Ranks third out of the four Indy movies (behind Raiders and Last Crusade). The villains are less effective, and though Ford and Shia have pretty good chemistry (not to mention the show-stealing Karen Allen), they're never at the level of Ford and Allen in "Raiders," or Ford and Connery in "Crusade." They make their way through a variety of exciting obstacles, but it feels like something's missing to tie it all together.
I always preferred when the mystical aspects of the adventure were left until the object in question was discovered (e.g. the Ark, the Grail) so we could focus on the adventure. A lot of this movie slows down for exposition and the pacing seemed a bit off at times.
That said, the acting was great, the effects were good as usual, and if all you're looking for is an Indy film, there isn't much more to look for. It'd be nice to have a tighter, more effective screenplay, but this IS a George Lucas film...

What can I say I was expecting a great movie, but now a days special effects replaces great acting. I would say this can get a 3.5 rating, but it's not one of Indi's better movies. The warehouse scene was the best part of the movie since it shows his real love for being Indi.....maybe next time. I saw this movie and yes, it isn't as good as some of it's predecessors, but it is still a fun roller coaster ride. The story line is a bit hard to follow. I didn't go see this movie for the plot line. I went to see a fun, entertaining, movie. That, it is. It has all of the elements you would expect in a Indiana Jones movie. There are the long fight scenes, scary bad guys, creepy bugs (oh yeah, lots of those!) and wild special effects. If you are looking for that go see this movie.

Well the overall premise and plot were ok. What took away from the picture was some of the stunts which contradicted the laws of physics. Sword fighting on the platform of 2 trucks barreling sid by side down a seemingly endless and perfectly smooth surface that was just cut in the dense and deep forest. Or falling over a 100 foot waterfall in an amphibious vehicle only to pop up with everyone still in the vehicle (ok they fell out of vehicle in the "big" fall). The stunts went on like this - a bit much for me but may be real to a 5 year old that doesn't yet know. Also the movie wasn't as emotionally stirring as in the past. Overall it's ok - but I wouldn't suggest rushing out to see it.

I have been anticipating this movie since I'd learned it would be made. Maybe that's why I was a little dissapointed with it. It had some great Indiana Jones action & comedy but, without giving anything away, it had a Stephen King ending. I felt the same way I did after reading "It". Everyone was excellent in their roles. I loved Shai LeBouf and Cate Blanchett, and the effects and stunts were terrific. I really enjoyed this movie, but it didn't have to be Indiana Jones.

No one does it better than Steven Spielberg when it comes to great heroes, bad villians, exciting chase scenes and unbelievable action. Now thanks to CGI, the action and chaos scenes are amazing. It was great to see Karen Allen reprise her role The introduction of Shia LaBeouf as the next generation (we all know that's coming) is spot on. Be prepared to suspend all belief (isn't that what this kind of movie is all about?) and have a great time for a couple of hours. Be sure to see it on the big screen

This was my second time seeing this film. My first time around was fun but I was disappointed. Nineteen years of expectations and watching and rewatching the first three films did me an injustice. After this secod viewing I had such a fun time and would place this film up there with the others. It was a really fun ride and Harrison Ford and cast were just excellent. For those disappointed fans I would recommend seeing it again for the first time.

As is often the case these days, they play off jokes and action scenes from the previous films, then overkill in true sequel fashion. It was a bit long and dumbed down to a "kiddie" level, obviously to rake in revenues across all age groups, including the little kids who will watch same film repeatedly.

This was a fun, action-packed film in the famous and successful series. It continued the tradition of not taking itself too seriously. While you didn't need to see the first 3 films to understand it, you'd miss a couple of inside jokes if you hadn't seen them. Overall, an entertaining night out.

I'm sorry - but this movie simply seemed too-forced! Putting a legend like Harrison Ford and Labeouf together is like putting hotdogs and salad dressing together - and the mere HINT that Lebeouf may be taking it over caused me to lose my nachos!
