I took my 5 year old son who has loved all of the Shrek movies. We saw it in 3D. It wasn't all that with the 3D effects and wasn't worth the extra $$. The movie line was a little mature. I didn't nor did my son find it as funny as the first 3. I am not chomping at the bit to see it again or anything.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
