What is amazing about this movie is not just the great acting between all the characters, but the fact that it manages to captivate and satisfy by avoiding "dramatic pauses". The pacing is perfect and tasteful. Some folks fell asleep due to the 2.5 Hours of time, but you really need to engage yourself into the lines and action of the movie... besides, the entertainment of this movie is far more sophisticated than your average action film.

The Dark Knight, while a great movie, doesn't quite match up to Batman Begins. The performances are all great, but the story meanders a little. My biggest complaint is that Gotham City looks like a totally different city from the Gotham of Batman Begins. Still absolutely worth seeing - especially on the big screen.

amazing follow up, batman begins got me hooked, and dark knight has kept me going. christian bale, heath ledger and michael caine were awesome. i wish they couldve retained katie holmes as rachel, maggie gylenhaal kind of sucks as her. overall an amazing movie

Heath Ledger... WOW you could not ask for a better performance as THE JOKER! this movie was incredible. Definitely the best movie of the summer by far... I will be going to see this again for sure! This movie has it all. Christian Bale did an outstanding job as BATMAN. This is a must see movie!

Movie was entertaining the entire way through. Unlike previous Batman movies this movie had a sense of realism, making it more thrilling and also somewhat scary. Heath Ledger as the joker is quite possible one of the best movie villans I have ever seen.

The Dark Knight is a great movie. Not a great comic book movie, whick it is, but it surpasses the genre and like through the theme of the movie, becomes something greater then itself. It surpasses the boundries of comicfandom, and becomes an epic film that is trully amazing. Everything from the music, to the direction by Christopher Nolan, to the writing, to superb acting not only from Heath Ledger, but many in the cast, this is a movie event to not be missed. Simply put, this was an amazing film that can stand with some of the best of them.

The Joker wasn't nearly as ruthless as expected. In the original comic book, he was heartless and killed everyone himself, just for fun. Heath Ledger's acting was o.k. but not great. Christian Bales was horrific. Morgan Freeman and Micheal Cane did great acting as usual. The rest of the cast seemed like they were going through the motions. The storyline was just utterly awful. I almost left 45 mins. into it. Overall this movie was a bust to me.

As far as comic to screen adaptions go, well this one could very well take the top. Excellent performances by all actors (my favorite beging that of the Joker played by the late Heath Ledger). I highly reccomend this movie.

After Beginnings, I had very high hopes for its inevitable follow-up regarding the Joker - and this movie did not disappoint. Once again, the near plausibility of the story line is captivating and carries the same dark tone as the previous movie. The acting was overall phenomenal, the effects were great, and the story wove everything together neatly with some actually deep moral themes. Without giving any spoilers, I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good movie!

Glad to see the same characters from Batman Begins in Dark Knight. I was blown away by this movie and The Joker, Heath Ledger, made this movie an even better hit. Batman was even better with planning and plotting his vigilancy by using his brains and power.

Excellent cast of baddies all around, most of which I want to say outshine The Dark Knight himself. Horrible shame that Ledger will not be back, because he gave such a powerful performance - he made me scared of Joker.
Even Eckhart sells the whole "good people can turn bad" routine beautifully. I highly recommend this movie in theater just to see how dangerous the villains of Gotham are.

Ledger's Joker definitely made this movie, irregardless of the real-world tragedy surrounding the movie. Bale's portrayal of Batman still leaves something to be desired, and his 'Batman voice' is especially distracting, but this is more than made up for by a good story and a great villain. The movie seems to hang a bit at the end, and the whole development and breakdown of Dent was a lot to fit in, although Nolan did a pretty good job of it. All in all a great movie, though; I'm going to see it again this weekend.

I cannot tell you how magical this movie is. I love how the director and writers are starting to write from a more realistic point of view. The stars from Batman Beginnings are consistent. Heath Ledger delivers the best adaptation of The Joker. After watching the midnight screening every audience member couldn't wait to see The Dark Knight again today. As for me I purchased tickets for another showing today.

Not for children under the age of 13 but a definite see for any BatMan fan. Christian Bale stayed true to the Batman Character Michael Keaton created. Heath Ledger has truly outdone himself in this film and is his finest character portrayal. There is no way to compare this film to the Michael Keaton / Jack Nicholson version. Although Jack's portrayal of the Joker was quite entertaining, Heath's portrayal was very believable and completely drew the viewers emotions into his dimentia. The plot does seem to get lost in the action and is at times difficult to follow but I would recommend this film to all.

Lately i've been more than disappointed with the movies that have been coming out, i've basically stopped going to the movies, but dark knight has renewed my hope in movies.... heath ledger is incredible as the joker, christian bale could never dissappoint, and thank god, maggie gyllenhaal has replaced katie holmes (not very surprising that she was played a muchhhh better rachel)... batman begins was a great movie, the dark knight is legendary.

Ok, so, Batman The Dark Knight is simply awesome. From the very beginning, you are sitting on the edge of your seat. The setting of the movie is perfect and fits great. All of the actors did super good, and Heath Ledger played the Joker oh so well. Ever since I was a little kid, Batman has been my favorite superhero and I think this is possibly the best Batman movie EVER! Go see it! I will probably see it 5 more times in theaters.
