I put Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on par with the Last Crusade. Its definitely better than the Temple of Doom, which I consider to be the weakest of the Indiana Jones movies. I was glad to see that Harrison Ford plays his age in this movie, which is a lot more realistic than trying to make him 35 years old. Even as an old guy, Indy still has plenty of spring in his step. Also, I was glad to see that the love interest was someone his age, rather than some 22 year old kitten. All-in-all, a fun movie that both kids and adults will enjoy.

I think that watching all three previous movies helped a bit refreshing the memory about how an Indie movie flows and the Skull followed the flow well. Overall a very decent movie, but f I hadn't watched the previous ones I would have only rated it as fair.

I have been a long time fan of these movies. This movie did not disappoint in the least. It had great action and lots of comedy and I thought the ending was great. I don't understand why others did not like it. I for one go to the movies to be entertained and this movie did just that. If you liked the other Indiana Jones movies, this is another to add to your list. It even has the same look s feel and thankfully does not over do the computer generated images as with most other flicks these days. The plot is typical and hardly worth trying to remember, but as usual,the action and adventure become the main event. My only real problem with the movie are that some of the fight and chase scenes just go so long that they actually begin to get fatiguing and unrealistic. I find that this is a typical fault of Spielberg, but other than those few sequences, it is quite a fun thrill ride of a movie.

I have been a big fan of Indiana Jones movies since the beginning but the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was not quite the same as the previous three movies. It's possible because of the number of special effect sequences and the non-realistic stunts...
Saying that, I would still get the DVD and watch it again, it is very entertaining if you simply watch it without criticizing the film making. You will have a good time and enjoy the Ford's humor.

Great movie. They didn't try to hide the fact that Harrison Ford is quite a bit older. Loved that Karen Allen was back. My 8 yo nephew enjoyed it as well.

I know there are a lot of haters out there because of the stunts, the storyline, and how the movie ended - but this is true Indiana Jones fashion! i LOVED the otherworldliness of this movei. Harrison Ford came back with a vengeance and Shia LaBeouf is a nice introduction to the Indiana series. Go see it - don't believe the critics - just have fun!

Awesome movie. Full of action like you would expect from Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), Speilberg and Lucas. The theatre was wonderful: huge screen and wondrous sound system. I think everyone except the very young will enjoy this movie but especially those of us who were alive in 1957. GREAT MOVIE.

I am an Indy fan - I grew up watching the movies and this one combined many different elements from the first 3 that I enjoyed. I also love that is leaves you with the hope that there may yet be another one! As a stand alone movie the story is OK, but if you include the 1st and 3rd movies with it - the pieces tie together nicely. I will buy this one to go with the other 3.

This movie has been a long time coming. If you Love Indiana Jones from the past this movie will not disappoint you. No matter what he does, or how old he gets, he is still exciting. The story line was not the best, but it's really about the characters. It makes us all a little younger at heart to see Indiana in action again, even if he is moving a little slower. It was great!

We had fun! Typical Indiana Jones; stunts were amazing but in this kind of movie it's fun. Harrison Ford was excellent; cool how they tied to Raiders of the Lost Ark; new guy was OK; the comb thing was a bit annoying..... Great movie! I was afraid that George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were messing with a good thing by making a sequal almost 20 years after "The Last Crusade" so I was surprised to find myself truly enjoying the movie! This film has a lot of the same feeling of the original while still remembering that Indiana is a lot older. It has subtle humor, a lot of action, and yes some unbelievable parts, but that's part of the bigger-than-life and over-the-top feeling of a movie like this. All in all, a lot of good fun.

Relied too heavily upon the past. Writing, acting, and production values needed more work. Some soap opera plot ploys were used. Great action and suspense but some stunts too unbelievable. When the third movie ended, with quaffs of immortality from the Grail and a ride into the sunset, that was a perfectly satisfying conclusion to the chronicles of Indiana Jones. This installment was not.

I found this movie to be a good follow up to the Indiana Jones series. Yes, Harrison Ford has aged ALOT, but it was still good family fun! My kids all enjoyed it very much. The ending was a little corny, but then again, that's Hollywood!

Watching Indian Jones is like welcoming an old friend back home. It's great to see Indy back in action. This was just old fashioned fun and adventure. Cate Blanchett made a wonderful villain. I have to admit I was a little skeptical that the aging Harrison Ford could revive the youthful character seen the previous Indiana Jones movies. But the writing was done well, and they used his age in script instead of trying to pretend he was still a young lad. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there were action scenes that seemed to just go on and on. (The jungle chase scene) A little more film on the cutting room floor would have made this a better film. Sometimes less is more, but it was very entertaining and I really enjoyed it.

First let me say, I'm a huge Indy fan. I came into this movie with really high hopes and I can say that it was almost everything I wanted. It was tough getting used to Russians and not Germans, but this is a fast forward from Last Crusade. At least they tried to compensate for the age difference.
Harrison Ford was awesome. Totally sank right back into it. It was also a little different in so far as its a paranormal and not a religious artifact like the arc or the grail, but its no less fun as a result of it. Tons of good old fashioned stunt work, car chases, and knock-down drag-out fist fighting. While it didn't have the magic chemistry of Connery and Ford, it still ranks up right next to the Last Crusade as my 2nd favorite installment next to Raiders. Lots of good comic relief and really good side jokes from the other movies.
