This is a movie that will strum the heart-strings of serious Stephenie Meyer fans. However, even for the die-hard like me, there were some sour chords. Some of the visual effects were rather cheesy, and although I loved the cast line-up, Kristin Stewart had trouble a time or two. I didn't feel the director included the small interactions between Bella and Edward that truely defined their relationship.
However, on the positive note, I did feel the cast was perfectly lined up, both visually and talent-wise. The movie did stick true to the plot on major details, and it had real winning action and tension.
I would NOT recommend seeing this movie without reading the book first!
