Their chemistry on film is wonderfulI and that's so important. I think Bellas father in the movie was perfect. I can't wait for a sequel. I went to see this 3 times in 3 days! Dont' tell my husband!

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was just as awesome as the book. For those who have not read the books or do not like to read, these novels will change your mind. I have never read a book or watched a movie where I have fallen in love with a character. It is an experience everyone should try! I can't wait for the second movie to come out. Edward is AWESOME!

First time - total let down. Bad effects, bad acting - skipped 3/4 of the book. 2nd time - knowing that it wasn't going to meet my very high expectations; I could enjoy it just as a movie with a really good looking cast. If you havn't read the books - you're bound to really enjoy it!

The movie was alright, obviously no where near close to how good the books were and didn't meet my expectations. The one thing that really made it not so great though was Robert Pattinson's acting, it just wasn't anywhere near how I pictured Edward... definitely like Jacob more than him in the movies. If you haven't read the books then you'll probably think the movie's stupid so do yourself justice and read the books before you watch the movie.

I LOVED the books. The movie was actually pretty bad. The casting director should be fired. The only 2 cast members that came close to the books were Alice and Bella (maybe). Edward looks frail and awkward. Rosalie was not stunning at all. Edward also always looked as though he was going to start laughing during his lines. The story line was sooo rushed, and the important aspects of the story (i.e. Edward and Bella falling in love) were not emphasized at all. I took someone who hadn't read the book, and they actually loved it. Maybe this is a hit-or-miss type movie. I'm glad I read the books first and have my own mental images to go off of before tainting it with this movie. Wait for the DVD!

I loved the movie!! Although the movies are never as good as the books, this movie rocked!! I loved everything about it. I loved the books and was a little nervous that the movie wouldn't do the books justice but it was great! I fell in love with Edward all over again. Rob was a great pick for the part and did an excellent job in my opinion. I hope they make the rest of the books into movies!!!

This particular adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's novel "Twilight," is almost
like indulging in a sinful pleasure, which for any Twilight aficionado,
like myself was watching the characters come to life.
Some Twilight fans have expressed their displeasure with certain
casting choices, but all in all the acting suited the film. I look
forward to the next three installments! Hopefully all of the cast will
be reprising their roles.
Director Catherine Hardwicke, (also of Lords of Dogtown and Thirteen)
has breathed new life into these novels, and also modern cinema. Her
directing style can be described as maternal, like a really fun mom.
You can definitely tell that all the people involved in this film
really enjoyed it

The movie did stay pretty true to the book, and it was cool to see Bella and Edward on screen. My only wish would be that the director did a better job of capturing the connection between Edward and Bella. I know being limited to 2 hours made it tough, but I wish a few more scenes were devoted to the building chemistry. Of course, some would say they came to the story with the chemistry, that it can't be created. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the book, and it did stay pretty true to it. Can't wait for New Moon, the movie!!

I'll start by saying the movies are NEVER as good as the books- period. With that said this was a pretty good movie. There are very few movies I will pay the high cost of theatre tickets for to see on the big screen. So it's worth the ticket price. It could have been a lot better but I was not regretful for seeing it, and I'll see it probaby 2 more times before it comes on video.
I'm not sure why they hyped up the Director so much, she didn't do anything all that great. Twilight could've been phenomenal with a different director--maybe one who did LOTR or Harry Potter. There was just so much detail left out and scenes were out of sequence compared with the book, but of course that would've made a four hour movie to stick close to the book.
