Another typical X-men character movie that doesn't follow the comic. The movie was great up until the ending. The ending was horrible but overall it is a decent movie and Huge Jackman saves the movie from complete failure.

Even though it didn't follow the true origin perfectly, it was an excellent story. Jackman's acting was the best of the X serise, I was fully entertained from start to finish. Ryan Reynolds was perfect for Deadpool, I hope they expand on that character. Comic book purists suck!

I really enjoyed this movie. The action was great and the story line was nice. I'm still not sure what Will.I.AM purpose in the movie was, but the movie was enjoyable. I am not comic book fanatic so I cannot compare the movie to them.

If you've decided you're going to believe some of the reviewers, don't bother. If you come into it with an open mind, you'll enjoy yourself. Plaudits to the young actors playing the two leads. This is a good cast that seem to enjoy inhabiting the world they're in. It stumbles only when it tries too hard to be in continuity with the first three X-Men movies. No, this movie isn't going to change your life. It's about a bunch of psychopaths with super-powers carving a swath through history. It features characters walking slow-mo from the burning wreckage of a helicopter. You won't cry a river of tears for their pain. Read a book about childbirth if you want to know about pain.

really enjoyed the workprint/final release. i think it does wolverine justice and the audience seemed to enjoy it. walking out i heard some guy say this was better than all 3 xmen movies... i guess anyone whose seen all 3 have a valid position. heh

I did'nt enjoy the movie as much the 1st x-men. It did not match the comic books. Saber Tooth and Wolverine were not brothers and Wolverine did not kill his father. The action in the movie was not amusing.

Over all I liked the movie, I am a true X-men fan at heart, but I'm not really fickle with movies like most. It was much better than X3 which I still pretend didn't exist. Decent story, lots of action, predictable ending, but leaves it open for more.
As a girl can't complain about Taylor Kitch, Ryan Reynolds, or Hugh Jackman--all pretty and there was romance too.
A good summer popcorn flick

The movie goer side of me really enjoyed the movie. Good story line and plot, spectacular effects and fight scenes, but it seemed a bit rushed, and the comic book geek side of me was somewhat dissappointed. Only about 30-35% accurate to the actual history of Wolverine. So comic book purist will probably not like it, but all in all it was an entertaining movie. hopefully there will be a directors cut dvd with more scenes that will make the movie flow alittle better.

I see big summer blockbusters for the simple pleasure of mild entertainment. I want to be wowed by effects or stand in aww at how big an explosion can be. I don't know why I expected this movie to be anything more. I figured fourth times the charm right. How can you continue to make such shallow x-men movies? So if you plan on seeing this movie don't go expecting intriguing characters or the best story of the year. All this movie has going for it is decent effects and some interesting fight scenes. Hollywood really knows how to take away depth and meaning. This may be the last time I waste money on the X-men genre; at least until they remake it like Batman 20 years from now.

I tried going in to give it the benefit of the doubt, and was even ok with it, during the 1st act. But once he got the Adamantium- hoo boy! It just got sloppy and bad. Things were just thrown in, hoping they would stick (Gambit being one example), but none of it worked, as all attempts made came off really hollow. For example, towards the end a character dies, and there's supposed to be some impact in the death. But the problem is the character was introduced in such a sloppy way, that the emotion on the death was never earned.
Not even a mediocre film, Wolverine proves once again that the only people who should be handling the Marvel films is Marvel themselves.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I loved all the Xmen movies and this one is right there with the others. I love the special effects. This movie answered ALOT of questions of how things came about. I would go see it again at full price...I can't wait for the DVD.

It was exciting and refreshing to see the origins of some well loved characters from the comic strip that weren't apart of the other three films. Hugh Jackman's commitment to the character ensues and stays true to form. Liev Schreiber brings a new dimension to Sabretooth's status of supervillian that Tyler Mane did not translate. The only small disapointment is Deadpool's image and abilites during the fight scene at the end of the film that held a strong resemblence to the Mortal Kombat character Baraka complete with razor sharp katana's protruding from his forearms. Overall, this film fits in perfectly with the spirit of the other three films and follows the storyline, especially X2: X-men United.

Wolverine just does not match up to the recent spate of comic book superhero movies. IronMan, Batman, HellBoy & even the The Hulk were all better movies. That said there are some redeeming aspects: Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine and he inhabits the character well. The action sequences were exciting and fun to watch - for the most part. The pacing of the movie and the cinematography were above average. The director simply tried to squeeze too much in to this film. Everyone would have liked to have spent more time with Gambit & DeadPool. I give Hood, Jackman & the team an A for effort and a C for execution. This movie was a bit too 2-dimensional for my taste. Worth a theater viewing but keep your expectations on the low side.

If youare into the X-men thinglike me and my lady, you will enjoy this flick. They make it blend well with all of the other movies. This movie is about Wolverine building up to where you see him in the original X-men movies. There is lots of awesome action seens and great insight on why wolverine is the way he is.

This is what X-men should have been like from the start. Fight scenes and the revolving plot makes the time go by fast. Worth the money.... do yourself a favor and see it in the theater, not bootleg garbage... this move is one you have to see on the big screen to enjoy.

I thnk this movie was really well done. Yes, they took a few liberties with the storyline, but overall it was faithful to the comic. Liev absolutely ROCKED as Sabretooth -- so evil!! Taylor was WONDERFUL as Gambit -- wanted to see more of him!! Hugh, as per usual, was AWESOME! If you are any sort of X-Men fan, you will enjoy this installment. NOW GO SEE IT!! NOW!!! :)

Good flick, but I do have some dislikes. Wolverine should have been a little more darker. Gambit and dead pool are grate in the movie,but don't see them a lot. Other then those small negatives it`s a good movie and you need to see it!

I believe that they should of made this a long time ago. this movie was really good. it should how wolverine was given his name and his new upgrade to his gift. it also showed scott/cyclops, victor/sabertooth. X-men have been pretty clean up till this one. I don't remember near as much language in the last ones. On top of the that, they showed Wolverine naked from the rear a few times....that wasn't necessary. but other than those.. IT WAS AWESOME! GREAT MOVIE. Graphics in one part wasn't great.. but over all as I said. this movie was awesome! I'd go see it again.
