I took my 2 boys, ages 9 and 7, to see this on opening night. I have a couple of complaints about it. There were some very unnecessary crude jokes and a few unnecessary bad words in it. I think that for the most part, those things went right over my kids' heads because they're so young and have never heard or seen that stuff before, and they just didn't understand it. But for kids who are a little older, it might make an impression. Other than that, my boys loved it, and my husband and I enjoyed it, too. Cool visuals!

Excellent film, great storyline and does a great job following the original characters and cartoon universe. Bigger budget means a TON more animation and transformations. Much, much more Optimus Prime in this film, which is a great thing.

The 2nd installment is practically identical in formula to the 1st but amplified to the point of boredom. The jokes are more plentiful, more cute pets, the girls are more sexy, the explosions are er uh.. more explosive, more Autobots, more story-telling based on the Autobot's history, more chase and battle scenes, improved audio FX.
With all of this we get less character involvement, drawn out battles that play out way too long, and a rushed epilogue. Not a BAD movie in any sense but numbing to the point of boredom due to relentless action. Some clever writing and story telling from a film of this genre, it carefully avoids cliches and sappiness, and posing is kept to a safe minimum, but a good 20 minute trim would have helped enormously.

It's cool and funny. It held our attention from beginning to end. I do hope they will think twice before making another and realize that more kids are watching than adults. Most of the adults in attendance are there with kids.

The movie was OK. It was difficult to follow the dialog and the fight scenes since they are all metal and they have their own accent. They tried to put too much: romance, fights, mistery...at the end it made it cheesy and that is not what one is looking for in an action movie.

This movie from the beginning grabbed your attention and held on to it until the very end! Even at the beginning there was intense battles, and throughout the movie as well. the battles were incredibly made.the graphics were incredible. and you can tell there's going to be a 3rd one!

I went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen not expecting anything. The movie starts off great and keeps going for about an hour and a half. After that, it begins to drag and I started wondering when is this movie is going to end, but for the last 15 to 20 minutes it picked up again. There is a lot of action and comic relief. As for taking the kiddies, I'd hold off, unless they're above the age of 13, due to language & some mild adult situations. I definitely would recommend this movie to friends and family, but it MUST be seen in IMAX to get the full experience.

I am an avid Transformers fan ever since they first came out when I was a kid in the early 80's. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg have definitely outdone themselves with this marvelous sequel. It was action packed from beginning to end...very funny thanks to Shia as well as a naturally hilarious supporting cast of actors and characters. I think this is definitely the best movie of the summer and it lived up to all my expectations which I already knew it would. You have definitely got to see this movie and then go see it again!

I bought my ticket online here, and was very pleased by what I saw! I now wonder if the "Dinobots" will show up in #3? A rocking movie, that glued me to my seat, and am in need to buy the dvd so I can disect the action! I was amazed by the choreography, that I think it is necessary to purchase that video! dont go into this movie thinking your about to watch forest gump or something, its not moving or have some deeper meaning, its an action flick, and its F'in AWESOME.....
action scenes are soooo realistic, sometimes i forgot the robots were fake, HA, megan fox...what can i say, looking amazing as always...
movie had it all, made you laugh (quite a lot), i kinda got choked up, had you on the edge of your seat the whole time, and definitely had no down time.....everything i expected and more.....best summer action flic of 09!!!!!

The movie was definitely fun and exciting. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating is for the fact that this movie is heavily marketed at kids like my 8 year old but for some reason Hollywood has to find a way to add a high level of inuendo throughout the film. The one plot line had a scantily clad girl thrown in that didn't progress the movie in any way and in fact opened up a major plot hole. This movie would have sold millions of tickets without it. I will not be taking my son to see this film and I caution all parents of children similar in age to preview it prior to allowing them to go. Wake up Hollywood, there is a way to tell a great story, without adding unnecessary garbage, especially in a movie marketed at children.

I saw what the critics said about this movie and how it was a poor excuse for a sequel. I beg to differ! I thought it was better than the first one and it was filled with action. It was nonstop from the beginning and it was 2 1/2 hours long! I will be seeing it a few more times in the theatre. Whoever these "critics" are, have no idea what they are talking about.

I went into this movie expecting something a little more dramatic, but really it's just a big, awesome, fun movie. It doesn't take itself seriously most of the time, which is great because the concepts in the movie are ridiculous.
Some parts dragged on a little, they could have easily split this up into two movies to explain some of the random technologies and subplots that were thrown in.
The fighting sequences were jaw-dropping and breathtaking, though. I found myself leaning forward in my seat during some of the robot scenes. It was visually spectacular.
I'll have to see it again to just enjoy the fun and I'm sure I'll like it more the 2nd time around.

This is one of the few sequals that out shine the original. The new autobots were great and Optimus Prime finally fought like the leader of the autobots, unlike the first where he was thoroughly dominated by Megatron. This was a great movie, but I think it should have been rated R- There was explicit intimacy content, cursing throughout the whole movie and drug reference. This is not appropriate for children under the age of 13. Even 13 is questionable.
