I thought the fourth Indiana Jones was great. If you loved the first three you will love this one as well. There are a couple of goofy points but they do not ruin the movie. Over all I will be seeing this again and buying the DVD. Must see for Indiana Jones Fans.

Saw the new Indiana Jones for the SECOND time Saturday night and have to say I enjoyed it much more than the first. After waiting 19 years for the next installment of my favorite film series maybe I was too hard on it Opening Day. Watching it again, I was able to apprecioate how fast paced it was and inventive in its action sequences. Plus the dialogue is mostly brilliant and the acting is aboveboard for the most part. If you go expecting an Indiana Jones film you will not be disappointed. It has action, adventure and plenty of cheese. Harrison Ford gets better with age and the mix of new and old characters was nice since this is the introduction to a new generation of fans. I had a fun time with friends and the woman next to me said she thought I was going to fly out of my skin in the snake scene . . . why'd there have to be a snake?

The story line involving alien beings left alot to be desired. The temple in South America was the most realistic historical part of the movie. With the other Indy movies, there was just enough mysterious historical links to bring some believeability to the story...thats a big reason the first movies held us captive, and we wanted to watch them over and over. The blieveability factor is important even if we know it is a ficticious story. The Kingdom of the CrystalSkull "burried" that believebility as the Alien focus became apparent. Loosing the link to possible realism lost the the Indy fan in this movie.

Having grown up on Indiana Jones this installment does not disappoint. Harrison Ford is amazing as always and the special effects are out of this world. That being said, the storyline was a bit predictable and the alien premise a bit too complicated to follow for some of the younger audience members.

I almost walked out after 20 minutes because of blatant copying of the other IJ movies. Then it got me! Great action, fun story, great special effects and fun tying in the Nancy Allen character. The story made sense with the 60 year old IJ. Stallone couldn't have played it!

Over all good, "too much sci-fi, the Crystal Skull is too far fetched, aliens?" Come on, people. What about the immortal knights of The Holy Grail? The magic stones of The Temple Of Doom? The power of the ark in The Lost Ark? Oh, but aliens is too much, right? Don't forget that Indiana jones is an homage to the movies Lucas and Spielberg used to watch when they were kids. The difference is the quality of the production, but all in all it's the same thing. Besides, this movie closes some circles (Marion), let us know what happen to other characters (Dad), respects time line (Indy met Pancho Villa in the TV series) and respects the actors age ("what are you, 80?"). So I would say, just like the other IJ movies, it's not perfect, but it's fun and good.

I have been an Indiana Jones fan since I can remember. I was dissapointed in Crystal Skull. To many unbelievable special effects. Aliens?!? I know this is a myth that has been a roung for a while but the past Indi movies just seemed to be more real. I mean come on. Indi's son is flying through the jungle like my old pitfal Attari game. I just didn't think it was nearly as good as the previous Indiana Jones movies. I really wanted to like it. I just couldn't. I did however like the parts that were clearly Indi.

I really enjoyed Indy's latest adventure and do recommend this film. However, I must admit that this tale seemed relatively tame when compared with the first three - maybe a little too obeisant to the "politically correct" crowd. Remember, it was the first two Indiana Jones' films that caused an uproar in Hollywood and gave us our current ratings system. At that time, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Temple of Doom" were cutting-edge movies that took Indy (accompanied by the audience) into genuinely scary - sometimes horrifying - risks and venues. The "Crystal Skull", in my opinion, played it much too safe - don't want to offend the overly-sensitive or scare the kiddies too much, you know! Anyway, it was fun seeing Harrison Ford and Karen Allen back together. I was initially wary about Shia LaBeouf's addition but was pleased with and admired his performance. I appreciated the small references to Denholm Elliott and Sean Connery. And, my heart certainly skipped a couple beats when the Ark of the Covenant appeared! Now that I think about it, Spielberg and Lucas managed to add some reference or element from most, if not all, of their previous films into this movie... Hmmm. All in all, it was a good time - I just was hoping for a little more "danger"!

Loved this movie. Not a dull movie. Lots of thrilling action. Shia is is totally hot. Lots of fun stunts. Great, unexpected ending. First India Jones movie I ever saw and you don't need to see the other movies to understand what is happening in this film. I can't wait til I see it again. Lots of fun for the whole family but also some adult humor. Some suspensful moments but over all one of the best movies I have ever seen.

The title of this review says it all. While boasting pretty astounding special effect scenes, the storyline and character development were subpar. The wit and one liners of the previous installments were forced and not really funny. The supernatural and mystical forces that were present in all of the previous films added to their appeal. In this one, it achieved the opposite, which is a shame.

After 20 years this addition to the Indiana Jones legacy was well worth the wait. It was like there was no gap between sequels. This movie was filled with just as much fun and excitement as all of the Indian Jones movies. Well worth going back and seeing again.

It was full of action but I thought it was a bit too long. Some parts were a bit far fetched but afterall it is fictional. I really am somewhat perplexed about the ending as well. Not sure if that was a takeoff or what! Overall though I thought it was worth seeing

Good Indiana Jones-style movie. The action was awesome, all the way through. The plot, while a little out there, was pretty darn good. Shia LaBeouf was actually pretty good, and fit in very well. All in all, a very good addition to the Indy family, and I recommend it highly.
