I basically loved this movie from beginning to end. It was so amazing, but if you havent read the book it might be difficult to understand and you might not like it as much. So read the book!!
You'll have so much more fun if you read the book first. This is the best movie i've seen so far.

This movie was amazing!!! so glad they didnt mess it up... but you should DEFINITELY read the book first... I brought a non twilight reader and while the rest of the theater was laughing he was confused... so READ THE BOOK... it won't kill you... kinda upset they left out one of my favorite scenes from the book... but it didnt ruin it... and they did kinda zoom through some stuff it could have been a lil longer but overall a MUST SEE!!! Team Switzerland right here!!! =)

I was so worried that it wouldn't meet my expectations, but it so did! It moved kind of fast, but it had too! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did great jobs!! I went to the midnight premiere and couldn't fall asleep after it even though i had to get up at 6! My only advice would be to read the books first, because there is a lot of humor in there that only a person that has read the book would understand. But excellent movie!

It wasn't the book, but that was to be expected. Aside from that the film was great! All of the actors did a great job playing their roles. Rob got Edward's aloofness down to a T, and Kristen was the ever stubborn yet, kind hearted and wise beyond her years, Bella Swan. What I really loved about this movie however, is that it feels very real. In most movies the actors sometimes play ordinary people better than we do ourselves, but Twilight wasn't like that, it wasn't fake, it was very real. Well, as real as you can get when you are dealing with vampires and shape shifters anyways, haha. The scenery was beautiful as well and the soundtrack was a great blend of melodious indie tunes, Bella's Lullaby, and edgy alternative songs.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I am a Twiligter (yeah one of those) so I was very excited to see the movie. I knew that it would not be as good as the book(s) because that is an unfair comparison. Books and movies are two different mediums. I thought it was a good adaptation, it did move very fast and I would like to talk with someone who saw the movie but didn't read the book to see how they felt the pacing and plot flow went. Rob Pattinson was really good at Edward ( a very hard role to fill with so many expectations). The other students were interesting not what I pictured but they didn't detract from the overall experience. I just wish it was longer and am looking forward to a director's cut with deleted scenes

The movie was great! I expected Jacob to look differently, but all characters played out wonderfully! You really should read the books of course b/c there is stuff left out and things are a little fast-paced with Edward and Bella, but you get so much more from the book about their relationship and bond, but the movie shows the bond between the two beautifully! Love Twilight! Enjoy!

Kristen Steward played a perfect Bella, Rob played an amazing Edward, the school kids were hilarious and the plot matched the book so much better than I thought! Very good movie and great ending leading to a sequel! Very happy with how it turned out!

My roommate, who is an absolute fanatic of the books, was heartbroken after seeing the movie. The plot was skimmed over and everything went too fast. There was absolutely no build up and the score did nothing to set the mood. All that on top of horribly cheesy lines like, "you are like my own personal heroin." A potential Harry Potter like following was ruined.

I went with my 2 high school daughters and we all loved it. The book was still a bit better though, but all the important points were covered. The actors all did an awesome job. Can't wait for the next movie.

I thought that the movie was really interesting, but it seemed like a low budget film with the way it was filmed it reminded me of the Blair Witch Project , you must read the book before you watch the movie or you will be lost but the actor are pretty decent. I would say this movie was not as good as i expected it to be.

I thought this movie was amazing. Overall it was very romantic and a perfect love story. I read the book when it first came out and the movie portrayed a lot of what I imagined in the movie. You read the book and imagine yourself to be Bella and in the movie you get to see how amazing the story truly is.

Just a few disappointments and even more points that were loved. Go see the movie realizing it is NOT like the book and you will LOVE it. We had a fun fun evening and the 5 hour wait was worth it ! :)

I went to see this movie with the understanding that it would of course deviate from the book since it's a 400 pg. book modified into a 2 hour long movie. I was pleasantly surprised!
Although, there were some alterations in the time line, sequence of events, and execution of dialouge they stayed true to the characters and spirit of the book even at times quoting it verbatim.
It was also an amazing experience to be a part of an audience that was so at one with each other while watching thie movie.
Edward finally kisses Bella and the whole audience lets out the breath they've been holding at once, then laughs at themselves.
Don't be overly critical and don't expect to it to be exactly like the book, but do read it first.

I have read all the books several times and I did really like the movie. The books are of course better, but overall I think they did a great job. You should go into the movie with an open mind, dont expect it to be just like the book. They cant fit 500 pages in two hours. Being a crazed fan of the books I was not disappointed by the movie. I really liked it and i do plan on seeing at least one more time.

I have read all four books numerous times and anxiously waited for the movie. The movie wasn't as amazing as the book but they never are. Overall I left feeling content. Edward, Charlie and especially Bella's school mates were amazing!!!! It moved really fast, and didn't have much character build up. A few of my friends had never read the books and they still enjoyed it.!!

If you're a die-hard book fan - be prepared for differences! The movie is fantastic but strays a lot from the book ... but it has to in order to make sense to people who haven't read the book.
I do recommend reading the book first - some parts will make a lot more sense and will help you understand why some characters act the way they do. It will give a lot more backstory to some interesting situations.
But if you're not into taking the time to read the book(s) just keep an open mind and enjoy it. It's basically Underworld on downers with a lot more romance.
I loved it - just keep an open mind. Did I mention you should keep an open mind?

For the most part I was rather disappointed in it. I had read the books before and as I was watching the movie I sat there lost and thinking to myself, "this is going to fast." If I was one who had only watched the movie, I would of been lost and wouldn't of been able to understand why certain things happened. The book is by FAR better than the movie. Although I will say that I rather enjoyed watching the Cullen's family entering the lunch room in the beginning. They were literally beautiful just as Bella had described in the book. Anyway, over all I felt it left out a lot and honestly I felt it could of been much better.

So when I first saw the previews for Twilight I was extremely excited but I knew that I would have to take the book and the movie seperately in order to enjoy it more because there are always discrepancies. However, I went to see it last night at midnight(: yes i am a hardcore fan. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. it did the book complete justice and got all key aspects and emotions tied in there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, even if you haven't read the book!

I was very dissappointed. The story skipped much too fast for you to really learn or identify with any of the characters. One of the most important scenes was limited to about 30 seconds.
Bella and Edwards' chemistry doesn't come through on the screen. It's a pity, these are good actors with great potential...

Okay so i am a died heart twilight fan and i love all the books and i liked the movie. Its not as wonderful as the books but what movie? if your a twilight fan and read all the books and can't decide if you want to see the movie, GO!! But dont Expect to much!! I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Series! I didn't expect much of the movie going into it, of course it couldn't compare to the books! However I was still a little disapointed. The actors did great with what they had. The script just didn't meet expectations. I still recommend seeing the movie simply in hope that they'll have a bigger budget for the next one! I wouldn't watch this movie if you have not read the book it would be confusing.

I loved loved loved the movie. &I definintely agree that you need to read the book before you see the movie otherwise you might not catch the whole movie. the cast was seriously gorgeous, like unbelievably! The movie was made really well! I do wish that it wasnt so "jumpy", like some of the parts just through me off because it jumped around soo much. Trust me, if they would have made the movie exactly follwing the book, even if it turned out to be a 6 hour long movie, it would still and forever be a box-office hit! The only thing that really bugged me was the Cullen's house. It was COMPLETELY different than how it was portrayed in the book.
But, overall I give Twilight a billion stars for a rating!

When it comes to my favorite books being made into movies I always approach with caution, Twilight was no exception. As I sat in the theater for hours to wait and get my seat the atmosphere was amazing. Something you can only get from fans eagerly anticipating a release. Finally at curtain everyone was screaming it was such a rush. The movie (with it's amazing soundtrack) began and I sat on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was action, comedy, romance, and hot actors all the way through. It stuck to the book overall and I LOVED hearing exact "key" quotes out of the book! I recommend this for all families and ages! Looking forward to the next! "My heart belongs to Edward!"

Twilight was a magnificent movie that I feel protrayed the book Twilight to the best of its ability. The movie was a mixture of just about every genre, and is the perfect movie to see with friends. As a long time Twi- hard, I recomend this movie to every one, but I recomend you read the book first so you can see what was changed. The cast and crew did a good job, and I feel as though Twilight deserves much reconization and praise. Bravo!
