I loved it!!!! The first "Transformers" was my lifetime number one movie, and now this one ranks at the top with it. One could say the number of battles were excessive, but the details of the CG's....the imagination and creativity involved.....all are truly amazing! The humor was great and the battles were intense. Which-ever "Critic" said this movie would only appeal to teenage boys was ......WRONG!!! I'm a 54 year old woman who can't wait until the third one is released.

Michael Bay proves that he is the king of explosions, noise, light, CGI robots and robot fights! He really is good. We can see the moolah spent on this movie right there on the screen! Loved the first 90 minutes for what it was - the ultimate summer popcorn action flick. This movie will bring out the "geeky teenage boy" in all of us! The problem is in the last 60 minutes. The robot fighting, bombs and noise in the third act are like trying to sip water from a fire hose....or eat a 3 layer chocolate cake w chocolate ice cream smothered in hot fudge....or win the hot dog eating contest at the state fair. It is simply "numbing". You are so sensory overloaded you stop caring for the story. Worth seeing on the big screen.

I was fully expecting to see amazing FX as the last movie. The one thing missing in this one was some depth of characters. Maybe more human than machine. I understand the movie is more about visual FX eye candy and pure visual strength but this movie seemed to lack something. (I was glad to see less of Megan Fox in this one).

ROTF is a very simple film to explain. A helpful equation:
Awesomeness of scene = Robot Screen Time/Human Screen Time
Accordingly, for every minute the robots are on screen only, awesomeness approaches infinity. For every minute no robots are on screen, awesomeness approaches zero. Because seriously? Each and every screen writer responsible for the travesty of that dialogue owes me $10. Real people do not talk so frenetically and inanely!!!

Am I allowed to give it a 6 out of 5? I loved this movie, same with the first. I saw it the very very first day in theaters (impressive for me), and I cannot STOP talking about it. The action was great, some people say it was predictable but I disagree. It was hard to follow at some points but that could have been because I was sitting front row and could barely hear myself thinking, in a good way =) overall, I would recommend this to anyone who liked the first movie or even didn't like it as much. I thought the movie was amazing. Not much more to say, great acting, the cast was perfect, I really loved this movie. If you haven't seen it, go. Right now, bye =)

Loud, raucous, confusing, disjointed plot but funnier than I thought it would be. The actors who played Sam's parents stole the show. I took it for what it was, a major blockbuster popcorn movie with little depth and a lot of explosions.

I loved the first movie and the second one was just as good. It wasn't too long for me though some may have thought it was. I didn't appreciate the stereotypical 'twin' autobots, but it didn't put a damper on the overall experience.

Loved the first one and the second movie is great too! ok... I'll admit that there were some corny parts and one particularly gross part (Dont want to spoil!! Just know the gross sceen ...well, I just couldn't watch it without covering my mouth and nose) BUT it was still fantastic! I want to go back and watch it again. Also- props to Linkin Park! Loved the soundtrack!

This movie blew me away. The screenplay was much better then the first movie because they didn't have to build the story. The action was tremendous and the creativity in the story line was like a combination of the First Transformers movie, an Indiana Jones Film, and the Terminator 3 movie - Rise of the Machines. It incorporated a large amount of special effects from all three movie lines yet still allowed for the one two punch of comedy and action.

LOVED this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took my young kids with me they loved it, as we did with the first Transformer. Funny, funny, funny, kept me at the edge of my seat. Lots of laugh for all ages and more than enough excitement to go around. We did not think the movie was too long. Too many non-stop actions to think about time. Just be sure not to drink too much liquid. I made it clear to my kids NOT to drink at all. Cause I'm not getting up for potty breaks. So they sipped their Icees. BTW we are heading back next weekend to see it AGAIN on the big screen, cause our TV at home is 25 years old!!!!

The story was sooo predictable. Over-the-top potty mouth. Definitely not for younger kids. The action was good but then it went on FOREVER at the end. They could have cut it in half and still would have been too much. And who really believes all the girls want Sam? Hollywood is grasping for straws, what a shame! Unbelievable!

We took our sons to see this movie since they loved the first one. It was good, although the language and some content definitely warranted an "R" rating and not PG-13. We were disappointed because the bad language didn't add anything to the movie and was really uneccessary. What is Hollywood thinking? I have warned all of my friends with kids about this one.

We watched the movie in the only all digital theater in Tucson, AZ. We both noticed right away the huge difference in picture clarity. There have been some so called movie critics dissing the movie plot and action sequences. They are not accurate at all. Remember this is a science fiction movie with awesome action! What exactly is supposed to be happening that is different/better than what Michael Bay created this time? We cannot find a thing to change.

I'm not sure why some people didn't enjoy this movie, besides the length. I really enjoyed it and laughed throughout the movie. Some people might view the twins as being stereotypes, but speaking as a black person, I wasn't offended at all. If anything I viewed them moreso as wannabe gansters than necessarily being black. There are many white kids and black kids that are trying to act hood when they're really not. That's what made the characters funny to me. Either way it goes, I would definitely see this movie again. Maybe because I love seeing Shia Lebouf. I remember seeing him on disney channel on Even Stevens :)

we went to see transformers at the imax in Detroit. it is the biggest imax theater in Michigan. the movie was dragged out. the movie was way to focused on the "twins" in the movie 2 very immature "black-focused" characters. they were ghetto 24/7 and weren't funny at all. the movie was horrible. the first one was the best. i had a HUGE hipe for this movie, but it disappointed me greatly. and most of all how this movie happened was not near to how the accuitly "jet fire" was. it made me mad, just how Micheal bay made jet fire a old weak man. in the cartoons he was a young auto-bot that was strong and powerful and 2nd in command of the autobots.

I thought the first Transformers movie was decent, aside from Shia LaBeouf's acting, but this movie was dissapointing, in all aspects. The fight scences looked like giant blobs of black on the screen and the dialouge left something to be desired. I like crude jokes and s-xual innuendos as much as the next college student, but it came at times where it did not fit and did not help the jumbled mess of a plot at all. The ending was EXTREMELY anti-climactic and uneventful. The only thing good about the movie was that Megan Fox was gorgeous, but I feel I spent $10 to look at her and be convinced to buy a new vehicle. It is not a 1 star because I did enjoy the movie at times. Am I going to buy it on DVD? No. Do I recommend this movie? No.

This movie really takes CGI to the next level by providing the viewer not only with snippets of robots and robots transforming, but with wide complete views of the total transformation process and umlimited robot action. from beginning to the end you are treated to a technological wonder. Finally movie houses can justify the 9.50 to 15.00 they charge for a movie, this particular movie gives you your money's worth and a giant bang for your buck. go see it and it's worth seeing it again.

Lots of robots, explosions, and hotties Megan and Shia. The parents are back for some comic relief...especially enjoyed Mom getting stoned off a pot brownie. It won't challenge your mind but you will be well entertained!

Ok...i agree the special effects were spetacular but that's about it. If you happen to be a immature, acne-filled, still living with your mother past the age of 25, video game junky who happens to have ADD...you'd definately like the movie.
I'd like to thank the writers of this film for giving my child a new profane, ebonic vocabulary (thanks to those Twin robots). It's every parent's dream to have their child speak like SnoopDogg. Bravo writers and producers for creating, yet again, a multi-million dollar piece of garbage and a colossal waste of time.

I am glad that once again the critics were wrong!
I have no idea what movie they went to see but it had the right amount of everything in the movie. They said that the human characters played a very small role in the movie. I think they had the right amount of scenes and were throughout the whole movie. I could have done without the two stupid autobots (ice cream truck)~they were slapstick for kiddies but the language was over the top for a child.
