Well, I was hoping this would be as good as the first, but was disappointed. Seemed like a non-stop robot war (most at a pace too fast to even see what was happening.) All the principal humans involved barely got a scratch for all their troubles. The twin robots were annoying and the whole thing came off as rather juvenille, which I suppose it is. If you have a good home theater, just wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray

Transformers was an amazing movie! There was a ton of action and it was hilarious! Everyone was laughing, gasping, and freaking out in unison both times that I have seen it in theater. I would definitely say that this one was 10x better than the 1st and that's saying something because I LOVED the 1st one too! WATCH IT!!!! IT'S AMAZING!!!!! It is my all-time favorite movie!

Overall the flick was as to be expected, great effects a couple of great tongue and cheek moments. Wonderful effects and fantastic action. However, all that being said they should have cut at least 30 minutes of fight scenes I actually found myself yawning at the end. 2.5 hours is just way to long to be trapped in a theater seat. I recommend this movie to friends but on a high def television in the comfort of their home where they can hit pause to take care of any need that calls.

I think the movie was fantastic! The action scenes were better than the first one. Some of the reviews I have read is due to people not having a sense of humor. The "one line scenes" were very humorous. I highly recommend this movie and I will buy it when it comes out.

The movie was good overall but not great. I believe the writers were trying to cram too much "story" in this movie. The story line was choppy and it felt as though some of the scenes were forced. A lot of details were way off from the original comic books as well as the cartoons. Wished for more but got much less. As another review said, I also bought the 1st dvd but will not be buying this one.

It was better than the first movie. I like how they introduced Ironside and the finally made Optimus the kick as leader he should of been portrayed in the 1st movie, but the twin robots were just plain stupid. Megan Fox is not needed and really only serves the purpose of looking pretty which really doesn't fit and while she's hot, it gets annoying. That's beeing said it's a teen flick so I get it. I don't think it's the worst movie out, however I'm tired of Michael Bay's gimic stupid humor movies.

This is hands down the best action movie I have seen in a long time. I liked this over Terminator Salvation! This is a straight up action movie which was all I expected going in to see it. However I was pleasantly surprised with the banter between characters. Shia is a wonderfully witty actor! The original cast is in this movie with a few hilariously funny new characters (Sam's college roomate). WARNING: The language in this film is not for young children! I recommend parents screening this movie if they are concerned with vulgar language. The language was way worse than the first film. The story line gets deeper in this film, and I thought it was better than the first Transformers.

The one-liners in this movie, along with the cheesy provocative innuendo forced into almost all of the scenes, really made the good story, and great action sequences, less than satisfying. The second of more movies to come I hope is by far one of the best sequels to have come out. The story line introduces new autobots and more decepticons> Lots of fighting and great emotions that range from high intense action to connections between family, friends, and brothers in war. This movie was a very good sequel to a strong film. The action was much better in this one, with the camera being farther out during action sequences as to better see the fights. the first one suffered from having the camera be much to close to the robots, and the fights were very confusing. this one addresses that issue well. there are two complaints i had with the movie. One was it's runtime. it was just barely too long for me, and one part in particular near the end seemed to drag on for far too long. My second and last problem with it was the profanity. i'm 18, so i enjoyed the pg-13-ness of the movie, but many viewers of this movie will be younger children. be forewarned, this movie is much more PG-13 this time around

The movie was good.
Some of the language was a little graphic and suggestive sexuality made me cringe having my 12 and 13 year old daughters hear and see it.
But it is rated PG-13 so I'm not complaining but parents should be warned. It is not just robots fighting.
My girls enjoyed it and it's funny...silly parts which were just enough to balance fun and the serious themes of the movie like good vs. evil, friendship, family, love, duty, responsibility, freewill, etc.

I loved Transformers, and got a big group of friends together to see TROTF. Here's the recipe the film makers used: Take the first movie, remove the compelling plot, add more close-up robot fighting and characters than the director can keep track of, season with cheap jokes and hokey personalities, pack it into 2.5 hours, serve it in A.D.H.D.-o-vision, and drench with Baywatch sexuality. TROTF dazzles the senses and leaves you wanting. It will make scads of money and spawn another sequel or two, but doesn't earn my respect or any more of my money.

This movie was out of this world. I agree with Previous post. You may have to see it twice to get all of it. Better than the first. "The Twins" where incredibly funny. The homage to 9-11 was outstanding.And the interaction between father and son was a great touch.

Great addition to the transformers series, however not quite 5 stars. The plot does shift a little too much and there isnt much focus on the new autobots. Some people are making a big deal about the twin autobots saying its racist and that they are "ghetto" the point is they add a good source of humor to the film. I would not recomend this film for most young children as they will be exposed to some mature profanity and s-xual content, however most kids don't even understand half of the adult jokes. Overall if you liked the first movie along with action movies, and want to get in a few laughs I would strongly recomend seeing this movie while its still in theaters.
