This movie was so intense I left the theater with my stomach in knots! Heath Ledger's performance was so good I have to keep reminding myself that I'm watching an actor and not actually watching the real Joker. Teamed with great camera work and awesome images this movie was easily the best movie of the summer and my personal favorite movie at this point!

i put batman begins on the very top of my favorite movies of all time list a little over 3 years ago.. after eagerly awaiting the dark knight i'd say the wait is well worth it! this movie is pretty awesome. it's different than begins though and has an even darker feel to it, which works. my only somewhat minor quip is that the last half an hour could have been pretty much cutout altogether. i felt like it got extremely sloppy towards the end and there were about 2 or 3 points in the film where it could have ended. no matter, i think the first 2 hours are flawless!! 2 hours of a perfect movie is rare, and that alone puts the dark knight on top of my favorite movies of all time!

I must say that this was a well made movie. Heath Ledger's performance was excellent and defintely beliveable! I was amazed at the energy he put in to his character. This was truly a great film to remember him by- A must see!!

This was one of the best movies i have seen in years. My husband and i went to see it 2 times and i bet we will see it at least once more before it leaves theaters. I never thought anyone could live up to Jack Nickolsons role as the joker, but Heath certainly surpassed him. There was definatly a sense of realism there. Too bad he didn't live long enough to do a sequel. He is very missed!!

Initially, I wasn't sure I wanted to see this movie. Something about seeing Heath Ledger's last movie seemed a bit macabre for my taste, but curiosity got the best of me. And I am SO glad it did!
This movie was a thrill ride from start to finish. The special effects were outstanding, Christian Bale was just as good in this movie as the last, and the wonderful use of veteran actors Michael Cain and Morgan Freeman was great to see. Maggie Gyllenhaal's portrayal of Rachel was much more than a one dimensional comic book heroin, and Aaron Eckhart was so convincing as the benevolent Harvey Dent that it made his transition to Two Face that much more menacing.
Then there was Heath Ledger. I've already heard Oscar rumblings and quite frankly, a nomination would be completely deserved. Ledger's Joker was so psychotically demented and his performance so committed, I didn't once think about the tragedy of his death. All I could see was the complete twistedness of the character.
This is defnitely NOT a movie for kids under 12. I'm going to let my 12 year old daughter go, but would not even consider taking my 8 year old. Even for kids 12 or 13, I would suggest parents see the movie first and make your own decision. While the graphic violence is more suggested than actually visible, the suggestions are intense and terrifying.
Great movie! See it in the theater!!!

Before I begin, let me explain something... If I go into a movie with high expectations, I am almost always dissapointed. And seeing as "Batman Begins" was one of my favorite movies of all time, I had VERY high expectations for "The Dark Knight." So in that light, it is nothing short of extraordinary that I LOVED this movie. The acting is tremendous - Bale delivers another brilliant performance, and Ledger brings the Joker to life in an amazing way; "creepy" doesn't even begin to describe it. But not only is the acting superb, the plot is anything but conventional. I never could have predicted the turns that the story would take, and the whole thing left me begging for the release of the third movie. "The Dark Knight" easily makes my list of favorites, and has set itself up as a strong competitor for my personal designation as best-of-all-time.

Greatest movie I've ever seen. Acting, cinematography, storytelling was all amazing. Never have I seen a comic book movie that portrayed all of its elements so accurately. It captures Batman's internal struggle with the darkness he embodies perfectly. Villians were amazing, Heath Ledger stole the show, and I suspect he will be recieving the first post-humous oscar since the 70s. I'd recommend this movie to everybody, comic book fan or not. I haven't left a movie theater so satisfied in as long as I can remember.

It was really awesome!!! I loved the movie. The Dark Knight beats out any movie this summer...for sure. Also the joker was freaking sweet! Heath Ledger did amazing job! He so deserves an award for his role. No one could beat him in playing the joker....I say the joker was the star of the moive. It was packed with loads of action and will keep you on the edge of your seat. because while watching the movie I seen people move on the edge of their seats and so I did. LOVED IT!!!!! I so want to go watch it again!
and I already recommend to my friends and you should so go and see it. it was worth my money.

I don't go to movies very often or even get excited about upcoming movies - but this one sparked my interest! It did seem to be a little long at times (granted it was 2 1/2 hours), but was a great movie overall. Worth the $10.25 for a ticket.

This was the one movie I was looking forward to this summer and it did not disappoint. With so much hype and so many GREAT reviews, I was expecting a LOT and got my money's worth. This movie was fabulous and I would recommend it to anyone that asks. Seeing Batman Begins is not a prerequisite, but it may make it somewhat more enjoyable for the casual fan. For all the diehards, I'm sure you've already seen it at least once!

From the time I heard the first soundbite, then saw the first trailer, I knew this movie was gonna be INSANELY great!
Christopher Nolan showed true brilliance in casting Heath Ledger as the Joker! I was gobsmacked when I saw the first photo of Heath in Joker makeup, and hyperventilated when I saw the trailer! Guess what? The movie did not disappoint!
Some are saying this is not a family-friendly movie...DUH! It is rated PG-13 for a reason... This is not a comic book movie for little kids! But most 13-year-olds and up will LOVE it!
It is dark (note the title), sinister, scary, intelligent, fast, detailed...everything a movie of it's kind should be.
I've seen it twice, and will be seeing it again this weekend on the IMAX... CAN'T WAIT!!!

They had better keep it going. After a pretty decent remake, "The Dark Night" maintains the intensity level of its new beginning with high action, plot twists, and few down moments; a difficult achievement for a movie over 2 hours long. All that can be said is that there has to be another one in this new series of Batman!

Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker is superb, setting a new standard for movie villians. This movie continues to develop the character of Bruce Wayne, the lessons learned from the actions of Batman will follow him for the rest of his life. The back and forth between the Joker, Batman and Harvey Dent is thought provoking. Who is the real vigilante, and who is on the side of good? Who understands mankind better? What will be the ultimate path of Gotham city? Anybody walking in with preconceptions will have them questioned.

that was one of the gretaest movies I have ever seen. if you thought the plot for the first one had any holes in the plot, this one has none. If you thought that the twist in the first movie was clever or that the story line was unpredictable, it is nothing compared to this. Heath Ledger is incredible. They are all incredible. This movie is amazing. SEE it. Buy it. own it.

I was not really a Batman fanatic, I've seen most of the movies because someone else wanted to. The Batman movies from years past were aweful compared to what has been done recently with Batman Begins and now the Dark Knight. Christian Bale is definately the best Batman ever and Heath Ledger was the most amazing Joker of any movie. I have already told everyone to see this movie and I will see it again and again.

AMAZING!!! The acting, special effects, script, editing and the IMAX experience!!! I highly recommend it and would see it again. Heath delivered an Oscar worthy performance. The Joker's darkness must have resonated with the pain he was experiencing in his own life. It certainly came through in his portrayal. Christian Bale was incredible as Batman/Bruce Wayne again. Maggie showed much more emotion than the hardly believable Katie Holmes in the previous version. Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman & Aaron Eckhart raised the bar for action films. Kuddos to Nolan bringing the "Dark Knight" back to life!!
