ok... so i love the TWILIGHT books!! omg!! They're the best!! But what happened to the movie!? Bella she's so dramatic in the books... && in the movie she's so blah!? & her voice... =/ They missed so many good parts... the movie shouldnt have had a 2 hr limit... it takes longer then that to prove the point, plus we all would love to see a longer but better version on that!! Anyways, the movie was ok, just because i had read the books... & ill probably see it again!! TEAM EDWARD BABY!! =] Ohh & phx doesn't look anything like that!! haha... we do live in a desert, but come on!!

This movie was great. Could it have been better? Yes. Was the essence of the book captured? Yes. Considering budget, and a 500-page book being condensed into 2 -hours I'd say they pulled it off gracefully as possible. I woulld recommend to everyone, but to go with an open-mind. Forget it, it isn't going to be like the book but if you go with an open frame of mind, you'll enjoy it. I also recommend people see it twice. You'll like it a lot more the second time AND you'll fall in love with it more, like I did.

I am a big fan of the books. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed by this movie. I understand there is a budget to work with and all, but would it have been so bad to have Bella wear a sleeveless white eyelet shirt when she left Phoenix, or a blue shirt to visit Edward's family the first time? It's little things like this that makes it seem like this was less Stephenie Meyer's Twilight than Catherine Hardwick's.
I liked Kristen Stewart as Bella, and Robert Pattinson would be a great Edward, if it didn't seem like he was too busy concentrating on speaking like an American instead of actually allowing the dialogue to flow. All and all I am hoping for much MUCH better in the sequel.

I thought that for a book to movie adaptation this was a great movie. I wish it would have been longer and included the blood typing day at school. Overall, the characters were exactly what I was expecting and more- THEY WERE ALL AMAZINGLY HOT AND GREAT! I can't wait to see it again and for the other 3 to come out! I thought some of the comedy in it was too funny!

At this point I think I would have rather seen this as an HBO mini series!!! The budget would have been bigger than this film was given. For some reason every angle seemed small and confined and made me feel like they were working with closed quater sets!!!! Maybe the next one with get the budget it deserves!!!!!!

I went in expecting to be dissapointed but i was pleasantly wrong. This was a kind of movie where you can yell out in the audience and no one would mind. There's always someone who will agree. There were a few mistakes but they had to be made because there were some parts in the book that couldn't be duplicated. This movie was incredible

I was so excited for the movie and I had already expected the movie to not top the book of course. But I must say the movie was funny, romantic and had me askign for more. I cant wait for the sequel! too exciting and def buying it when it comes out. Robert Pattinson was great and super HOT- and in the beginning I thought he was not right for the part. DEF WAS WRONG.

I really felt let down, I wasn't expecting LOTR thought they would have a some amount of special effects. The climbing the tree scene looked stupid and the scene in the dance hall was so dark you'd think that light made them burst into flames. So much for dispelling the old vampire myths. For a "couple" that were supposed to be "soul mates" not able to live with out each other Bella and Edward's performance was without any sparks sure hope they get it together by the next movie, although I'm not sure I would go to the trouble of seeing it after this one maybe when it comes out on video....

The Movie was a great adaptation to the book...If you don't mind changes and of course the editing they have to do to make it only a 2 hour movie. The cast was great, and overall they didn't leave out toooo much, but hopefully for the sequels they will lengthen the movies a bit.

I have to say this movie really impressed me!! I have read the book and anticipated for this movie to come out for a long time. When I first seen the trailer I thought it was really lame that they didn't pick the characters right and the dialogue was cheesy, but after seening the movie I was blown away. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, its not just a girly movie, it's a movie anyone can watch. I would go see it again

I cannot believe how the movie industry has plumeted with its connections and reality to books that are written! Although i absolutely adore twilight, the movie was terrible! it skipped scenes too much and nothing made sense! Edward didn't even tell Bella to skip Class because of the blood testing The acting was terrible! the field they laid in was supposed to be edwards and Bella's special place! I felt too rushed. Dont get me wrong i love movies but i strongly believe this could of lived up to the book! everyone has told stories of how they enjoyed this movie, but i sadly have not enjoyed this movie. The whole thing didnt flow well!

Let's be honest, the book is much better than the movie. That being said, the movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The beginning of the movie was very choppy, and I believe that to be the fault of the post-production team, since they were rushed and bumped up to 11/21 instead of 12/12 (Thanks a lot Harry Potter) Edward initially acted like he was addicted to some sort of narcotic, got his act together about halfway through. It was good, but there was much room for improvement. Hopefully the sequel will be much better; oh and ACTING LESSONS ALL AROUND!

My 14-year old daughter and I are avid fans of the books. She loved it; I enjoyed it but thought some of the effects were truly awful given what is possible today. E.g., I laughed out loud at the fast-motion running. The vampires wore cheezy opaque contact lense that were distracting and particularly disappointing right after the outstanding CG eye-effects in the preview for "Push." Also, I thought that the screenplay gave far too little attention to developing Edward and Bella's friendship to make the romance seem believable despite great acting. Billy Burke's Charlie was dead-on perfect and provided some excellent laughs as he tried to cope with his teenage daughter. I hope the sequel has a stronger screenplay and better effects.

They combined a lot of scenes together from the book, or they omitted the boring scenes, but in some parts it was very funny. I really thought the actor who played Jasper, did a very convincing job at his part. I loved the whole movie and would go see it again. I will be buying the dvd when it comes out.

I believe that if this movie should be reviewed- it should be seperated into two sections, one for the Readers of this book, and One for the first time Viewers who have not read the book.
I've read all four books, and i thing that the movie was a great "Summary" of the first book, and even though many parts from the book werent inlcuded-i think it was still okay since it got to the point! Many who read the book would say the movie wasnt any good,But how else would YOU put a 400 page book into a TWo hour movie???
And i think that as for those who haven't read the book, People liked it the most because they still See what others- that have read the book- have told them about Edward and Bella.

I went in trying to remember that "this is not the book." I was pleasantly surprised that it kinda stuck to the book. Of course a lot was not there, but hey, it's only a two hour long movie. I hope they get more money to make "New Moon" because in order to have some decent werewolves walking around, they will need some serious CGI. Overall--good. Will be recommending this to friends and students!!!

This movie is exactly like the novel. The characters were believable and you are completely sucked into the movie. I went with my daughter and her two friends on Nov. 21st. The theater was packed and the girls went crazy. They were all cheering and clapping for Edward and "Bella". At times you couldn't hear the movie because of all the girls wanting to be Bella. Even the mom's in the theater said that "They want some of that" (meaning Edward). The movie is excellent and I would recommend it. Mom's bring your daughters, guys bring your girlfriends. It's a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Go see it if you can.

to be honest i saw the movie at midnight and left ready to cry because it was so terrible to me. then i saw it again and i thought it was AMAZING! once you get over that it is no where near the book in greatness you can appreciate the acting and story line for what it is. edward was perfect and a dream boat while bella did amazingly well considering i usually dislike her in other movies. see the movie and if you dont like it at first see it again, it makes a huge difference and will dazzle you the second time around.

If you are huge twilight fan, like me, there is no doubt you will love this movie. It stays true to the book and tells the story wonderfully. . If you had any doubts about how good the actors or actresses chosen for a certain part, you will feel stupid after seeing the movie to doubt them at all. If you are not a fan, it is still a great movie. It's not a confusing story line and it has good character build up. Not to mention that Rob Pattinson is AMAZINGLY HOTT! Make sure you go to this movie with friends. It is a must see.

Having read all the books, I still went into this with no expectations. The quality was about as expected. I felt that none of the vampires were up to the "exquisite, breathtaking beauty" that the books led you to expect. I felt that most of the side characters' acting was better than Bella and Edward. Despite all of that, I loved it! It was comical, cheesy at times, but was definitely a fun show to watch. (it almost had a Bollywood feel-minus the music!) I hope that the next ones have a little more money in the production, and keep the comedic thread.

if you had read the twilight series then you will LOVE the movie.
if you have not read it then you will think that it was kind of lame, or the story line seemed thin, only because you did not know the background behind the things that were happening.
so i rate this half and half, if your a die-hard twilight fan and have read the books, then you WILL love the movie, and if you haven't read the books, read it anyway its way better then the movie and you will also enjoy the movies.
