The dark knight is a very intriguing movie especially from the start the battles break out and batman saves the day. There was alot of drama but batman had to choose his own destiny and made the right choice. Heath Ledger played a great joker much more like a real joker from the comics. Overall the movie was great definitely passed my expectations however i did not really like the fact that in batman begins they should a whole portrayal of how Bruce became batman yet they did not show how the joker became the joker, only two face.

This movie was perfection. The only thing I'm upset about is that Heath Ledger will not be able to play Joker in the next movie. Dark Knight lives up to and goes above and beyond its hype. This movie is NOT for children under 13!!!

I've always been a big fan of batman and of course anything with the batman and the joker in it going head to head aught be good right? But this movie absolutely blew me away. Some of the sick jokes and ideas that the joker played were just that sick and in a twisted sorta way, cool and funny. Batman once again doesn't seize to amaze. I highly recommend this movie cause even though I'm limited to only a 5 star rating id give this movie a ten. It is hands down the best movie I've ever seen.

There isn't much to say as this film is already hyped up to full potential. Lets just say it lives up to the hype, AND MORE. Amazing piece of work. It's such a damn shame Heath passed on us because this is one of the most brilliant character works I've ever seen in a movie. Stop reading reviews and go see the movie already, you wont regret it.

I went to the midnight showing of this movie and it was the best movie I have seen in a very long time. Characters were well developed especially The Joker and also seeing one of the characters develop into another bad guy from the comics! Very suspenseful and I would go to it again in less than a heartbeat!!!

Do not expect your average superhero movie and plot. This is a very intelligent and dark movie. You are on the edge of your seat the whole time.There is enough explosion and gunfire to make it a summer blockbuster, but this movie is a real "crime" story with an amazing storyline. The Dark Knight is a must see.

I thought the Dark Knight more than surpassed my expectations as a sequel. It was put together very nicely and the acting was incredible. I do however not like how Katie Holmes wasnt the actress for Rachel. Maggie Gyllenhaal just was not the kind of girl I pictured in my mind to be Rachel, and why change actresses anyway?

It was everything that I expected it to be, and more. It was kinda of long...and it seemed to me that they could have made it more around an hour and a half and then made another really good sequel. But instead I think that they went a little too long, and therefore making a could be great sequel into a a possible horrible third movie.

The movie was excellent! There will never be a better actor to play the Joker than Heath Ledger! The overall movie was great and left the end open for a sequel, hopefully, just as good and with the same actors that made this movie what it is, EXCELLENT! This is a must see!

I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone. Go see this movie if you are a lover of the Batman movies, a fan of Heath Ledger, or a movie fan. This was an excellent movie and I can't wait to see it again.

Even having watched the cartoons growing up, as well as the original Tim Burton movies, I have to say that I prefer the darker, more psychologically in depth version that Nolan has created. I can't say enough about Heath Ledger's performance... He gave me chills that I could not shake off. He created a legendary version of the Joker that I do not believe can be matched. With the thought that this role could've been what led to his death, I sincerely wish the best for the other actors channeling these dark and highly disturbed characters.

This is definitely my favorite superhero movie of all time, and probably in my top five favorite movies of all time. None of the actors were bad, Ledger was amazing, definitely worthy of an oscar nomination. The story was long, yes, but it was worth it, and never dragged. Wow, I already want to see it again.

This movie was hyped up to me so I was expecting to be disappointed in some way. It was just the opposite. The Dark Knight is one of the best movies I have ever seen!! Oscar performances from the actors but especially Heath Ledger. I was not only captivated by The Joker during the movie but afterwards it was all that me, my husband and son could talk about.
Note for parents: My son is 15 and handled the movie just fine. However, although the movie was not "bloody" it had violence that made me squirm. Little children should sit this one out (IMO).
I predict oscars for Heath Ledger and for Christopher Nolan.
GREAT MOVIE - BRAVO!!!

I was afraid that I would fall asleep being that I attended the 12:01 show. (I was the stay at home mom that took a group of teens) It was action packed from start to finish. There were enough surprises that it did not become predictable. The ending was not what I expected, but it did leave the story line open for another great Batman movie.
I would recommend this movie to moviegoers of all ages.

In my theater the seats were completely filled, including the one next to me with a reveller dressed in a bat costume. Those 12:00 midnight shows can be strange.
In spite of a few plot elements that don't really mature, this movie falls into the "must see a second time" category.
We are all a product of our childhoods to a certain extent, and Bruce Wayne and the Joker had glaringly large childhood traumas which helped form their characters. I was intrigued by the complexity that Ledger brought to his Joker, his malevolent spirit and his passion for chaos.
Even so, I go for the supporting roles as much as the leads. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman help bolster the ensemble and the technology is almost a character itself.
The audience contributed just the right gasp here and "Wow" there, confirming my own emotional responses.
There were definately times, though, when I felt I was crossing over to the dark side ... meaning that I had glimpses of empathy for they wrong type of character. I think that the script does this intentionally, giving some ambiguity to the whole 'good versus evil' theme.

I tend to find something wrong with every movie I watch. And I can honestly say that there was not a single thing I disliked about this movie. It is the best movie I have seen in a long time. I definitely recommend that you see this movie. If you are easily scared or don't like violence, you might not want to see it.

I thought it was a really good movie, but I wanted to see more of how the joker is in the comics...There was absolutely NO laughing gas. The movie kind of lacked on gadgets or props. The joker didn't laugh enough or have little gags like in the comics. But overall it was a good movie but I wouldn't say excellent.

I'm not that much of a movie watcher, but I've always been a fan of the Batman movies. When I saw the midnight showing of Batman, I couldn't believe it. The entire thing was amazing. It is a movie the totally lived up to all the hype behind it. Heath Ledger had to play the best Joker ever and he was probably the most entertaining out of the whole movie.
