We love you Harry Potter!

My teenage daughter and I have been huge Harry Potter fans for many years and have spent the months since we saw Part 1 anxiously awaiting Part 2--and we were wonderfully surprised! We went to the midnight showing in 3D in a packed theater that showed Harry Potter on every one of its screens and loved every minute of it! While I will say I would have liked to see maybe a little more concerning the death of some of Harry's friends, as they were a huge part of who he was, I was pleased with the way the series was brought to a close and that this movie stayed with the book and brought everything home. Making it even more exciting was sitting with almost 400 people, laughing, cheering, and crying as we watched our favorite hero finally all grown up. The cool Harry Potter 3D glasses shaped like the ones Harry wears were a major plus! It was a gratifying end to the series--and an era. :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My 13 year old daughter and I have been looking forward to seeing the first installment of the Deathly Hallows since we were walking out of the theater after Half-Blood Prince (I even let her skip school to go to the first afternoon showing!) and we were not disappointed! I had just finished reading the book right before we went to see the movie and yes, there were parts switched around and I think Hedwig, Dobby and Mad-Eye deserved just a little more focus on their deaths, but all in all, we walked out of the theater ready to walk back in for the second part! My daughter has read the Harry Potter series at least 7 times and knew what was coming, but was already crying 10 mins before Dobby died! I think any Harry Potter fan is going to walk out of the theater loving this movie and wishing part 2 was done NOW!! We love you Harry Potter!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I took my teenage daughter and her friend to see Toy Story 3 and not one of us left the theater with a dry eye. The range of emotions I felt through the hour and 49 minutes were incredible and I just wanted more and more. We LOVED this movie as much as all the other Toy Story movies and I am so sad to see them go! Woody, Buzz, Andy, and all their friends will live on forever for us!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is my daughter's and my favorite children's book of all time so we were excited that it was made into a movie. I thought the adaptation was creative, it was funny, and even my 12-year old daughter who is very picky loved it. We really enjoyed this movie and are considering buying it on DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What a surprise!

I have to say that I was skeptical about how the Half-Blood Prince would turn out, considering I was a little upset about Order of the Phoenix, but I was pleasantly surprised! I think the storyline was followed better this time around, although there were some things left out or changed, but for the most part, the movie was accurate. I really liked that they focused on the fact that Harry, Hermione, and Ron are, first and foremost, teenagers. There was darkness, there was love, and there were a lot of funny parts...and I even found myself sniffling at the end, even though I knew what was coming. I was pretty impressed with Half-Blood Prince and would recommend anyone see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
