I LOVE the series and realized that the movie is never as good! I love the movie, but was disappointed in the special effect and the make up(You should never see make-up lines). I think the movie skated over the character of the relationship with Bella and Edward. It is more than just teen love! I would have liked them to build it more,but it will well worth the price for the ticket!!!!!

oh my goodness Twilight is the best movie i have seen this year!!!! It wasn't as good as the book (expected) but it does live up to fans expectations. If you read the book, you will enjoy it more than if you haven't, but i reccomend it either way. Great acting and casting. Special effects could be better, but definatly a hit.

After reading the amazingly fantastical books, I expected the movie to be a flop. When I had watched the previews, Edward & Bella just werent what I had expected. I expected it to be a lot different from the book because of the way the entire thing is written in Bella's thoughts and opinions. I was pleasantly surprised and will go see the movie again several times before I buy it!
Beware though!! There are 324097235 annoying people that clap & awwww & laugh at the worst times in the theatre- you will want to punch them all!!

This is a truely wonderful movie. It might be 2 hours long but it goes fast as Edward can go. Its a lovely love story that will live on forever. Gave Edward a face and to see his expression from the pages of the books makes it even better. I give it 2 thumps up and will see it again.

I am going to give this movie only one star. But i still think that is being too nice. I am a huge fan of the "vampire cult". So when Stephaine came out with these amazing books, i was really excited about the movie coming out. However, the movie was just a waste of my time. The editing was really bad! There was no character building like there was in the book. Half of the information in the book wasn't even mentioned. Personally, i won't be recommending the movie to any of my friends. (I went with a group of 32 people, 25 of us agreed that this was a waste. the other 7 hadn't read the books yet and was rather confused because of the editing)

I thought this was a really good movie, considering the budget they had. I thought it moved a little too fast, though, and it was hard to see the chemistry between Edward/Robert and Bella/Kristen. I know there was a lot left out, but making a book into a movie is a hard task in itself. And of course the meadow scene was a little disappointing. But all in all, I really loved the movie. The actors fit the parts amazingly well and I thought the special effects were really good! I'm definitely going to see it multiple times! Your best bet is to just go into the movie with an open mind, forget about the book, and enjoy the movie on the screen in front of you for what it's worth.

I found this movie to be a wonderful adaptation from the original book. Having to cut corners, and adapt for screenplay isn't always easy, and I may have done things a bit different, but, the writers for the movie did a wonderful job in telling the story of the beginning of Bella and Edward's relationship. Stephenie Meyer should be proud.

The movie was Great. Unlike some other movies this was very true to the book. Although it did move faster than the book did, and ofcourse had to skip some small book parts that we true Twilight fans would have liked to see. I think on a small down side they could have made the movie a little longer to try to get everything in it at a slower pace. I don't think any of us would mind sitting a little longer in a theater watching Rob Pattinson. It is a great movie though, and I have to agree with some of the other reviews saying to be sure and read the book first. I think the movie was much easier understood with having already read the book. There is talk that the 2nd one is already being made, I can't wait. This is a great movie for any age.

The problem with the movie adaptations on a book is that they have to adjust the screenplay to the main proceedings in the book. Somehow Twilight moves like a thriller and less on the main usp of the film i.e. love with a vampire. I overall liked the film and it has all the ingredients to build a franchise on it. I think the book is better.

I went into this movie with high expectations,so it could have been a let down. It wasn't. It exeeded my expectations. I was happy to see the humor in this movie. I had been a little concerned by the trailers that it might be too intense, dark, or all obsessive-love laden. It was a great balance of intense moments, followed by comic relief. The baseball game was well done. A very fun part of the movie. In all, it was well cast, entertaining and left me wanting more, which a good movie should do. I will want to see this movie again, I know, as will most who see it. And yes, it does help that Robert Pattinson is an unusual looking guy, whose appeal seems to have just been finally appreciated in this great role. Bravo, Rob!

I absolutely loved the twighlight book as well as the 3 that followed, but I have to say I was a bit disapointed in the lack of detail in the movie. Like the major things that you would need to know to understand the movies to come I felt werent really made known in Twilight the movie.
I know they had a limited budget in the film, however money didnt have anything to do with the fact they didnt bring certain things to the attention of the audience who didnt read the book. So I thought it was alright.

Even though some parts were rushed i belive the movie was great!! Ive read the books. Robert and Kristen portrey the best Edward and Bella. The setting is perfect. Some of the characters are not but the movie is still amazing. And filled with emotions. Absolutley go see the movie!

After months of anticipation, I finally saw Twilight, and was very disappointed. Kristen Stewart was terribly miscast as Bella, and has very poor acting skills. And while Rob (Edward) is very nice to look at, everytime he opened his mouth I was taken out of the movie. Their chemistry together was non-exsistant, and the special effects in the movie were laughable.
Charlie, Mike N, Jessica, Eric, and Angela were the only characters that really stole the show for me. I even found myself rooting for Victoria- who is the bad vampire.
Go and read the books and skip the movie. The books have more romance, passion and action than this movie can ever have.

It was a Great Movie. I didn't read the books so I walked in Blind other then know it was a vamp movie. I like the Twists they had and I may ....May read the books now.
The Actors did a fine job and the setting along with the history research was good.

Good: Edward, Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Jasper, Charlie, Nomads, chemistry between Bella and Edward, conveyed general story
Bad: Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Forks High students, directing (over the top and campy), editing (choppy flow to the movie), special effects (although I give them a break. It was LOW budget), depth of the characters and story wasn't there, lack of music caused the mood to be off in alot of the film
As an indie or student film this would have been phenominal. But the movie got more publicity than they were expecting which brought expectations of a Hollywood blockbuster. I have high hopes that the sequels will get bigger budgets and be more on the mark.

I have always been a big fan of Vampire movies in general.......Twilight however is not your typical vampire movie.....,,,and that is a GOOD thing. The story was great.....and moved along at just the right pace. I loved thsi movie....and already can't wait for the two sequela that they ar eplanning. SEE IT !!!!!

I am a mom in my 40's...my teenage daughter got me to read the series so I had to see the movie. I was a little disappointed at first but it quickly became a great movie! "Edward" definitely grew on me! Looking forward to sequels that follow the book.

I had just watched the movie on openinday in times square and i loved it...i have read all the books and am looking forward to the next movie. But the movie did miss some parts so unless u have read twilight u wont notice them. Before u watch the movie definitely read the book there were some scenes that would have looked perfect on the movie. DEFINITELY WATCH THE MOVIE AND READ THE MOVIE AND I GUARNTEE U WILL LOVE IT!

Loved the book. Loved the movie! As with all books that are turned into movies, there are a lot of parts that are left out. But seeing the interactions on screen enhances the book so much! What an amazing story Stephenie Meyer has created. The on-screen adaption of it is beyond fabulous! Sit back, relax and let yourself be taken away in the love that extends beyond forever! I honestly loved this movie! I was a little worried that this would be nothing or very little like the books. I was dead wrong. It was exactly like the books maybe with a few things missing but nothing majorly changed. The music for the movie was perfect! My favorite part was when Edward was saying goodbye to Bella because she was going to Phoenix to get away from James. And I thought the fight scene in the ballet studio was brilliant! My boyfriend even liked it haha! Anyway, I'm planning on seeing it again and definetly recommend people to see it!

It was pretty much what I expected. I didn't expect anything totally awesome because movies based on books are never as good as the books themselves. And I think it's because we all picture things differently in our heads. But...honestly I think if it'd had a better director then it would've been a lot better off. For New Moon, this director had better get a heck of a lot better or there just needs to be a new one all together...

It was absolutely a very great movie!!! I recommend to everyone who read twilight because most people wont understand if they hadnt read the book!! now for me, I think the person playing jasper was awesome! He showed the pain of trying not to drink bella blood! but everyone did a very good job. it satify my need of twilight love.

I have read all of the books and was worried that the movie would not do the books justice.... but I was not disappointed. The movie was amazing and whoever did the casting did an amazing job.... this is just how I pictured the characters!!! It will be interesting see how they do book 2. I would not recommend this movie for anyone under 10.
