I saw Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on its release day, and have been humming the theme ever since. Who would have thought that so many years after the original I would be so happy to catch up with old friends that I had forgotten to miss. Those who are criticizing the movie because it requires a suspension of reality have obviously forgotten the Indys that proceeded this one. And, Karen Allen's return helps to make the movie. Her chemistry with Harrison Ford is perfect. This movie is like the world's best coaster ride -- so full of twists and turns that, when its over, it leaves you wanting to ride again. George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg have given Indiana Jones fans a delightful gift!

took my kids and they loved it, Me on the other hand, I was expecting a little more. I liked that they pulled in the twist of the old romance and brought in hopefully Shia to be the new Indy in new films, with better stories. But I thought the aliens were a bit of a stretch, and that he figured things out a little quick and seemed to get in caught to easy to have to figure the clues out. other than some of those quirks, it was a very enjoyable action packed, humerous movie that is nice way to end a week of work.

Overall, a good and fun movie. They did exactly what I was worried about with the computer graphics though, made the movie a little too cartoonish. You also have to suspend your disbelief throughout the movie, granted this is the same for all of the Indy movies. Still love the series though.

it was very repetitious. How many waterfalls can you go down & survive? Super human abilities very evident throughout all scenes. I do like action movies especially when the special effects are believeable. I hope the sequel is an improvement.

One word: aliens. Seriously? With a great cast and the original creators on board for this sequel, the best writing they could come up with involves aliens?! That is totally not true to the rest of the Indy films. I loved it until the last twenty minutes then I just rolled my eyes and thought, "What a let down." Also, it seemed like they are trying to set it up for Shia LeBeouf to be the "new" Indiana Jones. I hope that isn't the case because no one could ever replace Harrison Ford.

I'm usually fairly critical of movies. They're just too bleepin' EXPENSIVE to go see on a whim nowadays. If a movie is sub-par, I feel cheated out of some hard-earned dosh. That said, I went into this movie expecting nothing but a reunion with some old friends. And that's pretty much what I got. It was formulaic, adventurous and completely cringe-inducing in some moments. But if you grew up loving Indiana Jones as I did, the moment you see the silhouette of Ford in the Hat, well.... you can't help but feel nostalgic and grateful that Spielberg and crew got together for one more hurrah. It won't be on the big screen forever and this is likely the last Indy movie. Despite the less-than-stellar script, you'll end up being disappointed if you don't suck it up and go see our man on the big screen.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is fun, exciting, and well worth the ticket price but comes up a little short in the story department. The entire first three quarters of the film are just about as perfect as you can imagine but the last quarter falls flat. A quest involving the return of a skull to a Mayan temple loses whatever sense of danger it might have had due to overuse of CGI. Trips over giant waterfalls, self-destructing temples and CGI created beings causes one's willingness to suspend disbelief to be sorely tested. The cast is terrific with the one exception being Karen Allen. She is good considering the part written for her is pretty dull in comparison to her incredible turn in Raiders of the Lost ark. Some high points: The opening Paramount logo followed by a speeding fifties hotrod harrasing an Army convoy while Elvis blasts from the soundtrack, Indy's battle to escape Russians in a warehouse at Area 51, a motorcycle and car chase through the quad at Yale University, an incredible convoy road battle just before the movie lapses into utter silliness.

Many are bad-mouthing this movie. Saying that it is unthinkable that this came from a Spielberg film. They say it is too corny. Well obviously they have not seen an Indiana Jones movie. While it is not the greastest movie ever made, it is still one that many will enjoy. In response to the alien comment below, it fits in with the mythology of the crystal skulls in real life. According to mayan legend, they recieved these skulls from their so called "sky gods" which scientists interpret to be aliens.

We loved this movie. Went to see it as a family. My 6 year old did move his eyes away from the screen. There are just a few bad words in the film. I did not care for the alien thing but this is certainly in keeping with movies of the 1950s which were all about "space." I hope they make #5!!!! Harrison Ford just gets better and better.

I believe moves should be fun, and this one fits the bill. Indiana Jones is still Indiana Jones. It has all the rides of a roller coaster! I really liked the end and how it let you believe that we are not done with the Jones family! Steven Spielberg does not disappoint!! Kate Blanchett is totally believable in her role as a Russian Comrade, except for the fact that she had a little trouble rolling her "r"s. That being said, I was amazed at Harrison Ford and his ability to step up to the plate in a physically demanding role at his age! Shia LaBeouf was a very good choice in his role to be a neglected teenage son turning into a man. He will be a superstar in the next two years and far into his adulthood. Go Shia!! Let's see where the next Indiana Jones goes..... I doubt we have seen the last of the tales, even if the characters are a little different....

Silly me I thought this was supposed to be an adventure movie, not a Sci-Fi B movie. The action was pretty good, the pace wasn't bad, but the ending was very lame and out of character with the other three movies. All of the acting was good, with the exception of Cate Blanchett - who I usually like. I'd advise waiting for DVD release and renting this one it's not worth the high price of admission.

I enjoyed the movie but found some scenes(e.g.: monkeys) to be a bit contrived. Whoever is letting George Lucas write dialogue needs to be fired ("Their knowledge was gold"). I was happy when Shia Lebouf didn't put on the hat.

I really enjoyed the IJ movie, though not awesome it was still definately worth going to see. I really liked how they tied up all the loose ends of the other movies, though the plot was a bit odd it still made sense. I would definately recommend everyone to go see it.

We took the whole family to see Indiana Jones. Ages 7 to 63. We are all Indy fans and have seen all the others. We were not disappointed. Great action and the slight references to other movies was fun. We recommend it to all action lovers.

Okay, I would watch Harrison Ford do just about ANYTHING, but the Indiana Jones character has always been my favorite, so of COURSE I had to see this one. Harrison was awesome. Perfect. Wonderful. DELICIOUS. The plot? Not-so-awesome. Aliens? SOOO not something Indy would get involved in. Not believable at ALL. Very disappointing plot. thought the movie was too far fetched. The Alien theme was hard to follow. Being a fan of the Indiana Jones theme, found this to be a disappointment. Going over those falls and surviving - it was ridiculous.

Nobody will accuse this movie of being a "thinker." It is campy as anything. It's also cheesey as anything. However, unlike a lot of critically acclaimed movies and TV shows, it was actually enjoyable. If I had to rank it, it was not as good as the original, or "The Last Crusade," but it was much better than "The Temple of Doom."

Well I was a bit dissapointed with this. Indiana Jones' character was still awesome and the always foriegn lady villian was good too. But, aliens?? Come on, Really??? I have really liked the whole religious aspect of all the other flicks. I figured it would be cool Myan stuff, I understand that there is some facts behind the crystal skull and the Myans. But it was all a little too fantastic and star wars-y for me. I was also a little dissapointed that I had very recently seen National Treasure 2, and that was about the same fabled city of gold. I really really got lot lost when Shia swung with monkeys, what the heck did that mean? And the unstable sword fight on top of the ducks was already done between Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones last year. But all in all, I really enjoyed Harrison Fords performance and especially the there will be no sequel joke at the end. Because there is only one Indiana Jones! Go see it it was cool.

I went with my husband and my two boys...I am much harder to impress and entertain than they are, and I was happily surprised to find the common thread that we love about the IJ movies running through this new film...suspense, exciting action scenes, humor, cute dialog, the evil bad guys...my husband and I agree that the pure entertainment quality of the Indiana Jones films was delivered intact, but my youngest son and I agree that the sci-fi alien angle was a little silly. My teenage son and I don't agree on anything. Ever. That aside, I would say, overall, an afternoon well spent...and I went into the theatre expecting to be disappointed...sequals just seem to do that to me...I was happy to be proved wrong!

OK, first off, this isn't the Godfather. Heck, it isn't even Radiers of the Lost Ark. But if you loved the other Indy Movies, you'll love this too. Great action, lots of in-jokes, lots of snappy one-liners. And for anyone who's says "Harrison's too old" - by 10 minutes in, you barely notice his age, and you care even less. The opening scene with the hat on the ground is great, just the first example of some excellent camera work. The ending is a bit trippy, but it worked for me!
