I've read all the books, seen all the movies, and this one has risen to the occasion! It placates us readers by closely following the book far more than any other movie adaptation. (Hmmm, does it leave us wanting more "extras" that we previously complained about?) Definitely doesn't let you leave on a happy note and definitely makes you want the next movie. A hint at the Gringott's plan would have made me feel more hopeful. If you haven't read the books, you might be confused...good enough reason to get busy reading!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

8 of us went together to see the 3D version - ages 13 thru 51 - and we all loved it. "Epic," as the 16 year olds said. This movie sets a whole new standard that will be tough for others to live up to!
If I had to choose, I might pick IronMan over The Dark Knight. Minimum age is 12 (yeah, I'm talking to the lovely people who brought a 6 year old to sit behind me and kick my chair). Great acting of course. This gets a bit long.
