We took 7 boys and 3 adults to this movie on Saturday night for our son's 10th birthday. It was not in 3D where we saw it, however, it was very good even without 3D. We all had a great time. Very entertaining for ALL ages. We definitely recommend this fun movie.

I thought this was a kids cartoon and to an extent it was but the adults including my wife and I liked it just fine. The story line of the geeky scientist and the things he invented along the way, and those that went awry provided humor and a sense of "anyone can be better." The story really picks up speed and you find yourself siding with the scientist and a weather intern who the geek scientist winds up winning. All in all this is a good story, a good film, and worth taking th trip to the theatre where life happens and people still learn from some of what is shown.

My husband and I went to see this movie with our 11, 6, and 4 year old children. It was an excellent movie that taught a lesson on the importance of son's need to have their father's love and approval. The special effects where great and the movie was very funny as well. I would recommend other parents to take their children. It was a fun movie for all ages.

I went to see this movie with my 11 year old son expecting to see a "kid" movie and kinda having to sit through it for his entertainment. Boy, was I wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie as much as he did and laughed the whole time. I would definately recomment it to adults and children alike.

This looks like an early rough cut of a Pixar film, though Pixar would never put into production a script this weak. Even at only 70 minutes the premise of the kid's book is stretched thin. The jokes and gags are only so so and the character animation is not very imaginative. Our theater did not show 3D even though this is how it was advertised! 3D would have made it better I'm sure. Not good, but better.

It’s been awhile since our whole family enjoyed a movie. We took our 8 and 6 year olds and they loved it. There was nothing inappropriate for our children and no political statements or messages tied into it. It was just a good fun movie with amazing 3D.

This is my daughter's and my favorite children's book of all time so we were excited that it was made into a movie. I thought the adaptation was creative, it was funny, and even my 12-year old daughter who is very picky loved it. We really enjoyed this movie and are considering buying it on DVD.

Having not read the book, I went in not expecting to be disappointed. Boy was I wrong. Really silly storyline and a bit preachy. That said, my five year old and his friend thought it was AWESOME. I can't say that this is one that we'll buy when it comes out on DVD because I can't bear the thought of sitting through this again.

I took two 11 year olds to this movie, we loved it. The adults enjoyed the humor as well, and the animation was awesome to watch. EXCELLENT story! PG rating says 'brief mild language' and my 11 year old is a big stickler for this (as am I), but afterwards, we realized we didn't remember even ONE instance of language. AWESOME for families, thanks Sony pictures!

The technical excellence of the 3D and IMAX is worth seeing if you are into that. The animation is well done and doesn't dwell lovingly on whatever the latest rendering tricks are.
One thing that is really nice is that unlike most recent offerings, this movie doesn't pound you over the head incessantly with some morality lesson that is of questionable truth. The underlying story is a bit of "humans shouldn't play with nature" but it's done in a fairly fun and over-the-top way, and the two protagonists are the scientists. The moral lesson turns out to be "nerds are fun people too", which isn't a bad one.

Leave it to a cartoon to make a grown man living in a treehouse in his Dad's backyard a little less creepy than it might have been. Whenever Steve the Monkey 'shouted' out "Steve!" I simultaneously thought of the movies "Multiplicity" and "Up." Mr. T deserves a significant award for his portrayal of Earl Deveraux -- maybe a Kid's Choice Award for favorite voice from an animated movie. He presence changes this movie from good to great. I think I laughed the hardest when Steve was throwing chocolate ice cream balls.
I don't know why this movie was relegated to the September throwaway releases. It's a great film!

Wow! This movie was so much better than what I expected! It had a great story, off-the-wall characters, and lots of action! Not to mention the awesome 3-D!
I hadn't seen a 3-D movie in years! And as soon as I put my glasses on, the movie just jumped off the screen!
Cloudy With A Chance...was also more racially diverse than most Disney/ Pixar films without compromising anything.
I mean, this movie even had the late great Mr.T doing a voice! For someone who use to watch the A-Team, that totally thrilled me!
And as a fellow geek/ nerd, it was nice to see a goofy inventor as the hero of the story. His relationship with his father was really touching too.
Treat yourself to one DELICIOUS movie! You'll be glad you did!

Hands down funniest/cutest movie of the year. Great characters and witty story will keep a smile on your face the whole time. Thats when your not crying laughing. I went into this movie expecting an alright flick. Boy i was suprised.

Myself and a friend took 10 5th grade girls and we all laughed continuously. The 3-D effects were the best I have seen. I liked the underlying moral between the father and the son. Parents should all let their kids know how proud we are of them no matter the talent.

My boyfriend and I saw this movie and we both loved it! We laughed so hard, and out loud. Most animated movies these days haven't been too great but this one is a riot, funny for kids and adults both. You have to see it!

This wasn't the best kids/family movie that I've ever seen, but I have to say there is some good to it. I was trying to tell my 6 year old daughter after watching the movie, the meaning of morals, in terms of "the moral of the story". I thought there was something good to be learned. The moral of the story was how something that starts out fun and kind of harmless and good can end up being a bad , destructive thing, especially when greed gets in the way. There other good things too, but that was the main theme I thought. Could do without the use of some mild language in a family movie, so hard to find these days :(
