Finally, Indy's back. This one has it all action, comic interaction and sensational special effects. It is way past time to bring all these talented people back to the table. Maybe the plot is a bit out there for true Indy fans but I tried not to get to picky and technical, like the magnet not sticking to the cars, etc and just sat there and enjoyed the movie!! Harrison was wonderful. He is Indiana Jones from the top of his very cool hat to the tip his old brown shoes. I truly liked the fact that he showed us even Super Heros get old. He let us see the winkles and the gray hair. He pulled it off in true Indiana style. I have to tell you, if you are a real Jones fan, you will enjoy this one. Just remember it's a movie, a Lucas Speilberg Ford movie. You are being entertained by "The Best". So sit back relax and enjoy two hours of pure Indiana fun!
P.S. If you can, go see this one in a new digital movie theatre. The sound and the picture are simply amazing!

This movie takes Indiana Jones into the 1950s, in both form and content. I loved it, and already saw it twice. Anyone complaining about how plausible it is should check their heads: how much of what happens in ANY of the other three is particularly plausible? Does the Ark of the Covenant melt faces? Can death cults turn you into a zombie by forcing you to drink blood? Can knights from the Crusades live for centuries guarding a mystical cup of eternal life? I mean, you might THINK so, but logically it's not MORE plausible than what happens in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Go back and watching the other movies and then watch this one. It's, guess what, remarkably similar. I'd rather watch this one that Temple of Doom.

What can I say without ruining the movie? Well, its not bad but its not great either. Acting was pretty good but it felt like Harrison was a bit out of place after so many years. Story was good throughout except for in a few spots it seemed like they were trying to up the ante with the action sequences and went with the ridiculous hoping no one would notice. Music was good as always. Special effects were top notch with ILM on board. All in all it was enjoyable but it wasn't the Indy I was hoping for after such a long hiatus and time in production.

This movie was excellent and stayed very true to the series! Very good time and era story and effects. Can't say it was better than any of the other Indies, but its was as good as all of them, and I love them all! Very good ending. Kudos to Lucas and Spielberg. Definitely a must see!

I agree with the first review about it being far fetched. BUT, it was an Indiana Movie and I would go no matter what. All in all, I loved it . The second time was even better. This was NOT put together in five minutes. I want more, more, more. Harrison is never too old. He came back with a bang. I will definitely get the four movies when they come out as a box set on DVD.

Indy was worth the money. Fast paced, funny, but a little uneven. Harrison Ford was "reliable" in the role. Supporting cast was also steady. Pic almost took on a "Star Wars" meets "Boris and Natashia" feel. Nothing noteworthy cinematically, but worth the price of admission. I recommend this family rated movie to every one. Don't wait until DVD because one will not get full adventure effect.

This was a great movie. Harrison Ford still has it as Indy. The bickering between Maryann and Indy was reminiscent of Raiders the Lost Ark. Shia LaBeouf was also great in this movie. He fit in great with Harrison Ford.

What a crushing disappointment. Spioelberg and Lucas team up and only their weaknesses come to the table. The plot is inane in some places and indecipherable in others. The 'surprises' are telegraphed a mile away, and actresses of decent caliber like Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen look lost and confused in this genre bent fiasco. I have loved the others in this series and rewatched them all in anticpation of this installment. Ouch.

I grew up loving Indy. I would argue with my friends about what order the movies should be in from best to worst, knowing that the "worst" was still a great movie. I always thought that these movies are what movies should be.
This movie, "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," is not an Indy movie. I'm not sure what it is. There were scenes that left my jaw open - not in amazement, just in shock of their lack of believability. When my friends and I saw "The Mummy" we went in jokingly calling it "Indiana Schmo." Little did we know that it was more an Indy movie than the next one to come out.
Monkeys? Different dimensions? Unexplained wall people? What is this movie? The ending is a mix of all Indy movies to date, just not done as well.

The movie was action packed and definitely held your interest....until the whole alien thing kicked. Being a "HUGE" Indy fan, I was buying into the theme and having a great time, as stretched as the plot may have been. And then we get to the final scene. An hour and fifty minutes of build up only to be lost on Aliens!!!! This isn't ET....it's Indy. Indy is about artifacts. However, I would see it again to feed the 20 year craving for another Jones adventure.

I enjoyed the new IJ movie, because I'm a big Harrison Ford fan. Shia and Karen were also very good. I thought, however, the movie was a little heavy in the special-effect area, and lacking in character development and plot. The whole "alien" theory at the end was a bit too odd for my taste. I was glad to see Indie and Marion get married at the end though. Overall I enjoyed it, but believe the first movie will always be my favorite.

Steven Spielberg's attempt to re-create the action serials of his childhood continue. This film is all that it is cracked up to be. It has a great plot line, wonderful actors and some of the most beautiful locations in the world. All together this mixes up to be one fun filled romp around the world with Indy. This movie was entertaining. The music and effects were spot on, and action is action. However, it was not Indiana Jones as we know and love him. The story was so out there that you could never accept it as plausible fiction. The references to the older Indiana movies were too blatant, and will someone explain to me why Indiana was as spruce as a young Jackie Chan?

Very disappointing! Definitely did not live up to all the hype I've seen on TV. The plot was very confusing and very hard to follow. And without knowing who wrote it, by the ending you can definitely guess its a George Lucas film. Indiana Jones and ALIENS???? What the heck? I thought he was an archeologist?!?!? Sorry Harrison Ford, bad move on your part if this was to be your comeback movie!

I, like Harrison Ford and these plots, am getting old.. The movie is much like the previous, even with the added predicable twist of son he did not know he had. It was a fun family movie. They just had to insert the anti-communist era political statement - "things have changed" with IKE as president. Typical lefty Hollywood statement they like to jam down our throats. Also, always a treat to see Karen Allen's big smile. Certainly not a blockbuster, but I would recommend it.

Typical to the Indie films, this fourth one was filled with action, humor, and heroic moments you could cheer for. Overall, I was disappointed by how much CG (obviously) was relied on for action sequences (ie: Mutt flying on vines with monkeys? Come on - it was so obviously all CG and his character wouldn't have so easily picked up swinging like Tarzan). The alien solution seemed both an easy answer to the how/why question, and a far-fetched way to end it. Indiana Jones has always solved mythical theories, but he also made everything he did look plausible. Not this time.

From all the reviews I had read I thought the movie was going to be a dud. BIG MISTAKE!!! It was a fantastic story line and great acting by the whole cast. I enjoyed the movie from begining to end. Can't wait for it to come to cable so I can watch it again.
