You know what to expect with the Indiana Jones series...always an artifact that needs to be rescued/found/returned, always snakes, always a love interest, always cheesy lines...and this one doesn't disappoint. However, it still was a great Indy movie and I'm sure I'll watch it again.

The beginning made no sense and it looked like it was shot on a cheap back lot. But hanging in there the movie did get better. I am HUGE Indy fan. Missed some of the regulars (is: Marcus, Salah) but LOVED seeing K. Allen back as her spunky self. Also loved that she LOOKED like a woman. Hollywood did not make her drop 100 lbs for this movie. Shia was OK. H Ford still has it though- grey hair and all. Missed some of the charm of the other Indy movies. Was going along with the plot (I am good at suspending belief) but at the end it just got a little too much for even me to swallow- they had me at "hello" but lost me at "goodbye". Great ending though. Will I buy the DVD? Of course. How much play time will it get in my house? Don't know yet.

I thought it was GREAT! I was so excited to see Karen Allen back playing the role of Marion. The connection between her and Indy was always so electrifying. And Shia (Mutt) was such an asset to the movie. I would definitely recommend it to diehard fans! Enjoy the adventure!!!

What can I say, too long and not that great. Just didn't seem to fall into the hype that it was given nor did it do the Indiana Jones franchise any justice. I wouldn't go see it again.

This latest "Indie" film is just as good as any of the others, maybe better. Harrison Ford still has "it" and the action is top notch. Some of the stunts are far-fetched but it's Indiana Jones! After listening to a few "movie experts" on TV, I wasn't expecting much. They were so wrong, I loved the movie, I wish Karen Allen would've been in the movie earlier, she was great and should be in more movies. This was the best movie since the first one. The young actor was very good and should be in future sequels. The story line was great.

Maybe I went in expecting a better movie, but this fell in between Raiders and Temple of Doom. Almost as good as Raiders but not average like Temple of Doom. It do not compare to Last Crusade by far. The story was fluent and entertaining, the first 90 minutes flew by like nothing, but yet some mistakes in the facts around the main story take away its spark. Pancho Villa, who died in 1923 taught Indy Quechua? When did Pancho, Mexican revolution hero, live in Peru? Wasn't Indy too young to have met him? Apart from that, it had enough Indy moments to make it above average, but again, I'm still not as Wowed as with Last Crusade.
A surprise was how well Cate Blanchett filled the role of a russian nutcase scientist. I would had not guessed she was not Ukranian, if i did not know she was british.
Nevertheless, A must see on a theather movie.

The story was OK, the dialogue was a bit weak (example: the English undercover agent seemed clearly wrong when he stated toward the end of the movie that he had lied about being a double agent?). Early in the movie Ford looked longingly at a picture of Sean Connery on his desk, it looked like he was thinking "this movie would be much better if you were in it."
All in all, the movie was pretty good. Harrison Ford /S.S. should have been cranking one of these out every 4-5 years instead of waiting for nearly 20. I wanted to grow old with Indy, but he just plopped into my life again as an "old man" and made me realize how old I had gotten since the last movie. HF "old" is 57% better than most actors young.
BTW--the best movie I watached yesterday was Raiders of the Lost Ark which I watched on DVD when I got home from the movie theater.

Not the best of the series, but definitely better than #2. Still, I liked the older, slower exposition filled scenes instead of the in your face fast sequences of most movies today. I had to suspend disbelief for most of it- but isn't that what an action film is all about?

Raiders of the Lost Ark started my love affair for Henry "Indiana" Jones. Crystal Skull does not have to be the end. I won't say I LOVED the movie, but I did like it. As someone who grew up watching the trilogy through various dates (and various men), this one wasn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed it very very much. If you are not an Indiana fan, wait for the DVD.

I rate Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at 4 out of 5 and as one of the top three Indy films. It is right behind Raiders which is just behind Grail in my book. Temple is stil far behind all of them. See it and just have fun.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie but it didn't live up to my expectations. It felt like I was watching a movie set. Although Harrison Ford has been one of my favorites and I think he still looks great, he seemed a bit sluggish here. The story was forced and my kids commented on how the crystal skull looked like it was filled with crunched up plastic wrap! Maybe we've been to too many Universal Studios stuntman shows but it felt like we were watching one of them again. Sorry folks but this one was just bearable...but I still love Indy.

If you really like Indiana Jones 1 & 3 (Raiders & Crusade), you will probably enjoy this one. It doesn't live up to the ground breaking interest of the previous two movies, but it much better than "Temple of Doom".

This is a great movie, but we have the other 3 Indiana Jones action adventures to compare to. The real difference here is that the Indiana Jones of that genre was a high energy character who kept the intensity going scene after scene. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has a future matured and relitively tired Indiana Jones feeling his age. Don't get me wrong. What his character acomplishes for his age is incredible. But it didn't quite compare to the others.

Fun to see the old gang again in this somewhat lumbering adventure. Some great set-pieces but the fleet-footed abandon of the first three is not quite there...

The special effects were great. I enjoyed seeing Indiana Jones and friends again! And think that the story of Indiana Jones will be back as an intergenerational one; the future Indie is being introduced in this movie and I think he is going to be every bit as exciting as the last Indie... If you have not seen the previous Indiana Jones movies, watch them before you see this movie.

Although the alien spacecraft was a little over the edge, Indy was Indy and that's why we watch these movies. Harrison Ford was brilliant, as usual. It was fun looking for references to the earlier movies. Also thought having Indy become a daddy was a good way to transition to the next generation. Good stuff.

It's entertaining but it sure falls outside what the other Indy movies have been about with the mysteries about religion and archeology and artifacts therein. Leave it to Lucas and his Saucer Men from Mars idea to make this the worst Indy movie and way out there.

All the action, fun, adventure of the old ones, but it's FUNNY, and even better. We watched the others in preparation, and were surprised about how hoakey they seemed. We've been spoiled by the advances in technology. This one doesn't disappoint AT ALL! We're planning to see it again! What a ride!!!

Not the best and no where near the worst. Indiana Jones is a good friend and it's great to see him back again. Kind of a predictable story line, but the action and the fun make this worthy of seeing and enjoying. Old fans will rejoice, new fans will want to see more. The whip cracks, there is the proverbial snake, and Harrison Ford is perfect in the role he was meant to play. Not a date movie and not for the squeamish, but full of the chemistry that made the franchise a joy.
