I see big summer blockbusters for the simple pleasure of mild entertainment. I want to be wowed by effects or stand in aww at how big an explosion can be. I don't know why I expected this movie to be anything more. I figured fourth times the charm right. How can you continue to make such shallow x-men movies? So if you plan on seeing this movie don't go expecting intriguing characters or the best story of the year. All this movie has going for it is decent effects and some interesting fight scenes. Hollywood really knows how to take away depth and meaning. This may be the last time I waste money on the X-men genre; at least until they remake it like Batman 20 years from now.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
