I grew up with Indiana Jones - I saw the other three movies at various stages of my life and therefore associate each movie with personal memories of friends and times now past. It is appropriate that I would have mixed feelings about this fourth entry in the saga. Harrison Ford is the soul of this film and makes the movie worth seeing. Otherwise, this film is somewhat pedestrian.

We originally took our children to the first Indiana Jones, which we thoroughly enjoyed. This time, we took grandsons. Although they have seen the earlier ones at home, it seems they enjoyed the action and story. We are perhaps jaded by now. It was fun to see the attempts to 'link' to previous movies -- if you can catch them. An Ok treat for the kids, but we were a littled disappointed.

I love Indiana Jones, I love Harrison Ford, I love Cate Blanchett, but I didn't love this movie's ending. It was just too unbelieveable. And where did they get that "crystal skull"? Kmart? Sheesh. It was unrealistic. And I'm used to a whole lot more intrigue than this for an Indiana Jones script. But I still love Indy, Harrison and Cate. If you love the series, go see the movie.

First of all, let me answer all the critics out there by reminding them that this was never meant to be Citizen Kane! So suspend your disbelief and go along for the ride. This movie was fun, action packed, and very well done. I thought it was a very fitting capper to the series. Karen Allen was great, and lovely. It was nice to see our heroes age, too. All in all, this was a lot of fun!

We loved the new Indy movie!! It was exciting. What was so great about the movie was the fact that Indy has a son in this movie (future Indy Jr. movies) and that he marries Marion. It was great to see her back. She looked like she had a lot of fun playing her part again. Harrison is amazing. I know he did most of his own stunts. He looks great and really was in good shape. The young man that played his son is handsome, was a very good actor and ready to carry on the Indiana stories, which we will be very happy to see someday. As someone else wrote, it was a time to get away from the cares of this world for a brief 2 hrs. and imagine that you could be part of the excitment. I love that Spielberg & Lucas were together again doing what they do best. Congratulations to all!! It was worth waiting for!!

For all those people who rant about no plot and lack of development, do you really think this movie was meant to be a serious one? None of the other Indy movies took themselves that seriously, so why should this one? I think it was a great addition to the series and it really surprised me. I was a little taken aback at first with the whole 'alien' angle but it fits when you think about the time in which the movie is taking place. As always, Indy delivered some great action scenes and some cheesy humor, all in a movie that didn't need to use obscenities and nudity to sell tickets. great movie for the whole family!!!

I thought this was a pretty good movie. I would give it a B rating. The most surprising and my personal favorite part if this movie was seeing Harrison Ford back in action again and He did a great job. I was not expecting to see him move so limberly, but wow props for him. The only downfall of the movie is the ending and the underlaying theme was a little too pushed. I dont want to spoil anything so I will not reveal what it is. If not for the ending I would have given this movie an A-. Keep in mind when watching this movie that for the previous Indiana Jones movies they did sort of hint on the main idea of this movie just in a very subtle way. Back when the other movies were made they did not have the technology to go as far as they did in this one. Sill I thought it was a very fun movie with exciting seenes. It was worth going to see it.

The suspend belief buttons were in full swing here - from surviving a nuclear blast to easily reading ancient Olmec and Mayan hieroglyphics (interspersed, I might add). But it was highly entertaining and Marian was wonderful to see again. After 19 years I really wanted more. I rate the original Indy as the best, Last Crusade as almost as good, but Crystal Skull was better than Temple of Doom. It WAS great to see Harrison Ford in the role again and I think the hat will be passed to a worthy successor. One of the things that really bothered me was that a skull of quartz crystal of that size would be HEAVY. Instead, they are tossing it around as if it was a basketball. The plexi was WAY too light.

The previous movies carried a mystical and some what believable plot through all three movies. This one was too out there...literally. I think it boils down to the ending, it was too complicated. Unlike the previous movies, it had unnessesary special effects. The best solution would have been to go with an Arch concept, a mystical blast or a ride off into the sunset (Grail)....not flying saucers. It seems as if our beloved Spielberg and Lucas have finally gone off the creative deep end. Let just say I walked out of the theater with a heavy heart...not a feeling one should get from Indiana Jones.

Once I got past the shock of everyone (Indy, Marian, etc.) being older, this was a pretty good sequel. Some of the special effects looked a little too contrived, but overall the storyline held true to "Indy style". I especially liked the introduction of Shia LaBeouf, great character.

Indy's back, this movie pays homeage to everyone involved in previous Jones escapade's. Karen Allen was the best female role of the whole series and she is back with a predictable twist, John Hurt well is one of the greatest actors of his, mine, yours or any generation. Shia Leboef proves that should Lucas/Speilberg want to dip into the gravy again he is capable of entertaining audiences the 'Jones way' as Sean Connery, Harrison Ford, River Phoenix, have done previously and that is a quality lineage. Still the movie is not as good Raiders but I for one hope they keep trying and we don't have to wait 19 years for the next one. After all Harrison and Karen will be in their 80's by then.

For true die-hard fans of Indy, you won't be disappointed. While the plot is very different from previous films, it still has the humor and great fight scenes of the earlier movies. Plus, he knows he's older and acknowledges it.

I went to see this movie with my girlfriend who'd never seen an Indiana Jones movie before, so I made her watch the first one the night before just in case the movie sucked, I didn't want her get a bad impression of Indiana Jones movies. But to my delight, the movie was original, funny, exciting, and was filled with references to previous titles which was very fun for my girlfriend and I. I would recommend this movie to anyone who's seen an Indiana Jones movie before. If you haven't, watch Raiders of the Lost Ark first.

Having grown up with the Indiana movies... my only concern was that they wouldn't reach my expectations... and they did. True to the Indy's tradition, they deliver an entertaining story, with plenty of action and great storytelling from the masters themselves: Spielberg and Lucas. I am not disappointed and know I'll like it more the more times I see it...
