The title "The Dark Knight" leaves a questionable statement to what the movie is about. The movie is visually stunning, and is beautiful throughout every scene. It leaves the audience wanting more. This film also tops every other Batman movie. This brings Batman to life throughout color and contrast. Every other Batman movie is dark and never shows daylight, but "The Dark Knight" demolishes that image. This film is amazing, and deserves five stars!

I more than enjoyed this movie. This was the best movie i have seen in i don't know how long. It had so many levels to it, i was intrigued the whole time i was watching it. It got me to think about life, what would i do in those situations, and what defines a hero. Health Ledger did such an AMAZING job at the joker i am deeply saddened that he is no longer able to produce anymore incredible roles. He will be very much missed. He and this movie deserve MAJOR recognition...

I'm a huge Christian Bale fan so I'm already predisposed to like any movie he's in. The Dark Knight was amazing -- heart pounding and exciting from beginning to end. My only disappointment was the major plot point (I won't ruin the movie for others). Heath Ledger is indescribably good and that makes his death that much more of a loss - what an amazing career this young man had ahead of him. One of the great summer blockbusters!!

If Batman Begins was a character study on Bruce Wayne, Dark Knight is a character study on the Joker and Harvey Dent. This movie just doesn't slow down at all.

pros: beautiful cinematography. fantastic fight & explosion scenes. great performances by the cast as they were written.
cons: ledger's "ticks" & voice inflections were distracting. movie was too long. not enough story from lulls in script
i was incredibly anxious to see this after LOVING the first installment & left bitterly disappointed. the audience in my sold-out theater wasn't cheering or "high-fiving" on leaving this one either as they were with similar films

By far the best of any big-screen Batman movies. Heath Ledger's performance is certainly worth posthumous Oscar consideration. The cinematography was spectacular. The plot was a bit shaky in spots and it seem to drag in places. All in all, a visual orgy for the eyes! A-

Of all the Batman movies this one is by far the best. Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker. This is the best movie of his career. He has made his fans proud.

I love how I was never bored or yawning. It was literally action packed from beginning to end. I also loved how they incorporated old characters like Joker and 2 Faced. So awesome and completely satisfied. The reviews did the movie no justice.

Absolutely brilliant. Nothing shor of a masterpiece in crime, terror, justice and philosophical investigation into all of the above. Heath Ledgers performance is spot on and the story is one of the finest batman stories in a long time.

This movie was unbelievable. Just as good if not better than Batman Begins. Christian Bale is very easy on the eyes, and Aaron Eckhart is no slouch either. Heath Ledger was magnificent as The Joker. He made you believe he was a real wacko! Everyone was terrific in their roles and after seeing it on the first day it came out I am going back with friends to see it again!
Don't miss this one! Full of action and suspense.

Heath Ledger is Amazing in his role as the joker, his maniacal character is haunting long after the credits have ended.
The rest of the movie is okay...and in parts it's rather dragging. Twice towards the end I thought the movie was over twice before it actually ended, and the real ending seemed too contrived and not true to the rest of the movie. The "Batman Voice" also became rather grating as the movie went along.
Still have to recommend this movie because of the superb job done by Mr. Ledger, his legacy will certainly live on in this role and will also insure that coulrophobia affects the new generation who might not have experienced It.

This movie is made all the more creepy and frightening by the fact that playing the Joker drove Heath Ledger to suicide. The Joker is really the focus of the film, Christian Bale barely seems to be in it. Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent is amazing, as are the special effects. I loved this movie but it was so intense that I don't think I will be able to watch it again for months.

I went and watched this movie on July 18th just because of so much hype that it created the very first day that this is movie of this year. This movie is fairly decent and some of the action scenes are fantastic. But overall, I wouldn't say that this is movie of the year but a good movie that you need to watch for sure.

This movie was definitely good, Heath Ledger was unbelievable as the Joker and Maggie and Christian shone well as usual. The only flaw is the ending, which goes on for way too long and the unnecessary amounts of twists. The movie should have just ended with the birth of Two Face, which would have been an incredible and astounding cliffhanger. However it doesn't, it carries on for another thirty minutes and follows his death. At this point the movie loses its momentum and falters drastically. The Joker becomes annoying rather than thrilling and the elaborate killings and robberies, boring. I say if they had just cut it a little bit shorter it would have been a perfect movie. But all in all it was still great and a definite must for the Superhero Fanatic.

The theater gave it a standing ovation, and everyone waited for Heath's name to appear and we all cheered.
It was one of the best movies Ive seen- by far, in a long long time.
Heath's performance was unbelievable. He reinvented the joker- and he for sure blew Jack's performance out of the water.
Everyone else did an amazing job, but I was waiting for Heath to come back on screen when he wasn't there. He stole the movie, thats for sure.
It is so bittersweet, to see him in this movie- but everyone must go. To pay respects to an amazing actor, and see his career -high performance. Honestly, I'd be super surprised if he doesn't get an academy award- or at least a nomination.
Bravo Heath.
RIP.

This Batman was Awesome!! I highly recommend anyone to see it. Ledger deserves an award for his job as the Joker. HE IS WHAT MADE THIS MOVIE!! It was worth the wait in line to see it. I wish I could have seen it in Imax.
