This movie may not have been the best out of all the Indy movies, but my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. We have heard complaints about the animation being too fake and we didn't agree on that at all. Additionally, people have complained about Shia LaBeouf's character, and we think he did a fantastic job. The movie did a good job of showing an older Indiana Jones. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about an older Indy but by the end of the movie I really enjoyed it. Bits and pieces of the movie weren't perfect, I felt Karen Allen's character should have been in the movie more... but all in all it was worth our money and we really enjoyed seeing Indy on the big screen once again!

This movie was a lot of fun from start to finish, it reminds you of the old days with a great little reference to raiders in the beginning...the only thing that holds this from being a 5 star review is that some of the stunts were a little too over the top and it kinda takes away a little bit of the cool "real" action, but these are minor things that if you get over, you'll learn to absolutely love this movie. I love raiders, and last crusade always has a special place in my heart but this movie is definately tied for 2nd place with crusade in my book...Long live Dr. Jones!

This film overall is good. The action and CGI are really good, but the plot, not so much. The "Crystal Skull" story line was a bit of a stretch. I loved the previous Indiana Jones films, but this was just ok in comparison. Very predictable, the lines were not as funny, and there really was no fun banter between Indy and other characters.

just what exactly were you people expecting? a cure for cancer? good grief. lighten up! this was a way fun movie and just what was promised: to see indy on another adventure in a saturday matinee genre. it delivered everything i wanted AND the happy ending! i loved getting to spend an afternoon with the "gang" again and at the very least, i smiled all the way thru. what more do you want?! i loved every minute of it, even the ones that stretched my reality beyond boring home and work and politics. geesh.

Although technology has greatly improved since the last Jones installment, the quality has gone down. The film was still mostly entertaining and had a few laughs. People doing the CGI animals were having a little too much fun. A lot of -people are complaining about the lack of realism, how do you explain the previous movies? Although the jungle vine swinging was dumb and unecessary. Thats about it. Worth seeing.

I went into this movie with an open mind. After being a huge fan of the previous movies, I expected a huge thrill ride of entertainment. Before the movie, my friend mentioned two things she predicted, to which I agreed and ultimately came true. Needless to say, the movie is predictable to the extent that it didn't really surprise me as an Indy fan. I think the complete overuse of visual effects (starting at the very beginning with the groundhog) and continuing throughout made it difficult to believe. The pure draw of Indiana Jones is that he's a real guy that real things are happening to. The story was over the top and I didn't think it had any flow or pizazz as the previous movies. It was enjoyable, but not to the extent that it should be called Indiana Jones. Lucas and Spielberg should frankly have just created something better...

After nearly a 20 year wait, Indy comes back with a bang!! Great story,great special effects, and a welcome return to the old serial style of movies. The only thing missing, or should I say person, was Sean Connery. I truly wish Spielberg could have somehow convinced him to come back. There could have been some great dialog between one "old man" to another. Besides that, this movie was everything an Indy fan could hope for. You must go see this movie at the Theater to truly appreciate it.

Forget the critics, who bemoan lack of plot, and just enjoy this movie! It is fun and funny! Harrison is still charasmatic as ever and his age becomes one of the best running jokes of the flick rather than being a hindrance. It is also fun to see people like Blanchett and Hurt step out of their serious British garb and ham it up. The audience consisted of people of all ages and everyone had a good time!

This movie was everything you would expect of an Indie movie. Action, comedy, lots of references to past Indie films, and as usual a good story. The casting as always was right on! Why Karen Allen wasn't in the previous films is beyond me. The chemistry between her and Harrison Ford was perfect as the first time around. Run don't walk to the final chapter in the Indie series.

For those of us who experienced the phenomenon that was "Raiders" when it first came out, I don't think there's a movie that Spielberg and company could have made that wouldn't be disappointing. I'll be interested to see how those who didn't see the originals feel about this new installment. Frankly, I think this film was too much of everything...too big, too loud, too much over the top action. The third Indy film found its equilibrium (after stumbling in Temple of Doom) by reigning in the action and mayhem, and giving Indy a truly meaningful quest. This newest film felt too calculated, and didn't have the spontaneous, light feel of the first and third films. Still, not a total disappointment. Harrison Ford looks great and seem to be enjoying himself. I have to say that the dialogue between him and Marion felt rather stiff, though. If you love the Indy franchise, you should definitely see the film...but you would anyway, wouldn't you?

Sorry Indy, but not this time. As an avid Indy fan, I was very excited at the prospects of "...Crsytal Skull". Unfortunately, it fell short. While it was great to see old friends, hear familiar lines, and see some entertaining stunts the plot and characters seemed tired and a bit contrived. Though a bit much at times, I must admit that the creativity behind the set designs and functionality of the temples, etc. were quite impressive. Overall, I would say that "....Crystal Skull" makes for a great rental on a stay-at-home movie night, but not worth the price at the box office.

This movie wasn't quite like the others, it was well made but, it was SCI-FI. When you think of Indiana Jones, do you think of funny looking aliens? no. You think of awesome stunts, and of course with Indiana Jones going back to save his hat. Kudos, however, to Shia LaBeoff (i dont know how to spell his name)- great acting, and he's finally grown up! I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone else, but I do say the plot line was not terrible.

Having seen the first three when originally released, I was not sure what to expect. I also took my two teenage daughters who had not seen any of the ealier movies. We thought it a good movie, though I thought it was perhaps a bit more like Temple of Doom (my least favorite of the three) than Ark or Last Crusade. In any event, we liked the story and the characters. It was not too scary and kept us all interested. Ford played the old Indie well and the girls liked Shia LaBeouf.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Any fan of the Indie series will love this one too. Ok, so the Crystal Skull theory was a bit hoakie, but that's ok. After watching the speical on the History Channel about the Archeology behind the Indie films, it seemed a bit less hoakie. I love Harrison Ford, no one else can do Indiana Jones! A must see for Indie Fans Old and young!

Harrison Ford is older than dirt in this fourth Indiana Jones installment. I compare this horrible movie to the third Godfather movie, which should never have been made. This movie should have been called "Indian Jones and the quest for the adult diaper." The plot and ending can be figured out from the commercials. Do not go see it. You will be amazingly disappointed. I know I was. Eighteen year wait should have been longer, like after spielberg, lucas and harrison ford have kicked the bucket. Lucas and Spielberg should be ashamed of themselves for shoving this s**t down people's throats.

This movie was great for feeling nostalgic. It brought back alot of childhood memories, and the thrill of adventure. The story line was kind of all over the place, parts were far fetched. Save this for the rental.
