I liked the movie but I did not love it. The special effects were good as well as some of the action scenes. I did not like the editing of this movie- some of the scenes were not well developed and did not connect with the theme of the movie. I felt at times the acting dialog did not flow as in other Indy movies. They really should have picked another actor for supporting role, Shia LaBeouf- he was terrible.
I really feel Spielberg and Lucas could have done a better job of presenting this movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

We really enjoyed this movie. I LOVED all the references to the first three movies. This was fun and classic Indiana Jones. For those of us who have loved these movies from the start, it was an excellent addition to the series.

I’m a major fan of the old Indie J films and I was looking forward to see Ford back on the screen. What a disappointment! This movie was highly predictable and dull. Ford looked tired throughout the entire picture. The acting was awful…it lacked energy and it was unconvincing. The CG element was pathetic.

You have to see it, but it did not have enough of the expected witty banter between Harrison, Karen, and Shiloh. Also, it just never reached a point where I bought into it. Great fights, great stunts, and beautiful scenery; but it did not work for me.

I liked it alot...it was like a long lost family member coming home...however...some of the, stunts were over the top, almost if they were trying too hard. Yes its an Action adventure film, but dont make it so far fetched stunt wise that people go, really? come on!
A few of the scenes seemed to be stolen from other flicks...(ant hill ..think scarabs in the mummy) overall I felt it was a bit sci-fi and less on the adventure side...but I still liked it alot.

As a lifelong Indy fan I did my best to go into this movie with low expectations. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. All the best elements of its predecessors were there. The chases were exciting, the villains were delightfully evil, Marion Ravenwood was awesome - so good to have her back and see loose ends tied up. I even enjoyed the Mutt Williams arc and surprisingly enough came to really like his character. I think many things came full circle with this film. There was one plot element I didn't really like, but it was so closely tied to the era that I completely understand including it. All in all, a great film! I'm glad they made it.

I loved it! It was great to see the Harrison Ford, & Karen Black back together again! This movie is along the lines of all the other Indy movies - so if you expecting some extraordinary and different. Then don't go to see it! But if you are a die-hard Indy Fan like I am - then this is a must see! Plus if your from connecticut - Look for the scenes filmed at Yale -Just remember - be opened minded - you really didn't want them to change up Indy too much did ya????

The best thing about this installment was the character interaction. There was much more humor this time, and the familiarity of the main characters caused that portion of the plot line to flow nicely.
The action portion of plot line was a different story. To begin with, Indie's Communist adversary was not nearly as 'scary' as the threat of the Germans. With the Germans we really bought the threat of world domination. Not so much with the Irina Spalko. She didn't really sell the Red Threat.
Additionally, the actions scenes seemed rather forced and flat. Even the score was rather boring--though I don't blame Mr. Williams. He really didn't have much to work with.
George Lucas obviously had to stretch to get this script finished. Many loose ends were tied up, though, which makes it worthwhile. It also makes it clear that George needs to stop now.
I enjoyed the movie because it was Indiana Jones. I would recommend it to others because it is Indiana Jones. On the scale of Indie movies however, I rank it 4 out of 4.

Though it's been years since the last Jones Film, reports told us that Lucas, Spielberg, and Ford set out to recreate the same look and feel the others had.
It was an ok movie overall. I was worried about the mixed reviews it was receiving but was surprised with it. From the get go, it gives the impression that it was the same man but in a different time. Jones was trying to be what he used to be, but now in the Cold War and against larger and more determined enemies.
Though there were points that seemed a bit predictable or others that were filled with computer generated effects, the movie's overall appeal is there and is worth seeing at least once.

Since I was a teen when I saw the first movies, it was great to get back to it. The chase and fight scenes were just like I remember. The search scenes were not as suspensful and a little quick and contrived, but still good. It was great to have Karen Allen back, just as feisty. And LaBeouf did a great job. It was the subject matter that bothered me. The Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail... this just wasn't the same. Very disappointing.

GO SEE THIS FLICK! This movie is pure INDY with all the physical comedy and banter from the ususal suspects while tackling the issue of 50's McCarthyism and the cold war against Russia mixing in a little Roswell. Whodathunkit? George freaking Lucas, thats who. From the opening scene...it is pure 50's nostagia with the looks and the music. Mutt is the perfect sidekick with a big surprise. Cate Blanchett as the Ruskee is Brilliant! And Indy...looking nonetheless for wear is up to his old tricks. I for one loved it, my 10 yr old loved it and he saw the first three films at the age of 8 and thinks Indy is the coolest thing since ice hockey! A Fun Family Film that is a great escape. FUN-FUN-FUN!

Even though Harrison Ford is getting a little long in the tooth, he still provides excitement & fun in his "Indy" movies. This is the best one yet, with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. And with a "son" added now, they may be able to keep the franchise going - he's as good as his dad!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a fitting addition to the Raiders series. I personally think it is better than Temple of Doom and on par with Last Crusade.
Harrison Ford does not miss a beat, he is one of the rare actors than can revisit a character years later and make it fit like a glove. There are tons of fun moments. The action is classic Indy.
There has been a lot of discussions on the chosen subject matter for Indy's latest adventure... its fantasy, like the arc and the holy grail... yet is still based on legends that have been passed down through generations.
It is great having another installment in theater after all these years. And it does not disappoint

The latest installment in the Indiana Jones catalog is a bit contrived and unrealistic to the point of being absurd. It seems as if the actors/writers were trying too hard to develop a plot worthy of the IJ tradition. What they ended up with was a poor attempt at the same action/adventure seen in the first three. The fourth movie pales in comparison but is still worth the price of a movie ticket to see at least once in the big theaters.

Having been waiting for this movie with great anticipation, we were sadly let down! So far fetched in the ridiculous antics and sorry special effects! Spielberg seems to have let Lucas take over as evident by the fact that Lucas could never care less about the reality of a good plot! The whole premise of the movie was so far from any of the history and realism of the other 3, which made them so real and exciting. It was like watching a cartoon and x-files combined. Wait for the dvd!

Being a huge fan of the original three movies, I started with high expectations. After reading some preliminary reviews, I went into the movie with the lowest possible expectations, which weren't even met. Besides a couple of really cool scenes, the movie will leave any true Indy fan disappointed. It just wasn't the same. I would still recommend seeing it if you are really into scifi.

Since the last Crusade in 1989 other franchises have copied the "Indy method", the movie has some plot flaws, but none which spoiled the movie. Hey, if we had German's in Egypt in the mid 1930’s, why not Commie’s at area 51 in the 1950's. The plot moved forward at a fast clip, after 15 minutes I whispered to my wife, "He's still got it" That summed up the movie, you suspend your disbelief at things that really are over the top, and just sit back and enjoy the ride, by the time it was over, I wanted more. No Oscar nominations, just really good fun. Let's hope Indy returns again.

We have waited all these years for this movie? The action was good, the dialogue lame and very cheesey as expected by an Indiana Jones, I expected and it was there, but thats not what disappoints me, The Plot is rediculous, George Lucas should not be allowed to write another movie after writting the 3 Star wars sequals and this piece of junk. I want a refund and a I recommend no one else see this movie...

I grew up watching Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I absolutely hated what George Lucas did to the Star Wars series with episodes 1-3 and it seems his waning talent has infected the Indiana Jones saga. Because of Star Wars I was extremely hesitant to see Indiana Jones and I was right to be. The beginning and end are horrible. I really think someone else wrote the middle because it was a totally different movie. The middle is true Indiana Jones and very entertaining. Steven Spielberg said he was worried about releasing this film--he should have followed his instincts. I also think it would have been better if someone else had written the story. The set design and CGI was just as bad as it was in Star Wars. Actually if you show up 15 minutes late and leave before the last 15 minutes of the movie you will probably enjoy the movie more. And you won't miss anything. Overall the film was ok. I wish I could say something better, but I can't.

I have been a huge Indiana Jones fan for pretty much my whole life! I was barely a year old when Raiders marched to theaters and by the time The Last Crusade hit, I was 10 years old and it was one of my favorite memories to see Indy in theaters during the summer of '89!
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this newest installment!
The movie has been in development for over a decade with multiple writers attached to the script. If this is what they all liked, how bad were all the rest?
The movie played out like a campy sci-fi flick from the '50's which is what Lucas said they were trying to achieve.
The previous movies always had farfetched ideas surrounding supernatural religious artifacts. The thing was within the universe of Indiana Jones, they worked! However, the central plot of Crystal Skull is so far over the top, it completely ruined the movie for me!
Watching the film, it just did not flow with the continuity of the other films. The cinematography, the action scenes, the dialogue! Also, CGI PRAIRIE DOGS AND MONKEYS!
I knew I was going to be disappointed because George Lucas cannot produce a good movie to save his life, at least not since 89!
Give it up George, don't bring Spielberg down with you, he can still make a good movie every once in a while!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
