It wasnt as good as the book but i still liked it, i laughed at alot of the parts, and it entertained me. I cant wait for New Moon, i think it will be better because of how it'll start off.

The actors all did a tremendously good job getting into their characters, and embellishing their characters where the book was silent. Edward and Bella were especially portrayed well. I could really see Edward's self-loathing and Bella's stubbornness and awkwardness. Also, they did have great chemistry.
The beginning is a bit awkward and scenes are out of place from the book, but that's necessary, I guess. Honestly, it matched the beginning tempo of the book. The last half is just as riveting and compelling as the last half of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Well done!

I read Twilight because a co-worker of mine said it was a good book about vampires. I decided to buy the books and read the series. I was enthralled & could not stop reading. Let me tell you that I had high expectations for the movie. I went into it knowing it would not be exactly like the book - I knew scenes, lines, and even the storyline itself would be altered to accomodate a movie. Well, IT WAS FREAKIN PERFECT! All the characters were pulled off perfectly. There was a good mix of humor, romance, and action. I cant wait for the next movie ... and most of all I cant wait until the very last book is made into a movie !

For the first time ever I have found a book that has been made into a movie that I didn't leave the theatre wanting my money and my time back. Though there were still parts of the book that I feel very strongly should have been in the movie because they proved to be vital in some way or another to the story. But I guess we really can't have our cake and eat it to. Still I was extremely pleased with the way this movie turned out. I have already seen it twice and will definatly be going to see it again.

The movie was a good adaptation of the book. I love the book and had eagerly anticipated the arrival of the movie along with my teen-age daughters. I love the romance between Bella & Edward. The actors did a great job of portraying the characters and the sweetness of their romance shines through. I could easily see why millions of girls have fallen in love with Edward and the character who portrays him in the movie.

I thought this was a good adaptation of the book, even better than the book if I had go so far. The acting by Robert Pattinson was amazing, I really hope they do the sequels. I'm really hoping when they release the dvd they add bonus materials and deleted scenes, actors interviews and additional commentaries. Rob put in an amazing performance and I think the chemistry between the characters was very well done. The casting was spot on.

Im a huge fan of the books and have to say they stayed pretty true to them. There was a scene added in the movie that was never in the book but it made the movie more cohesive. And of course the movie went by faster than the books did so I felt that the movie could have been a little longer. The characters were all pretty much how I imagined them to look like. The movie was great!

Okay so my friends had reservations about seeing Twilight because of all the media showing a bunch of crazed young screaming girls in the theaters. EVERYONE enjoyed the movie! Guys liked the fighting, us ladies liked the overall movie... It was great! When I went, I even saw men in business attire sneaking in the theater to watch... Out of my friends, I was the only one who had read the books, now they are all borrowing my copy. This movie was excellent!

I have never read the book or heard anything about it. I saw the previews and didnt think it was going to be that good. But man was I proved wrong. This movie was absolutely amazing. I want to go see it again and again. Now I want to read the book and see the next one! I couldn't believe the chemistry. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat.

Although I thought the movie didn't capture everything the book presents, I felt it was a good introduction of Edward & Bella overall. It was a little vague in parts and not as detailed as I'd expected, but all of the Twilight Series fans that I went to the movies with loved that we got to see all of our "friends" from the book on the big screen!

The movie had it's ups and downs. The Cullen men were brilliantly cast. Jackson Rathbone does an amazing job as Jasper, even with very few lines, his facial expressions were priceless and conveyed so much. Kellan Lutz was fantastic as Emmett also, perfectly capturing the big brother figure. Robert Pattinson was great, and gorgeous obviously. But the plot of the movie was lacking, leaving out essential details from the book and making it hard to follow for someone who hasn't read it. The chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was awkward and almost nonexistent. Kristen Stewart's portrayal of Bella was too boyish and much too forward. Overall the writing was disappointing, and the casting of Kristen Stewart was a bad choice.

Obviously they couldn't do the movie EXACTLY like the book... otherwise we would be sitting there for hours and hours. But they did a GREAT job on the first movie! And they left it wide open for the second one! I can NOT wait! The movie was great! My huband (36 years old) loved it as well! And he has not even read the books yet. I want to move to "Forks" now! LOVED IT!

Twilight really is "one of a kind". Maybe the action was low-key but COME ON! Anyone who has read the books knows that this movie isn't about ACTION. It's about LOVE! It's about the love between a regular teenage girl who finds herself falling in love with "perfect Edward" who really isn't perfect at all. Twilight is an epic love story that will last forever. This film is true to the millions of fans all over the world who have loved Twilight from the beginning. WELL-DONE!!! There are definitely moments for the Twilight fans that will confuse people watching this film before reading the book. So READ THE BOOK! No matter who you are, where you've come from - you can relate to these characters and enjoy this "guilty pleasure" of a movie.

twilight was the best movie ever and im not saying as a twilight fan but it was a great movie. I thought the director did an amazing job. she made it funny even when was supposed to be serious. It was so funny when Bella came into Bio the first day, Edward made theface like he was going to puke. The thing that i will criticize is that I couldn't take the scene in the Ballet studio seriously. A bad thing is when carlisle is talking to edward about taking the venom out Alice, Emmett, and Jasper are dismembering James in the background they are laughing, dancing and acting as if its a party. It is soooo funny even though it should be kind of serious.

After reading the series written by Stephanie Meyer, this movie was somewhat of a disappointment. The main problem, is that you don't really have time to understand Edwards nature and who he is, so you don't understand why he loves Belle more than his desire for her blood. They never really explore his pain/overwhelming desire for her blood on screne.
While there is a lot of action sceenes and some romance, as a veiwer, I had trouble understanding why she was willing to scacrifice her life for someone she barely knows; also his desire to choose her for love, since her character of real concern for others and goodness is altered.
I would recamend this movie but, it is not as good as it could have been!

I've read all the books and reread some over 20 times. Needless to say I absolutely love the books and where the author took the story. I tried to go into this with an open mind and was disappointed in the results. Not only was the movie very spotty at best, the actor cast to play Edward failed miserably. Not only does he not resemble the character, he cannot act his way out of a paper bag. Oh, and then there's Jasper. Talk about aweful. He looked like a teen rapist. I only hope future movies are not this bad.

I loved the movie, had a great time. Rob and Kristen had great chemistry, they made the movie. I am glad I read the book it filled in a lot of details and cemented everyone's ties and relationships. I can't wait for the DVD, I hope there is an extended version or plenty of deleted scenes!! I can't wait to see it again!!

I, of course, loved the love story. But, then again, I can't find any faults with the books. Therefore, as long as it is translated (in some way) to the big screen, I'm happy! My husband has not read any of the novels, and liked it a lot! Great date movie. Can't wait for sequels!

Seen it again today. I've been waiting to watch it on the big screen ever since I heard that it was being made into a movie. It wasn't a neccessarily a "let-down", but neither was it an "above expectations." It had it's funny points, it's slightly exciting points, but to be completely honest, I found today's audience's reaction to the film a bit over-exaggerated. The movie itself wasn't bad, it's just that after reading the book, it fell slightly short. I still liked the movie though. I'd still want to see the next one(s) and I'll probably be in the same hype for them as I was for this one. It's just that there were somethings that could've been done better.

My wife has read all the books and was very interested in seeing the movie. From hearing her talk about the book, my interest rose. We bought tickets early and went to the 4 o'clock showing. The movie was very interesting and the use of special effects and lighting was great. The story line was one that kept you wanting more. I look forward to the follow up movies and may even read the books. Good movie.

Many people are saying they're disappointed in how the movie was compared to the book. Look, you can't make a perfect movie. It was really sweet, apart from jasper's face (HAHAH!!), and they did a great job! I wasn't diappointed at all, because i wasn't expecting it to be wonderful, just good. With that in mind, i was impressed. I'm 15, i've read the book 7+ times. I'm a HUGE fan, and i wasn't disappointed. Can't wait for new moon! Oh, and i DO have a life. :)
