Loved the movie!!! I enjoyed how they brought Indy into today's times...a bit history and a bit x-files. Also liked how they made it known that Indy was older and this wasn't "back in the day". Had a few cheesy scenes that were a bit out there but all in all the movie had alot of excitement and was very enjoyable! A MUST see!

We had our kids watch the three prior installments before seeing this one. We enjoyed the movie's action and humor. The story line seemed more unbelieveable than the prior ones--a bit over the top, but still entertaining. After having just watched the earlier films, it was hard to see the age difference in Harrison, but he did a great job and was actually looking pretty good! I wish the chemistry between Indiana and Mutt was better, but they definitely left the film open for future installments. I would recommend this film to others as it was entertaining, but I don't think it was better than the three earlier ones.

You have to view the film with an open mind. Remember that Harison Ford is in his 60's. Shea Le bouf was a nice touch, to help offset the age issue. As usual the film was great to watch, sets and all. Acting and story line were on par with the previous films. Subject was interesting, but could have gone into more depth.All in all was well worth the wait.

Don't expect the thrills of the first Indy movie to be here. It was fun to see the old characters again, and I actually liked Shia LeBoeuf in this a lot. It was okay for kids (we have one 7 and one 8). The references to American Graffiti and ET are kind of cool for Lucas/Speilberg fans.

The movie was great..........yes, a typical Indiana Jones movie.........lots of action!! Things that would ONLY happen in a movie......but all in all very entertaining!!! I loved the return of Karen Allen.........they had the best chemistry of all the heroines in all these movies!! Good Move!! Of course one needs to be an Indian Jones fan, but it was a good film, dated in the 1950's, with all of the period cars. It kept my attention, with some twists and turns, and at the end it was a bit surprising. I won't give away any details, but it had some futuristic twists as well.

A slow start. Harrison Ford looks like my grandfather fighting the bad guys. The middle action sceens were great. The ending was silly at best. It's almost like they did not know how to end the movie. Of the four Indiana Jones movies, this one was number four

The movie was long overdue. I certainly enjoyed it, special effects were good, glad it had ties to the first movie (which is still my favorite). Definitely would add the DVD to my collection when it comes out.

This was a fun movie. Great stunts and antics, particularly during chase scenes. Intriguing plot that interweaves interrestrials with 1950's history and culture. Interesting tie-ins to previous movies, especially the glimpse of the ark of the covenant in the warehouse crate.

I keep reading reviews where people want more from this film and something more"realistic." It's Indiana Jones! None of the movies are realistic and neither are the characters. You go for high adventure and fun, and this had it in spades!

As a child of the late eighties, I only viewed the prior three films via the cable box. I remember how exciting the films were to see someone of intelligence performing amazing adventures. An archeaologist could do all this stuff and have a heart to know what is right. I was anticipating this film and got somewhat nostalgic to be able to view one on the big screen. The film was an eloquent cycle from the first in the series and allowed a more human side of Henry Jones, Jr. to be viewed. However, the overexaggerated accent of Cate Blanchett (whom I adore) was distracting along with the story line. I love Harrison in this role; he is Indiana and the return of Karen Allen was great and the addition of Shia LeBouf (whom seems to only do roles where he can be an annoyance ). Nonetheless, the nostalgia was exciting to see the action, stunts, and now even CGI. Of course, there were some portions I would have altered or omitted; but overall, I enjoyed it.

I thought it was a good movie. Perhaps not the best of the series, but it's better than what's her name (Kate Capshaw?) in the second one screaming for 2 hours everytime nothing happened along with that annoying little kid. The plot...yeah somewhat unbelievable....but who cares? My daughter and her friends loved it and that's what counts. Well worth the price of admission. Highly entertaining...all in all very well done.

It started out with a bang, a great re-introduction to Dr. Jones. That opening scene is just pure vintage Indy. I didn't even mind the exposition, the set-up, the car chase through the college campus, etc. Then the last half hour had to come and ruin it all for me. There have been many posts about the "realism" of Indy movies. That didn't bother me so much. What began to bother me was that it started to feel like a "Mummy" movie. Shia's character swordfighting with Irina Spalko and then he decides to swing on some vines with CGI monkeys. The end just really set it over the top for me and turned me away. The epilogue was a nice touch, but all in all I was disappointed.

This movie, the fourth installment of The Indiana Jones theatrical masterpiece, is so different from the original movies, it is almost like watching a completely new show. They stray away from Indy's original archaeological findings of mythical religious artifacts and plunge the viewer into a world of science fiction and fantasy. The way they portrayed the myth of the crystal skulls was just amazing, and exactly what people believe the crystal skulls to be. Shia LaBeouf brings a breath-taking charismatic performance to the screen, and the interaction between he and Harrison Ford shows what great actors can achieve. I will see it again and again, and I hope that die-hard Indy fans, like myself, can see past the fact that it has been over 20 years since the last film and will see this movie for the brilliance it is.

Being a fan of Indiana Jones I liked it allot! I would definitely recommend this movie. It is a fun and adventurous.I thought the ending was a little disappointing not what I expected. And some of the prop's could of been made to look better. I went with my husband and 2 daughters in their 20's. My family seemed to enjoy it. If you want to get away for a while and go into an adventure and laugh I would recommend this movie to you!

I went with my husband and my 11 year-old and 21 year-old sons and we all thought it was a good movie. It was a little predictable in parts and surprising in others. It was fun to see some of the old story line revisited. I would recommend it.

Indiana Jones got old! What a blast. I love that they didn't just choose some younger actor to carry the torch like all of the Bond movies have done. Harrison Ford is great as Indiana Jones as usual. He used his brain more than his body in this one -- totally appropriate for an aging adventurer/archaelogist. The plot was ridiculous as was true for most of these movies, but that's not really the point now is it! The addition of Shia LeBoeuf as Indy the third raises the possibility of an Indiana Jones movie with him as the leading character in the future. He was great in this one, so it wouldn't be so bad to have Harrison play the senior role in the future as Sean Connery did. This movie was more nostalgic than magical. But DEFINITELY worth seeing,

I definitely recommend this movie. Speilberg and Lucas prove they are the masters of a genre they created. It is true to Indiana Jones' style. They don't assume their audiences are stupid and they don't pull cheap tricks with CGI. It makes National Treasure look like a film made for idiots. Speilberg never condescends his audience. It's made with stunt people, interesting subject matter, is superbly directed and wonderfully acted. It's a classic Speilberg in all senses. With a good bit of Lucas thrown in there for good measure. I am so happy that movies like this can still be made.

I am a fan of Indy but this movie was the least enjoyable of the four. All six of us who wateche it together felt it was disjointed, and most of the acting was phoned in. We liked the idea of the reprise of Marion's and Indy's relationship, but it really wasn't developed, and Marion did not have the spunk she showed originally. We had really looked forward to this and left the movie feeling let down.

Once again I was the victim of Hollywood hype. How can such a creative team as Spieberg and Lucas come up with such a totally inane film with no discernable story line, forgettable dialogue, and silly comedic stunts and special effects? Maybe it was intended to be a comedy rather than a thriller? It was hard to tell. Hollywood needs to relearn what it used to know so well: A good movie requires a good story well told. This movie is neither.

Indy is not about real or believable it is about entertainment. This film is entertaining and fun and proves what some of us had wondered about- Old Guys Rule!

I'm not sure if someone not familiar with the old Indiana Jones films would appreciate this, but those that are will love it. I loved the old ones as a child and this one definitely was not a dissappointment. It had it all and I wish there were more!

I grew up on the Spielberg/Lucas epics of the late 70's and 80's, and the Indiana Jones saga was always an enjoyable series. It was good to see Indiana Jones back in action after nearly a two decade absence, but the end result of all the anticipation was a little disappointing.
The story line is simply too disjointed. Unlike the previous three movies, this one finds you having to sit through several long stretches of dialogue as they try to explain every aspect of the story line. Just when the movie seems to get going, you have to shift gears and sit through a scene where Spielberg feels compelled to explain in minute detail about the crystal skull. Once scene would have been sufficient, but he peppered them throughout the movie.
The action sequences were great, although you spend half your time thinking about how old Harrison Ford looks compared to the good old days, and chuckling about the sight of a 65 year old man trying to resurrect his action hero status. Ford actually does a decent job in the movie, but this movie is about 5-10 years beyond his action start lifespan.
I guess they decided to throw us a bone by putting Karen Allen in the movie, although her part is pretty insignificant beyond the less than shocking revelation that comes after one of those infamous lenghty dialogues.
The one aspect of the movie where Spielberg and Lucas have always done an outstanding job is with visual effects. Setting the feel for the early cold war, they gave the movie a feel that fit the era completely. The cinematography, and the visual effects were top notch.
If you're looking for a movie that will leave you with the sense that you've seen the best of the Indiana Jones movies, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for an entertaining action adventure that the entire family can enjoy, then you'll like this flick.

I went knowing that Harrison Ford was an older gentleman and there was no way he was going to be able to make another movie like the others, but I thought they would have tried for a more believable story line at least. Some nice special effects, but if you've already been lost halfway through the movie going 'oh yea, that'll happen', then the effects are lost as well. Sorry Harrison - time to play somebody's Grandpa.
