My husband couldn't wait for this movie to hit the theaters. So we had to go opening weekend. It was very entertaining. Fun for the family. Action packed. Funny. Had bits & pieces of items/references to the other movies. I just loved that Karen Allen was back. She was my favorite of all the romantic interests for Indy.

If you like Indiana Jones movies you'll like this one too. Of course it has some incredibly unrealistic things in it, but isn't that what you would expect? It isn't a great movie, but it was enjoyable and the whole family had fun. The ending was confusing for the 10-year old but not too scary overall. Just watch out for the termite/ant mound scene if you have young ones, this was a bit intense for her.

I was so looking forward to this latest Indiana Jones movie. But it was not up to par with the others. The first Indy movie was the best and the've gone downhill from there. The fight scenes in this one were so unbelieveable and way too long!! In fact, the entire story was totally unbelievable and, in my opinion, beyond imagination. I do believe, however, that the writers are setting the stage for further movies featuring the youngest Indiana Jones.

Disappointing. Surviving some of the events were preposterous. Totally unbelievable from start to finish. Good action sequences however. With Lucas and Spielberg I would have expected a movie that would have been much, much better. Ford was still Indy, though. And good to see Karen Allen once again.

I thought the movie was excellent. Some say it was unbelievable but it was a fantasy-adventure, was it not. The special effect were amazing. The cinematography was breath taking. This movie is beyond bad. In no way did it capture the magic, the pacing, or the action that made earlier Indiana Jones movies classics. The story isn't bad, the acting isn't terrible, (CGI was a misstep, but ok), but there was no reason for this to have been made. This movie was not as bad as the Temple of Doom, but was not as good as The Lost Crusade. Suffice it to say, it was better than staying home on a Sunday afternoon, but light-years away from the quality of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The script was disjointed and attempts were made to fill in the poor writing with computer graphics. I felt as though I could write a better script, or at least one that was no more inept.
The Lost Crusade at least had Sean Connery and Denholm Elliot; this movie lacked any actors of that stature outside of Harrison Ford himself.
I'm 54 and was 27 when Raiders came out. So my poor experience with this movie may be somewhat due to the increase in my age - perhaps young people would like it more. My advice? Wait for DVD

I don't understand any of the good reviews. I loved the Indiana Jones films. The opening scene made no sense as much of the scenes thereafter. Terrible script and worse was the lack of script continuity. Very dissappointing. Too much computer animation for just the effects - and honestly, who cares? What was cool about the other movies' special effects was that they were believeable in a crazy way. This film - they are just there because they could do it. Harrison on the other hand looks very good and was his usual Indie self but he alone does not a good movie make.

I loved the movie...I also took 6 kids along with me ranging in age from 5 to 12. Every one of them sat in their seat for the entire 120 minutes with their eyes wide. The action, excitement and entertainment was certainly there if you could captivate them for then entire time!

Not bad for 60 years old. Harrison Ford can still deliver a punch. It was fun having them bring back Marion. Nice action stuff, but the ants were just disgusting. Wierd ideas, but then again, they were in the late 50's so the russian stuff made sense. Overall fun for my 10 yr old and that's what really counts for me. We like Indy so what the heck!! We'll very likely end up owning it on DVD!

I found the movie to be entertaining, and Harrison Ford just as handsome and enjoyable as ever. I wasn't sure of the date of the film and thought it had to be in the fifties. Indiana having a son is a great segue for the son to take on the adventures of his father. Nice shot of Sean Connery in the picture on the desk, in reference to his dad. Good tie-in. Great adventure shots, some unbelievable, but entertaining just the same. Irina's character is a bit too obnoxious. Driving in the jungle could have been cut shorter. I was glad to see the friend who lost his mind, get it back in the end. All in all I would recommend it, because it did exactly what it had intended to do, give the viewer an entertaining way to escape for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. Nice romantic touch in the end.

I took the whole family -- two teens (one of whom has never seen the earlier Indiana Jones movies) and my wife (who watched the 1st one in a theater with me a long, long time ago). Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed the movie for a wide variety of reasons--it was well crafted, had plenty of action, and lots of subtle reminders of the earlier fiilms. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good escape from high gas prices, traffic, and overbooked schedules.

My husband and I, who took our 3 kids (11, 14, 16) to see this, after they've been hooked on the series through watching them at home, loved that this was in the spirit of the original series. The story was fun & full of Spielberg trademarks, which we appreciate; the connections with other themes across his films was great!

The story line was good. The effects were great! However, the film lacked the excitement of the earlier Indiana Jones movies. The constant references to Indy's age, and the quips of " ok old man. " and the like, where in my opinion, an unnecessary distraction from what could have been a Great Movie. Clearly, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is the set up movie for Jones to pass the tourch to his young son as the new Indiana Jones. Way too much emphasis was placed on this fact and was a major distraction in an otherwise very good movie

Yes, the script is weak and overly complicated. Yes, some of the action scenes/stuntwork are entirely unbelievable. Yes, some of the plot twists are mind-boggling and not in the good way. BUT...it's still a lot of fun in the old-fashioned style we've come to expect from Indy. Considering what Lucas did to the Star Wars series, my fears were great heading into this one. I'm happy to report that while it's not the best entry in the series, there is nothing truly disastrous going on and it was a delight to see these characters back in action again. Don't be afraid...go see it!

the movie makers were up against legacy - but were able to deliver a fresh uncharted adventure. they know their audience - it is clever and has elements of popular interest - plus a good old and much needed 'the end'!

Confusing plot points and unrealistic stunts - It appears Mr. Spielberg is just in this one for the money. Not recommended for kids - skulls and slitting into mummy carcasses. The impossible to follow plot points (which the characters try to narrate for us) are surrounded by non-stop action (mostly just for action's sake). I like Spielberg, I like Harrison Ford, I like Indiana Jones. I did not like this movie.
