True to form. This movie made up for the disappointing Temple of Doom. I loved the tongue-in-cheek one-liners, the action, the devotion to past characters and actors, the action, and the story line. I enjoyed the entertainment that the movie brought. It was good that the movie did not use the more modern special effects. Indiana Jones took be back to the first 3 movies of Indiana Jones. Also, to see that Indiana Jones did not lose that whip action as well.

Good stunt work, quick thinking makes this action follow-up a good summer film. Learn why every women's fantasy may be over, unless you are 21 and like Shia LaBeouf, who gave a reasonable performance. John Hurt is always entertaining and overall it was enjoyable. The plot is a little hard to believe in the end, although I liked that it was different, just left some unanswered questions, like the warehouse! That might make a nice spinoff for Shia LeBeouf.

I liked this movie. In some ways its allusions to other IJ films were "completing." It had the requisite bugs and fights and danger, but less adventure and danger than others. Less REALLY thrilling points and it lacked some the Jones whip action that was always fun to watch. Overall it was worth seeing again...at the matinee price.

I expected more thinking, more plot. I didn't expect Indiana Jones to try to repeat the actions of years ago. I also didn't expect him to meet and fall in love with Marion. The lost son angle was not a surprise at all. Everything led up to it. And Shia is kind of overdone in a cutesy teen sort of way. He kind of pushed it in the Transformers movie.

I loved this movie. Harrison Ford is back in top form as Indy. The plot is complex, but the interaction between the actors is what really counts. The fights, the car chases the snakes are part of the mystique. Crystal Skull is second only to Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Indy and his pals save the world again! Of course, how else could it turn out? This is a fine film. Not great, but certainly worth seeing on a big screen. I don't think it requires multiple viewings, so I expect the box-office to tank quickly. Plenty of action, but also just a little tired feeling. See it, enjoy it, then move on to the next big summer film.

Everything we've come to love about the Indiana Jones series is here (amazing stunt sequences, humor, pseudo-mysticism), with a few new twists (aliens, nuclear explosions). Harrison Ford's age only adds to his character's weatherbeaten charm. Shia LaBeouf's character Mutt is a predictable, Fonzie-type 50's tough guy, but he holds his own in the action scenes. And Karen Allen almost steals the movie, returning here as fiesty Marian Ravenwood, the best of Indy's sidekicks/romantic interests. While no film will ever top the first, this is a worthy addition to the series, and leaves one longing for another.

I thought the new installment in the Indiana Jones saga was worth the time and money. The only thing I felt was lacking from the previous 3 movies is some of the "gross factor". It seemed fairly tame compared to the first 3; no chilled monkey brains, melting faces or hearts removed from chest cavities. All said, however, it was great to see Indy in action one last time. Very sad to think that this is probably Ford's last time playing one of my favorite movie heros.

My husband and I took our two young boys to the show. It was entertaining. The six year old loved it. He said, "It was the best movie EVER". It was exciting and fun. It was a little cheezy in parts. It was sad to see Harrison Ford aging - but they even poked fun at that in the movie. Overall, it was worth it.

This was an excellent follow up to the previous Indiana Jones'. I would highly recommend it if you love the previous movies. If you are looking for something "Indiana jones is frozen and transported to 2008" don't bother. This movie follows along with the previous movies exactly as if they were made one after another. As a huge fan of the previous movies I have been waiting a long time for another Indiana Jones film to come out featuring the legendary Harrison Ford. And I was not disappointed! It started off a bit slow but once the nostalgic references were over and the real action began - it was the old movies all over again! Harrison Ford was magnificent as ever and surprisingly still sexy despite being in his sixties! That winning smile gets me every time! The story line reminded me a lot of Raiders of the Lost Ark and of course included cast from that film. I would definitely recommend to go and see it, even if Cate Blanchett's accent was a bit off at times. The action, the humor and the excitement are all there and topped off with that amazing theme tune, who wouldn't be carried along on the momentum of the movie!

Although not the best of the Jones adventures, Skull fills an afternoon with enough excitment and wonder it's worth the cost of a matinee ticket and the frustration of standing in line with a gaggle of noisy children. There are times the story drags a bit, but the special effects are a thrill including a mesmerizing glide through the jungle with a group of monkeys that is all too brief. In this 55 year old's opinion seeing Karen Allen again is glorious, and the chemistry between them is better than before. And the ending, my friends, is all Indiana Jones. So, yes, buy a ticket, stand in line and enjoy an afternoon of fun frolic with Spielberg and Jones. It's not rocket science, but it wasn't meant to be.

Having been an Indiana Jones fan since I was a little girl, I was so excited to see this movie. And then I saw it and I want my money back. It isn't the characters or the actors that make the movie bad. It's the story. The actors worked well with each other. But, when you are given this plot to work with, it makes it hard to accept. I want to know what the writers were thinking when they came up with this. I could swallow the first 3/4 of the movie as a typical adventure movie, a good fun movie, nothing too serious. But the last 1/4 of the movie made our whole group turn to each other and say, "Seriously?" At least they tied things up nicely with a typical Spielberg happy ending. That was probably the best part about it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

for harrison ford fans a must see like the fact that older actors can hold their own (male and female alike) puts a sequence to all the indiana jones series
