This movie does not disappoint. Heath Ledger's performance is Oscar worthy as
was Aaron Eckhardt. This movie does has
it's share of violence, which is needed to showcase the darkest of the Joker. I have seen this movie over 10 times and keep going back for more. If Ledger doesn't win the Best Actor Oscar ..... I will never watch the Oscar's again.

One of the most amazeing movies I have ever seen! The acting was next to perfect and the Joker was incedible. You must see this movie. In fact if you go to the movies again and you havent seen this yet, forget what you were going to watch and see this.

Heath Ledger's flawless portrayal of The Joker has raised the bar for all villains in comic adaptations. Watch him when he responds to being called crazy: it's chilling and sells him for the rest of the movie.
Eckhart nails his role as Harvey Dent and the Good Boy Lost All character.
By far the best Alfred/Bruce partnering I could have hoped for. Caine delivers the father figure and reality slap Bruce Wayne needs to push on, with ease.
Oldman simply is Gordon. Period.
Bale plays suitableness very well, and you have to pay attention to him pretending to be Bruce Wayne pretending not to be Batman.
I've seen this movie six times but - next - I can't wait to see the new suit handle... Cats. ;-)

I loved the movie. I actually disliked Batman Begins and thought it was too dark for my taste. This was untill someone told me that these movies are not connected to the original Batman movies. For some reason, I thought these were the prequels and did not understand them. Now I know, I totally get it and they are great! Duh for me... I guess I was the only one that didn't realize that. :)
Great movie, would see it again, and totally would recommend to others.

Batman Begins was the best superhero movie ever, partly because it restored the franchise's darkness. The writing and direction for Dark Knight was over-the-top, but not because of its villain.
See it, but the characters and plot line are less intriguing than BB. That must be the price for the frightening Heath Ledger, as the most memorable madman since Jack Nicholson (The Shining).
Aaron Eckhardt was solid, but the rest had little room to move (including Christian Bale). There was witty and insightful dialog, but it seemed to be from The Joker. TDK is The Joker movie that (thankfully) annihilates Jack Nicholson's Joker, and not the BB followup I expected. But that's my problem, not yours.

Definitely a unique twist to the usual storyline, but a fine one. Ledger's performance was awesome. The not-so-goody-good character of Bruce Wayne was also a refreshing change from the norm.

This movie was awesome. All of the actors did a superb job playing the characters. I was a little hesitant when Maggie Gyllenhaal was brought in to play Rachel Dawes but she did a wonderful job. And this was definitely one of Heath Ledger's best performances. A+ movie!

Excellent from start to finish. Great performances. Maggie Gyllenhall is WAY better than Mrs Cruise. Aaron Eckhardt was so good going from crime fighting DA to psycho. Movie was long but I was sad to see it over. Bale and Freeman were superb, again, as was Michael Caine.
Joker- Ledger was the best Joker ever- sorry, Jack. Nicholson's Joker just seemed angry compared to the complete lack of sanity presented by Ledger's Joker.
Lots of gun violence and death. Not a movie I would take a young child to.

I work at the movie theater, and some of you people are wack, this movie was awesome the deep dark place that Heath Ledger went into to play the joker was amazing, he should get an Oscar for his role, and I can't belive that some people actually didn't like this movie it was full of action and it lived up to the hype that it got before it was released, All in all I have seen this movie too many times to count and it seems to get better every time. I love Heath Ledger as the Joker it's ashame ir was his last role but he went out with a bang, I love when he says "Do I look like a guy with a plan, I'm a dog chasing cars I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it I just do things". Amazing : ) ....

I am not a big batman fan, but this was a very good movie. Ledger's acting is incredible and you will always think of him as the Joker as you would remember Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter.

This movie was very entertaining, but it happened to be too long and being they rated it PG-13 it seems a lot was left out. Aaron Eckhart is a great actor, but he didn't fit the role as two-face, but overall a good movie thanks to Christian Bale and Heath Ledger.

Yes, Heath Ledger did a great job, but unfortunately it didn't help the fact that this was a bad movie. It was too long, Batman's voice was too deep (when he was in character) and "the prisoner's dilema" (making the victime choose his own outcome) was too overdone. The fact that this movie has done so well financially goes to show how easy it has become to please the masses and just how LOW our IQ in the US is. I give it a C-

This was an amazing movie. I love the way Ledger brought the Joker to a more real bad guy, not a comic book version. I liked how it was super intense without having to show the actual violent acts. I need to see this movie again!

I typically don't like action movies, but I was thoroughly impressed. I went in with my doubts since I hate hyped-up movies. This definitely well-surpassed my expectations. Let's just hope the Oscar critics get it right this time and award Heath Ledger the Best Actor.

This movie held my attention for the duration. Nothing earth shattering, but a good time was had by all. Heath Ledger's performance is nothing short of remarkable. Recommended if you like action and funny books.

I loved this movie. I have seen all of the Batman series but did not ever read the comics, so I do not know the validity of the story but I think Christian Bale is the best Batman of them all. The story got a little long around the death of his love interest and the 2 face character could of had a longer role but in all I loved it! Bring on the next one. Did anyone think Christian Bale needed about 20 more pounds? He looked almost gaunt....

I wasn't too impressed with Batman Begins to begin with, but The Dark Knight was a total letdown. About the only good thing about it was the special effects. I think the only reasons this movie was not rated 'R' was because the blood and gore was not shown on camera and there as no profanity (miraculously). Jack Nicholson and Tommy Lee Jones play a better Joker and Two-Face respectively. I'll stick with the other 4 movies (Val Kilmer et al). They actually had a legitimate plot with believable villains.
