This movie started out slower than I expected. However, from there, it was a two hour thrill ride. This was easily one of the most enjoyable movie experiences I have had. I left the theater thinking I really got my money's worth, and that I would definitely pay to see it again! The only nitpick I had was Maggie Gyllenhaal. They should have cast someone else. Other than that, I couldn't complain about anything else. Go see it! You won't be sorry!!

I thought the movie was good, but not the groundbreaking performance that would redefine the genre. Ledger was good, but not spectacular. If he were still alive, the hype would not be there. See it. It's a good summer action flick with an attempt at some thought provoking moments, but honestly, there are better "question our humanity" movies out there.

Good movie! Heath Ledger played the role as the Joker extremely well. Batman's voice was a little too raspy and unconvincing, but I still loved the movie. Not the shortest movie in the world :) Make sure you're prepared to sit for a long time.

Some how even with the faux raspy voice Bale seems to think is Batman he can still pull off the character well. The movie is great, the plot intense, and Heath Ledger plays Joker better than I could have thought possible.

With the outstanding performance the late Heath Ledger put on as the "Joker" in the latest installment of the Batman Begins saga it leaves the audience gasping for more. The Dark Knight was not only well written, but the drama, suspense, and acting should all be commended. A must see!

It was the best. I loved Heath Ledger from Knights Tale but you couldn't even tell it was the same actor. He was great and it is a shame is was not around to see this great movie!

I was expecting to be let down after all the hype this movie has been getting, but, WOW! What a rollercoaster ride. I usually hate Christian Bale, I think he is a little too metrosexual to be a convincing playboy(Bruce Wayne) and too soft to be a super hero, but, as the movie implies, hero is a subjective word. Heath Ledgers' final performance is definatley Oscar stuff. He is a dark, demented ,psychotic marvel and drives this movie to its insane level.Gary Oldman hasn't done a good movie since Sid and Nancy and he shines here as well.
This movie should be top grossing movie of all time after all is said and done.

This was by far the best Batman ever and I have seen them all. It is an absolute shame that Heath is gone and won't reap the benefits of his preformance ! His portrail of the joker was outstanding. It showed the joker as a madman and not as a criminal as Jack Nicolson did. You could totally see the Heath"s joker was in it just because he could not because there was a payoff. Jack"s was masterful but in a more criminal frame of mind. Christian Bale was also impeccable as the bat. He gave him the human quality of a man rather than the sterile outlook of a hero. Even when he "crossed" the line with the listening device you did not feel he was off the mark. Michael Caine as always brings class and dignity to any role he plays as does Morgan Freeman. All other cast fell into place and together it brought the movie to life and was amazing. I would see it again and I already recommended it to everyone I know!

This movie rocked my socks off. The effects were amazing, the characters were well played, and the way it was shot was unbelieveable. I feel honored to be a part of the crowd that saw Heath Ledger's last and most amazing performance. He had never done a role like this, no one really has. The way he played the Joker was so unique and disturbing, I can't believe it. The only problem with this movie, people laughed when it wasn't called for. For some reason the clown make-up made them crack up when it was apparent that the sequence was meant for terror or suspense. But other than that, I saw no flaws with this movie. Oh yeah, Aaron Eckhart took the Two Face role that Tommy Lee Jones chewed up and spat out, and he made it respectable again. But he not only made it respectable, he made it a blockbuster performance. Well done Christopher Nolan. You took the fledgling Batman franchise and rescued it with Batman Begins. Now you have possibly topped Tim Burton's movies with The Dark Knight. I applaud you.

For a movie that was 2.5 hours long, there wasn't a slow moment in the movie! This is the best Batman movie ever produced. My expectations were high after the 1st picture Batman Begins, but they did the Dark Night even more justice in the sequel.
I wasn't sure if anyone could match Marvel Comics' Iron Man or Hulk success from earlier this summer, but DC Comics has shown us that the battle of the superhero movies is oficially on!
Christian Bale is by far the best actor to portray the Dark Night thus far and does not dissappoint in this role. The struggle he has to endure to find his worth in this film is unforgettable! Our hero has found it truly impossible to be just that... a hero. That said, Heath Ledger is truly a lost talent.
His performance has left me wanting to see more of this character, and if you've never seen him act, this is your chance to see the role that would have taken him to the next level!
Many will say Jack Nicholson was the best Joker, and he really was great in his role, no doubt, but the context of that movie and how it was produced kept him more in line with that directors vision of how far that character could go down the "psycho" path, making Jacks role more twisted funny than freaking psychopath madness as Heath was able to. This Joker is one tremendously sick man!!! They unleashed Heath in this role and he does not dissappoint.
I wasn't too happy with the switch of character playing Bruce's girlfriend, as Katie Holmes should have worked out a deal that kept her in the movie, but Ms. Gylenhal did her job well also. It's just that she's honestly not as attractive as Katie and she doesn't fit Bruce's or Harvey Dent's style or taste in women. It was Ms. Gylenhal's acting that made Rachel's character come back to life and easier to accept.
I am also amazed at how well they built in the Harvey Dent character from his beginnings all the way into his transition into "Two Face" as well. The way they eventually showed both sides of his face, one normal and one mangled was superb and looked very close to the comic and cartoon images many are familiar with. He was another driving force of the high level of emotion running through the entire movie.
This is one serious ride folks! It reminds me more of the Batman Rollercoaster at Magic Mountiain than a movie. It was that much fun! You have to see for yourself!
I may actually go see it again.
