It was embarrassing to watch this movie because of how bad it was. The characters were not built up or defined at all, as they were in the book, but were simply thrown into a plot that made no sense in such a thin context. Very disappointing. Very shallow.

A "cool" love story for teenagers without sex, profanity or gore. Amazing & hard to find these days! My two teenage daughters and I (mom) loved it. You must read the book first to appreciate it fully though.

So read the book previous to watching the movie&dont expect the movie to be exactly like the book u simply cant fit the same emotions and details in a movie than u can in a book
That being said the movie was very good
There were a few cheesy parts but thats going to happen
Rob Pattinson definaetly got the crooked smile right!
The only part that made me mad was the ballet studio b/c it looked nothing like what the studio Steph wrote about It didnt even look like a real Arizona studio it looked like a New York Studio The only part that actually looked anything like the studio in the book was the exit door I guess Im being over-critical b/c I live in phx and been to the real studio but still It could have been better

I loved the books, and i loved the movie. I think that there were some very key points to the book that were lacking in the movie, I.E. the bio class with blood testing.. I would have liked to see that. But overall it was so good.
I took my cousin whom doesn't like to read to see the movie. She loved it so much we went directly to a book store and bought the books for her!
I love it and will watch it over and over and over

i loved the humans and charlie they were prob my favorites
the cullens were cast PERFECTLY
edward made my heart stop
bella was not right
she had lttle to now emotion in the movie
edward and bella never said "i love u"
they never explained jaspers power
the first meet in the bio class?
are u kidding me?!
also when bella is in the hospital...did she have an aneurism? she couldn't make out a full sentence
and they were to busy making sure that all the scenes were in the movie that it looked too choppy
it went from one scene to the next to the next
without developing on the characters more
im still gonna go see this at least 5 times so that new moon will be much better

This is a movie that will strum the heart-strings of serious Stephenie Meyer fans. However, even for the die-hard like me, there were some sour chords. Some of the visual effects were rather cheesy, and although I loved the cast line-up, Kristin Stewart had trouble a time or two. I didn't feel the director included the small interactions between Bella and Edward that truely defined their relationship.
However, on the positive note, I did feel the cast was perfectly lined up, both visually and talent-wise. The movie did stick true to the plot on major details, and it had real winning action and tension.
I would NOT recommend seeing this movie without reading the book first!

This movie was GREAT. I loved som of the lines that she choose for Edwards to say the Bell. The actors did very well also. They made me fell the love between them. My kids also really liked the movie. So this movie is for the young and the young at heart . Greta job everyone for this once in awhile great movie I got to see.

It's a great movie. Yet you must read the book before watching! It tends to say things only somone that had read the book ould understand. I went with my boyfriend (who refuses to pick up a book) and had to constantly explain what everything ment. Just make sure to read the book and go with pople who have aswell. I totally loved it though!

I have read all the books and loved them all. I went to this movie with mild expectations, but this movie was far worse than i could have ever expected. If i was Stephanie Meyer i would not allow any of my other books to be butcherd by this cast of untalented hags. It so damn awkward that it made me laugh due to discomfort thoughout the bulk of the tourturous 2hrs length of this movie.

It may help to be under 18 to watch this movie. I am not sure if that is the main reason my group of friends found the movie to be way less than we had hoped it would be. It could also be how it skips over lots of parts in the book and really doesn't make you feel the intense emotional connection between Bella and Edward. They just seem to be two run of the mill forlorn teenagers. Though I did think the dad was kind of cute and one of the better characters. :)

I decided to be a good husband and take my wife to the movie of the books she has read twice.
There is deffinately a reason it is popular with all the teenage girls. There were WAY too many close ups of everyone. The acting was ok.
I entered the movie knowing it was a chick flick. I left the movie hating it.

The moment the lights went down in the theatre (on opening night) you could hear all of the teenagers in the theatre scream. I am a 30 something and normally I would have been really annoyed at this but I found myself smiling and laughing and feeling like one of them. The movie satisfied EVERY expectation I had! You MUST read the book before seeing it. Edward was completely sensual, romantic, and beautiful. I wished I was Bella! There were definitely some sequences from the book that were left out but overall I think people want to see this movie to get the same feeling they get from the book only visually and they will, they most definitely will!

I saw the movie last night and I can honestly say I was expecting much much worse...it was a great movie, what you have to remember is that it is still a PG-13 movie so it will not be as action/romance packed as anything R rated but I think the screen play stays semi-true to the book. It does run through somethings faster than the book puts emphasis on but the only thing you wouldn't get, if you didn't read the book before you watch the movie is, why some of the audience waits with bated breath for "Edward" to deliver a line that he doesn't really finish. "Well as long as I'm going to hell...." It's a great movie, EVERYONE will have a good time.

The movie stayed close to the book, I missed the hunting of the predators " Bears, Lions and such" How cool would it have been if we got to see Emmet wresle a bear !! All the girls were really hot, Victoria "WOW" It was a good movie but could have been better. Maybe they will sink a little more money into the next one and we can have more specail effects, That might get more guys into the theator to see it.

Hi, I read all of the books!!! I was pleased with the movie because there were alot of the lines from the book in the movie. It was very much like the book and most movies are a disappointment after you have read the book. Cant wait for New Moon to come out!!!!! i took my parnets, my grandma, and relunctant older brother and they all liked it too! the lines for the movie were long but it was fun to talk to people , contrasting the book and movie. GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!

I've read all of the books and they did a really good job translating it into a movie..
they deleted a lot of details that I think should have been left in the movie but all movies from books do that...they also added some things that didn't happen in the book to give it more action..They stay pretty true to the book with a lot of their lines coming directly from the books which is very cool..there are a few parts of the movie that are unintentionally funny because of the ackwardness of the situation the characters are in...like when Bella walks into the Biology lab and Edward looks like he's going to hurl from her scent! LOL..all in all it was a really good movie! Rob Pattinson makes an awesome Edward!! Be still my dazzled heart! :)

I did read the books before seeing the movie, and I was highly impressed with the adaptation of the novel into a screenplay. There were details left out of the movie from the book, but it was still an excellent movie.

So I have seen this movie twice already and it's barely been out for two days...Basically it's an amazing movie. Everything was really well done. I especially loved all of the parts with the high school kids, specifically Mike he was hilarious. Every character was cast well, and even the ones I wasn't sure about surprised me. So my recommendation would be to go see it. It's AWESOME!

If you read the book, you won't like it. They had to take a 600 page book and reduce it to a 100 page script. The movie is good, but if you've read the book you won't be able to enjoy it because your too bust criticing it the way the book was.
If you just go to watch it without knowing the book it will be nice.
But as a reader i was disappointed.

I loved the movie! Yeah it may not be exactly like the book but it's a movie what do you expect?? Some scenes were cut out but it is kinda hard to fit a 500 page book into a 2 hour movie!! I loved it! GO SEE IT!!! but I would suggest reading the book first!

While, I do love the Twilight series, I cannot say the same for the movie. There was way too much left out. My husband has never read the books, but I made him go with me, and he had a hard time following the plot. He kept asking me the whole movie what something would be about. They should have added a lot more from the book into the movie. My husband didn't understand how they could be in love already and not have even spent anytime together. I could have dealt with a lot longer movie if it would have had the plot development in it. Who ever wrote the screenplay did not know what they were doing. Plus the acting was sub-par. I kept feeling like they were going over the top.

My two daughters and I went to see Twilight yesterday and it was a really great movie. My youngest daughter had read the book and that was a real plus because there are things you will miss in the movie if you have not read the book . The cinematography is AMAZING and the story line is very touching. There is nothing in this movie that couldn't be seen by a young person, and that was a real nice touch. The actors and actresses do a wonderful job and there is only one scene that might get "the squeeemish", and it wasn't that bad. I really didn't think I would enjoy it but I was very pleasantly surprised.

so, i saw the movie last night (november 21) and i didn't really expect it to be a good movie. i read the books and i'm a big fan of the twilight series. when i saw the previews for the movie, i thought that it just wouldn't live up to the book, and i thought that they cast the wrong girl as bella, but when i watched the movie, my reaction changed. this movie great. the only thing that i would say could be worked on were the vmpires flying. you could tell that they were on wires, but aside form that, the movie is a must see if you have read the book and are n love with twilight. if you haven't read the book, i wouldn't reccomend seeing the movie.
