Don't get me wrong, the movie is great, but it seems that they could have got to the point sooner. It is quite a bit lengthy. Perhaps the makers were trying to keep every bit of footage of Heath since this will be our last time seeing him? He will be missed and did do a great job on the performance.

This movie was terrific. It exceeded my expectations. The character development of the Joker and Harvey Dent was superb. I don't know how they managed it, but both characters stories were told so well. I always worry when they try to squeeze in so much, but it left me still wanting more. Christian Bale has to be the best Batman ever. Go check out this movie. It was dark, twisted, and what an adventure!

I usually prefer movies in the romance and comedy genre, but "Dark Knight" was excellent! Ladies out there, do not let the fact that this in an action/comic book inspired flic deter you from seeing it. VERY intense, but in a good way. This movie held my attention from begining to end. There was not a moment of "filler" or "fluff". Every scene played an important part in telling the story. The acting was outstanding! Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker was amazing! This movie is a MUST SEE for everyone! Hope that it wins an Oscar for Best Picture. It certainly deserves it!

Of course the special effects were amazing and Heath Ledger gave a spine tingling performance. But what really stood out to me was the in depth look into the differences between what drives Batman to stand up for what is right and what drives the Joker to care about no one but himself and his own agenda.

In a world where Hollywood's summer blockbusters are little more than overly-expensive, hum-drum, time-wasters and where movie sequels wear down the greatness of the original masterpiece, this movie breaks all the rules! More often than not as of late, the average "summer blockbuster" turns out to be little more than an overpriced, empty promise made to moviegoers. The previews look amazing and the characters seem intriguing. But when you spend your money and your time on them, they leave you feeling cheated out of 8 bucks and two hours. You find out the hard way that the previews actually WERE the best parts of the movie. And sequels are twice as disappointing anymore. The story line and characters of a hit movie are quickly recycled and repackaged in order for some lucky studio to cash in on a trusting public who watch in disgust as the movie they anticipated lets them down with it's banality.
But The Dark Knight defies the odds by being both a summer mega-movie worth seeing and a sequel that outshines even it's predecessor, Batman Begins. Director Chris Nolan, and his amazing cast reassemble for another jaw dropping thrill ride that never lets go from the word 'go'. Not to mention what is sure to be at least an honest-to-goodness Oscar nod for the late Heath Ledger. His fascinatingly understated embodiment of the Joker virtually destroys any other actor's chance of outshining his maniacal take on the clown prince of crime and even renders Oscar winner Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the Joker campy by comparison. And that story! Rather than crafting a flimsy story that acts as a cheap frame for the well-known characters, Nolan created an ACTUAL story that the characters just happened to be a part of. It was a movie about a story, not a movie about the characters! I can truly say that I cannot remember that last time I saw a hyped-up summer feature that deserved such clear praise as The Dark Knight. But if all directors, writers and actors put this much care into their films, movie-goers might actually begin to feel that they UNDERpayed for their tickets for a change!

I must say The Dark Knight is truely one of the best movies of this year! It had alot of hype around it and did it live up to the hype? I'll just say this...The sky isn't even the limit for this movie! 155 million the first weekend? It's worth every one of those movie goer dollars! For anyone who hasn't see it? You gotta see it!!!!

I loved this movie, it was like visual over load, beautifully filmed, with a smart script. Batman was hardcore, the joker was sinister and gotham city was like nothing you would imagine from the past movies' portrayals. Two face's makeup would be rather frightening for young children, I'd recommend no one under 11 see this, I believe that the movie is just a little too mature as well. For everyone else it's worth the money to see in the theater! I'd kill to have seen it in IMAX

The movie really struck home... Heath Ledgers Performance as the Joker, was by far, the most top knotch performance of any actor or actress, and gave true Character to the role... it didn't feel as staged.
Christian Bale also showed a new side of Batman, bringing life to the struggles batman faced of Killing or Saving.
A Truly spectacular movie all around... I have seen it twice already... not for the underage viewer by any means.

My best review for a movie? Paying to see again! Ledger was better than Jack as Joker. But he also didn't overshadow Bale. I thought that it was a very even movie. Not enough Two Face, but there's always another movie.

It was a little confusing having two female actors play the same role. I actually thought Rachel Dawes moved to another city after Batman Begins conclusion. However the fact that it was a better female actor this time made up for the oversight. The interaction between Heath Ledger and Christian Bale was also great to watch. Perphaps Ledger is up for Oscar. Course it would be Post-Humous. Which is really the only detail required.

This movie is an incredible experience. Not once during the two and one half hours did I feel that the movie was too slow. Rather, I had to catch my breath in order to keep up with a fast paced, intelligent, and unpredictable adventure.
Many have praised Heath Ledger's performance. His performance is undoubtedly one that will never be forgotten. Just as great performances from Paul Newman, Cary Grant, Tom Hanks, Clint Eastwood, and others will always be remembered, Heath Ledger's final movie performance will remain timeless. There were too many small character aspects that Ledger employed to list, but taken together, he created a character, though based on a graphic novella, was completely human.

I am a "wait 'til it comes out on DVD" movie watcher. But I have to say that Dark Knight was worth the expense and hassle of going to the theater.
Christian Bale is the quintessential Batman...hands down. Intense, understated, and commanding, no one has done the role better. Heath Ledger's jaw-dropping performance as the Joker will be his legacy.
The story sequencing was great, and even though Hollywood does stray from the original Batman story line, it is totally forgivable. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire film.
Long live the Dark Knight!!!

This action packed movie kept you on your toes! The entire audience never moved an inch throughout the whole movie. It is basically two movies put into one is my opinion. There are definitely surprises that will catch you off guard. Also Heath Ledger did more than an amazing job, I could not believe his skill in this movie. He did even better than Nicholson even though I cannot believe I am saying that. Great movie, did not have 1 disappointment.

I was skeptical about another batman movie. This one is the best yet. It had all the awesome gadgets and thrill to it.
Heath Ledger was the highlight of this movie. He played the best role of his life in this film.

I wanted to give this a 4.5 or 4.8 because this really was an exceptional movie, but it did have a few flaws in the story line, and could have used more joker and a little less batman. They would not allow me to rate with decimals, so I unwillingly gave it a 4. Stylistically this movie was phenomenal I was enticed and and entranced by this film. It had a great pace even though it was a really long film and the characters were developed well.

The movie was by far the best installment in the Batman series. For the length of time, it kept the pace up constantly without slowing down. The addition of Two Face towards the end really caught me off guard. Especially when I thought the movie was going to be over ten minutes before that.

Like everyone's heard already, the acting is great, the action is well timed and not over done, and the storyline is solid. I recommend to everyone I talk to go see it before someone accidently spoils it for you. There are enough twists to keep you guessing and interested.
