I went to a midnight showing and I didn't have the highest expectations. I'm in love with the book series, and from the trailers I was guessing that the film version wouldn't impress me. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the whole movie. I went into it swearing that Robert Pattinson was the worst person to play Edward, but he really grew on me. There were a lot of differences between the book and film, and I think you should definitely read the book before seeing the movie, but I really loved it and want to go see it again!

I have never seen a better movie adapted from a book in my life. I am a mom of three, and just got turned on to this series this year (2008), by my 15 yr old daughter, who is completely obseesed with " Twilight ". I understood her obsession as soon as I was done with the first book. Then I learned of the movie, and bought tickets in advance. While we waited in line, excitement was almost too much to bare, and finally the movie began, and I don't remeber breathing after that. I emplore all out there, that if you want to see a really great movie, go see "Twilight", you'll be glad you did!!!

The movie was much better than any review made it out to be! They really captured the building romance, and that is what I wanted to see. I think all of the actors fit the parts perfectly, and the movie photos and posters do not do that characters justice at all. When I saw them on screen, they were perfect. I loved loved LOVED Twilight, and I can't wait fro the rest of the saga!!!

I loved the movie! It was very funny in the beginning. I thought the story went a little fast compared to the book and there were a couple of scenes I was hoping to see but didn't. It was still the best movie in the world!!!

I absolutely loved it, I was very impressed with all that they were able to do, some parts were of course rushed, but it is only 2 hours, so they did the best they could with the time they were given-way to go!! Go team Edward!!!

The movie was nothing that i thought it would be.I thought that the casting was perfect and that rob was a beautiful edward, but the direction and effects were disappointing.I know that it is impossible to fit everything into the movie but the entire film felt rushed. The scenes were choppy and the characters were not developed enough. If i didn't read the book there is a good chance I would be very confused with what was going on. Even though I had a few good laughs, it seemed like the movie was almost mocking the book. I kept waiting for it to get better..but it just didn't. For all the buzz the movie was getting it just didn't live up to the hype for me.

The Twilight book series was AMAZING. This film was a sad interpretation that really failed to capture any of the heart wrenching emotions found in the book. I only recommend you see this film if you have read the books, because otherwise you will not understand the (legitmate) hype around the Twilight series. You will think Edward is simply obsessive and creepy because there is no arc that leads to their un-ending love for each other.
While Bella and Edward look absolutely stunning next to one another, once they open their mouths to do some acting, the illusion is shot. As a huge Twilight fan, the film was more a comical depiction of the book, rather than a true filmic adaptation.

It was awesome! I haven't read the books but I want to now! Edward was uber hot. There were funny parts and adorable parts. Action was good. Wish they'd make out more, but when they did it was hot! A few cheesy lines, but it was a really good movie.

If you didn't read the books, spare yourself - you will not truly appreciate it. Go to the bookstore, purchase the novel, read it and then reward yourself with the movie. Otherwise, it won't make a lick of sense to you.

This Teenaged Angst-Fest won't be for everyone, but if a little High School drama with a vampiric twist sounds intriguing then Twilight probably won't disappoint. This might bore the boyfriends a bit, but the girls are bound to LOVE this.

This movie was awesome. It had all the important things that felt like "Twilight" and was true to the story the Twilight fans love. I will say however, that the movie went by much too fast. I felt like the movie needed to take a huge break in the middle and slow down a bit. It was good and I would recommend this movie to my friends who don't read the books.

Alot of movies have trouble going from book to screen..this one did an excellent job I thought...the screenwriter did a great job in incorporating all the "necessary" parts to make this a truly enjoyable movie for all ages. My almost adult daughter and I have read the books and loved them...now we can't wait for more films! And Yes!! I drive like a Cullen when I can!!

I felt the movie didn't follow the right order and it threw me off a little. I have to go and see it again for a true feeling bout the movie. It did seem a little choppy but they did cut the right parts.

I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was true to the book and the casting was great. So much of scenery was just as I had pictured it in my head. I thought they did a wonderful job of establishing the love story and laying the groundwork for the next movie. It was very sweet which is the same reason I love the book.

Without giving anything away, this movie is a definite must see. Rob Pattinson is definitely the only person who could have played Edward. The other cast members pulled off their parts & it made you feel like you were reading the book all over again. There are somethings could have been done differently to make the movie better but I still plan on seeing it again and again. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Went to the midnight premier last night. I loved it and I hated it. Well, not hate, but was disappointed at some parts. It did move very fast, and I honestly think they could have added an hour to the movie to better develop Edward and Bella's relationship and get more of the story in. I don't necessarily think you HAVE to read the book, but it definitely helps. Good movie, I will see it again I'm sure, and I can't WAIT till the next one comes out. I just found some clips on myspace so I'm all excited. Now if they could just find a way to tap into my brain to put what I was playing in my mind on the screen while I read the book, now we're talking a great movie...

The movie was great. The cinematography of the northern pacific was exceptionally beautiful and the story line stayed loyal to the book. There were a few things I would have liked to have seen differenty but you must go into the movie knowing that it is nearly impossible to include every single scene as one remembers from the book. It was a little fast paced but it was great to see the book on screen.
Watch it and if you haven't read the book....Read it!!!
and look out for a Stephenie Meyer cameo appearance!!!!

Okay....when I know it's okay to go to the restroom in the middle of a movie-it's BAD. NO WAY does this movie do the book justice !
Rough start: Edward is supposed to be suppressing his desire for Bella but looks like he wants to throw up instead. People are just cracking up. It wasn't meant to be funny! Laughter at inappropriate times is never a good sign in a movie and people laughed a lot.
The white vampire makeup looked stupid, like something kids do for Halloween. Bad dye jobs, bad acting = bad movie.
I have to give this movie a D...what a DISASTER.

I loved this movie and would recommend it to anyone! However, there are a lot of little things that you won't understand unless you read the books, so I advise you to read at least the first one beforehand. Edward, Alice, and Jasper were definitely my favorite; they did a wonderful job! The only thing I didn't like about it was that events seemed to move so fast from one to another, of course that's because they had to fit everything into 2 hours time. Other than that, I thought it was great!!!

Although it did not live up to my high standards of the book, this movie did do a rather nice job of giving all of the vital details that were needed. My biggest disappointment was Robert Pattison's portrayal of Edward. Edward is not 1) awkward, 2) constantly sucking on a lemon, or 3) jerky in both movement and voice. Rosalie was great, Bella was done really well, even the small time that Jacob was in the picture he was wonderful, but Edward was a disappointment. Out of 10 I would give it a 8.5, if only someone else had played Edward...

I do think that you need to read the book before you see the movie. But either way I thought it was really good! I loved it and fully understood everything and think that the movie followed the book almost perfectly. But I went with my mom who didn't read the books and she was more confused.

The Twilight Movie was super good. Since I read the book prior I did notice a few things that were different or scenes that moved to fast BUT I had a friend with me who had not read the books and she didn't know the difference and she LOVED it! So if you've read the books, know that it'll be a little different but, keep your mind open-I think of it like they are deleted scenes from the book :)

I was disappointed with the movie. I went in with high expectations because the book was incredible. I found myself laughing at parts that should have been really good. I thought the Bella character should have been someone different. Edward did alright, but he seemed strained and like he was trying hard to not have his natural accent. The movie was rushed and key parts from the book were left out. I do plan on seeing the movie again and this time I am going to go in with expectations of it not being like the book so much and see if I like it better.Don't get me wrong though, there were a couple of good parts. I did hear the movie had a low budget, so maybe the next movie will be better.

I personally thought the movie was not that good. It did not live up to my expectations. I started reading the series when they first came out and I thought the movie jumped from scene to scene to fast. It left out a lot of the important connects that makes you feel the love between Edward and Bella. I would see it again but i just thought it was going to be a lot better than what it was. Overall, i thought the movie was fantastic. The beginning went a little too fast for my taste, I definitely think they should have devoted more time to the development of Edward and Bella's realtionship. It got really really good towards the middle, so i forgave the beginning. The end was so awesome that i had to stifle my scream of excitement.
I think that people who haven't read the books probably will not like it, mostly because so much of the juicy stuff happens in Bella's thoughts, and the only way you'll be able to know what Bella and Edward are really thinking throughout the beginning of the movie is if you read the books.
