Saw with my 9 year old. Had a deep "life lesson" meaning. Was hoping the movie would be more about the family, kids growing up, etc....but was more of a "be happy with the life you have" movie. Was a good movie, but didn't really bring closure to Shrek and Fiona's life like I had hoped. Definitely worth seeing though! If I had been prepared for the storyline, I would have enjoyed more.

Before I went 2 people told me they heard it got bad reviews. So, I sat through the movie watching to see what anyone could have found objectionable. But, I couldn't figure out why anyone wouldn't like it. The 5 stars I gave it is comparing it to the other 3 Shrek movies. Out of all the Shreks, I liked this one the best.

I took my 5 year old son who has loved all of the Shrek movies. We saw it in 3D. It wasn't all that with the 3D effects and wasn't worth the extra $$. The movie line was a little mature. I didn't nor did my son find it as funny as the first 3. I am not chomping at the bit to see it again or anything.

My son and I agree that this was not the best Shrek movie (number 3 was the best) but it had its moments. I would not recommend that you spend the extra money to see it in 3-D. There are really no great 3-D effects. The adult humor and writing is witty and funny as in all Shrek movies.
