This movie was amazing. This one, along with Batman Begins, does much more justice to the comic books. It's impossible to find any trace of Heath Ledger (RIP) in the Joker. Every little nuance, movement, ism, is The Joker's. Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman were all fantastic. Christian Bale and Maggie Gyllenhall were both great. Maggie played a gutsier Rachel and Katie Holmes did, I think. Aaron was pretty good as Harvey, I don't care much for him as an actor so I may be biased, but I could have done with a little more feeling from him. The Two-Face transitition seemed a little forced. Watching Heath encourage that transition, however, was amazing :)
Best movie I've seen in ages! If you like comic book movies you'll love this! Even if you don't, you'll love this!

I cant remember the last time I was as satisfied with a movie after watching it as much as I was excited about seeing it. Dont wear socks if you go see this movie cause once the Joker shows up they will be blown off your feet.

I was very excited to see this movie but was a little afraid that all the hype might have raised my expectations too high. Fortunately, I was proven completely wrong, THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME. Definitely one of the best films I have ever seen. However, even though I would recommend this all around, you may not enjoy it as much if you are looking for a more light-hearted movie. The Dark Knight is just that, dark, gritty, and realistic.

Simply put. The plot, the effects, the acting. This movie really took every element. I was so impressed. Heath Ledger did a great job whether or not he has passed. Believe or not I actually preferred Maggie Gyllenhaal over Katie Holmes. It's long, but I really enjoyed every minute of it, and now I actually crave another Batman movie.

Action, adventure, comedy, drama...this movie has it all. It is the best superhero movie I have ever seen, and one of the best movies I have ever seen. Heath Ledger (he made the movie)was absolutely amazing in the role of the Joker, academy award worthy. GO SEE IT!

90 minutes into THE DARK KNIGHT I was ready to proclaim it the best movie ever. However, the movie had another 60 minutes to go. And in that 60 minutes, the movie went from great to borderline good. The Joker was a great villain, and was quite sufficient for this movie. Alas, the writers felt they needed to introduce another bad guy, which led to a drawn out ending and a watered down climax.
Definitely see this movie on the big screen, but savor the first 90 minutes as it is pretty much all down hill from there.

Batman Begins got it right, but this movie pounded it in. For the first time, there is a motion depiction of Batman (and the Joker) in the manner consistent with the comics. Leger's performance as the Joker is unprecedented and worthy of an Oscar. His character kept me on edge during every one of his scenes, and he was a true villain worthy of being Batman's nemesis. Bravo to The Dark Knight!

The movie lives up to its predecessor. At two and a half hours, you will be on the edge of you seat for most of it. Heath Ledger and Christian Bale both give excellent performances that do not disappoint. However, there are certain elements to the story that could have been done better or cleared up a little.

For anyone who saw the first Batman movie (Batman Begins) featuring Christian Bale, the second, the Dark Knight, is a must-see. It was quite different from Batman Begins, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
In my opinion, Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was by far the best...and I'm not just saying that because he's passed on. He truly made the Joker a menacing psychopath with just a touch of humor and sarcasm, and in the process, raised interesting questions about the lengths to which people will go to save themselves and their loved ones in a time of crisis.
This movie was exceptional and I would highly recommend it. It is not, however, for children--there are enough violent, psychologically intimidating scenes to scare most young children.

The Dark Night was AWESOME!!!! Heath Ledger's performance was astronomical. You can tell that he really put himself into this role. Unfortunately there are no twists at the end after the credits like most of us hoped but the movie was great and definately worth the wait. Make sure you see it and take your friends you don't want them to miss out on the best movie of the century because right now The Dark Knight in my book has taken the lead over Iron Man.

i walked into the theater with high expectations, but i was a bit weary on how well Heath Ledger played the joker. This movie exceeded my best expectations, and Heath Ledger did the joker PERFECTLY! He was the star of the movie!
