2 hours and 30 minutes of greatness, better that the first. I'd say that is an understatement and this movie is underrated if anything. GREAT EFFECT, an unpredictable plot and the Role of joker was played perfectly, not just saying that in respect of his death, I mean the role is played flawlessly. There is lots more to be said about this movie.

The experience from purchasing "advance" tickets online thru roll of the credits was indescribable. The 12:01 a.m. audience was anxious and a little rowdy but once the auditorium darkened and movie started it was dead silence and applause with standing ovation afterwards. You felt as if it were live theatre. Simply stated it as "Amazing" and leaves you wanting more. RIP Heath Ledger, I hope there are Oscars in heaven

I wasn't sure what to make of Heath Ledger's potential for his role, wondering if he'd fallen victim to typecasting (hadn't seen Brokeback Mountain), and having to follow Jack Nicholson to boot. I didn't even recognize him behind the face paint in this film. His performance was absolutely magnetic, and the story thrived because he was part of it, giving great tension opposite Christian Bale's Batman. There are plenty of plot twists, and a great cast (some of whom you don't see in the trailers). The action scenes and special effects are outstanding, but the drama is definitely carried by the quality of the acting.

I thought the Heath Ledger Oscar buzz was only because of his untimely death. I mean, how could a Joker portrayal be that great? I was wrong! Awesome movie. Riveting performance.2 1/2 hours long, but you will never look at your watch. You'll wish it was another hour long! Best superhero movie ever made. Christian Bale is clearly the best Batman yet....conflicted, athletic, and intense; with just enough comic relief. He is the 007 of superheroes. A must see!!

If I had to choose, I might pick IronMan over The Dark Knight. Minimum age is 12 (yeah, I'm talking to the lovely people who brought a 6 year old to sit behind me and kick my chair). Great acting of course. This gets a bit long.

This movie began to impress the moment the film started rolling. Not only were the special effects through the roof, but the stunts and the quality of character portrayal were incredibly well done. I did not see the 1st one before watching "The Dark Knight" and do regret it BUT this one was awesome not just the effects but the story behind it all. The thrill, romance and excitiment was just great. I got home at 12 midnight and had to see the 1st movie

I loved Batman Begins and was afraid that the sequel wouldn't measure up. I'm so happy I was wrong. All of the action sequences were done beautifully and without a ridiculous amount blood and gore. Great job! I will definately go see this one again!

This was a very intense and powerful movie. Heath Ledger's performance was stellar. He played the perfect sociopath: apathetic, ruthless, and never thinks about his actions. The feeling of helplessness both from the citizens of Gotham and from Bruce Wayne are palpable while watching this film. Although this movie is a wonderful adventure for adults, it is not at all appropriate for children. I would not recommend parents bring any children under 13 to see this film. There are some graphic images and intense scenes that are frightening to young children. There was a five-year-old seated behind me who began crying very early on in the film and spent the rest of the movie sitting in his mother's lap with his ears covered and his head buried.

Well, there's been a lot of media attention around this movie, and I have to say...duh! The reason it is rated PG 13 is because it is not a family movie. That does not make it a BAD MOVIE (actually I thought it was pretty good, a little over-the-top gruesome in a couple spots), it just means you should consider a different title if you have your 10-year old in tow. But hey, isn't that what the PG 13 told you anyway?

The movie was excellent. The plot was clever and involving. The acting phenomenal. I did have a problem with some of the camera work. It made the action hard to follow at times. This is NOT a movie for children under 12. It has graphic violence.

Going into the movie knowing about Ledger taking on the role as the Joker I didn't expect how he would be able to play the character. Would he be like Cesar Romero in the 60's or maybe like Jack Nicholson in Burton's portrayal of the character. Heath goes way beyond his successors. Dark Knight is by far the best Batman yet.
