Took my daughter to see this the day it came out. Have to say we both had a blast and really enjoyed the movie! She is a huge fan of the books, I have not started them yet, but really thought the movie was well worth seeing! Will definately go again!

'Twilight' was not really any better or any worse than I tought it would be, considering I have yet to read the book. I went with a few of my girlfriends that HAVE read the book. We attended the 11:00 p.m. showing at The Rave theater in Destin, FL and there was a prettty full house (cult flick). It was about what one might expect from a vampire movie, complete with a dash of ravenous forbidden vampire/mortal love, biting, good vampires vs. bad vampires, and the usual element of cute teen love.

I love Twilight, but I thought the movie was pretty bad. Half the lines were straight from the book, but if I hadn't read it, I don’t think I’d know what was going on because it was just so choppy. I also don't think I was supposed to laugh as much as I did, but it was just so awkward. Still, I couldn't help but enjoy it. The adaptation was poorly executed, but they actually stuck to the story without changing too much. Their choice of all the actors was phenomenal. Best of all, they didn't make the supernatural aspects too cheesy. Overall, the movie fell somewhere between awesome and awful. I will probably see it again, and I would recommend it to other fans (and maybe not yet fans) with the warning not to expect too much.

I'd stick with the books. While I enjoyed the movie I felt that the book had so much more detail. My daughters enjoyed the movie and would probably go see the next one that comes out in a theatre. I will wait for it to come out on DVD.

The movie was wonderful. The characters were portrayed amazingly, the only problem with it was that Alice was too tall. The small additions to the movie which were not in the book only added to the experience, though a few key things from the book were left out. MUST read book before seeing!!!!

I loved the movie, it is definitly a movie for the people that have read the book though, It felt a little rush somehow though, I would of like to have the James clan a little bit more scary? the attacks did'nt get my blood going, Rob n Kristen were fantastic definitly I'll see the movie again. There are parts that are a little light and I was not sure if I was suppose to laugh or not? that bother me a bit.
Otherwise I loved it, Rob was amazing and totally HOT, Kristen and Rob make this movie worth every single penny it makes

Whether you're a previous Twilight fan or not, the movie will be an excellent one to see. There are parts only Twilight readers will understand, but the majority of the movie is understandable to all viewers. I felt the characters were portrayed perfectly by the actors. The movie is different from the book, but we should all expect that. Humor was added to the script, and it fit in well. The main problem many will have is that the movie is more 'grown up' than the book. The movie went by fast, it was hard to believe it was already two hours when it was over, but it was incredible. Overall, Twilight is an amazing movie, and I recommend it to everyone.

I really did not think the movie would live up to the book, but I had to see how they would do it. It was a very good movie and the characters were very well done! I am a HUGE fan of the series and will probably see it again during the week when all the screaming girls for Edward are in school.

WOW. If one word could describe a movie...that would be it. Unlike Harry Potter...the characters TOTALLY changed how I will re-read the books. No one really looked the way I expected...especially Jacob. And you know...for a bad guy, James was freakin' amazing to look at. Any time a movie can make my heart race, make me feel an ACHE for a love like that of Bella and Edward, and send me home wondering where I can find MY OWN vamire...you know it's good. What I love most about this series is that you don't have to be a perfect 10 or a blue eyed blonde to catch the "hero"...I love that about the movie too. The "hottie", Jessica didn't get the prize...Bella did. It would be great to see more stories like this. Oh ya, and GO TEAM EDWARD! :D

I read all 4 books (twice) - the movie definitely did the books justice here! The overall storyline and feel of the characters was upheld throughout the movie. The only drawback to the movie was Jasper's character. He was more intense than was portrayed in the book and looked too comical in the movie. The meadow scene where Edward "sparkled" was amazing! It was everything that a true Twilighter would have have imagined it to be! I personally would have liked the romance storyline between Edward and Bella to have been drawn out a little more thus making the movie length longer and giving it some more depth, but all in all it was still a great rendition for the first book! I look forward to the sequel!

The Twilight movie was overall pretty good. There were some discrepencies between the book and the movie, but if you bypass them the movie was great. The casting director did an excellent job casting Robert Pattinson as Edward, as well as the rest of the characters. Girls will be weak with the feelings of love when they watch the movie because Edward will just take them over. Some people have said that the movie was too long, but I know I definitely could've sat there longer just to be able to see Edward, and it would've been nice if more events from the book happened in the movie.

Loved the movie! I am impressed with how artistically made it is. It is a must to read the book first because you'll get so much more out of the movie. Bella and Edward's love is much more electric knowing their thoughts from the book. The only thing that I would've liked to have seen a little more of was the development of some of the other characters....but they hit the mark with Bella and Edwards immediate love for each other. You could feel the heat! Highly recommended!

I gave it two stars because Charlie and Bella's relationship was spot on. Other than that the movie was a HUGE letdown. HOWEVER I am 41 years old. I am sure teens and tweens will love it. I thought it was pure cheese! I hated the "climbing" scenes.

This was a great movie! I've read all the books and I really hope they make all of them into movies. Edward is amazing and every girl should have one!! :P lol. I can definitely see the bond between him and Bella on screen. They did an awesome job. I would definitely see it again

I am such a fan of the books, so naturally I was really anticipating something of the same calibur..................... there was no way they could have put in all of the great details of the story, so if you didnt read the books, you were in the dark. The actors they chose for some of the characters were just wrong. (Eric and Angela) Although Angela's acting was better than most. Jacob was a disaster!! You could actually see his wig!! How awful for Jacob fans!! The acting was 3rd rate................... and the story itself was missing some important parts. The setting was beautiful as well as Edward :) But overall it was very dissappointing!!

There is alot left out from the movie that is in the book. I suggest to get the full Twilight experience, read the book then go see the movie.
The characters are cast extremely well tho. So get ready for your idea of the characters to be manifest on the big screen.
But lets just hope the DVD has missing scenes that make the movie more cohesive to the book.

This movie was terrific. Edward was everything we hoped, as were his family members. I recommend reading the book first if you haven't. It will enhance your movie experience. Some of the smoldering looks are especially meaningful if you know the backstory behind them. They left out some important scenes, but took very few liberties -- I thought they followed the book closely. I would recommend the movie highly. My only casting reservation was with Jacob. He didn't look like I expected, and there wasn't the tension I was expecting between him and Edward. Also, he's not how I pictured him. Bella, too, was not quite what I was expecting. She's not as clutzy as in the book, for instance. Definitely, Edward steals the show!

I enjoyed this movie a lot. But because I compare too much, I thought that the time between Bella and Edward moved too fast. They didn't spend enough time with their relationship developing. And they left out the scene where Bella feels sick because of the blood and Edward carries her to the nurse. Also, Edward was a little awkward at the beginning. But overall, it was good.

I saw the movie last night with a few friends of mine. Neither one of them had read the books and I already have. One of them are now extremely eager to read the books after seeing the movie! Yes, as most people will tell you the movie moves at a much faster pace than the book, but they were able to pack so much into just two hours. I definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Since Twilight was such a long, detailed book, I was very skeptical on whether the movie would include all the important details and whether it would really portray the chemistry of Edward and Bella. The makers of the movie did an amazing job! I was truly impressed. Bella and Edward acted towards each other just like the characters in my head did as I read the book. Of course some elements from the book were left out, but all of the important parts, including several word-for-word book quotes were included. I definitely recommend the movie to all - Twilight book fans, or not.

So just as an extreme twilight fan, I have got to say that I am slightly disappointed by the movie overall. Several key moments of the book were neglected, such as the meadow scene took place in a completely different setting, there was no explanation of the music montage, it made it seem like he had only spent one night with Bella, and the exploration of vampires as in the movie differes from the book. I am shocked and astounded that Stephanie Meyer would give the go ahead on this version of the film.

The movie was a good movie was I truely felt the chemistry between Bella and Edward. I made my husband take me to the movie and he is such a credit. I had no clue how he was going to react to the movie because he is not into the whole romance theme. He actually liked it too. But, for those of you actually read the book would agree that they story bounced around a little from beginning to end. But the movie was good and complimented the book well. I give it a four star rating.. And I would watch it again if someone would babysit my kids! LOL

If you are an advid fan of the twilight series you will soon learn that the movie doesn't stand up to the excellence of the book. There were a lot of parts in the book that were not in the movie and the movie went way to fast past some important parts. The lines in the movie were a bit cheesy as well. If you are like me and know everything that happened in the book you will be disappointed when you see the movie and find they have changed and added in parts that don't fit the book. I personally perfer the book and my own imagination of what the movie would've been like over the actual movie.

You just have to remind yourself that no movie can ever be the book. I thought Twilight stuck very well to the plot of the book, and I loved the entire cast, except Kristen Stewart, I just don't think she did justice to the character. Robert Pattinson was amazing though. Overall I thought the movie was okay, but it wasn't the book and it couldn't have been.

Although you can go see the movie and follow along pretty well without reading the book, I recommend reading it before you go see the movie. Having read the book before the movie I understood everything that some people did not. Readers just know all the details that the movie didn't cover. I thought the movie was great!! I absolutely loved it. There were some details left out, but how much could they really fit into 2 hours out of a 600 page book? It was funny and emotional and action-packed and followed the book pretty well. Im going to see it again!

I was already a big fan of the Twilight series, so I really enjoyed the movie. However, if you haven't read the books, you might be a little lost. I did think the characters were cast very well. Most were as I had imagined them.
I have to admit the special effects were dismal, so hopefully by the next movie they will have a bit larger budget for that.
Overall, I liked the movie because I like the story. Well done.
