The movie was easy to follow. Sometimes it simulated the cartoon theme and became too predictable. The special effects were outstanding. I liked the cloud/cliffhanger idea and have a feeling this will tie Rachael back into the next sequel.

Heather Ledger made this movie to my explanation. I hated the first batman that was made with Christian Bale. But the way the joker was played was perfect and the graphics for two face was really cool. Even though it is along movie it reached its peak very early in the time and was non-stop till the very end. Best movie of this summer no doubt.

Okay, fanboys. This is the movie we've all been waiting for. A brutal action movie with the profound moral quandaries of a Greek tragedy. You can almost hear Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman, and Alan Moore sighing in satisfaction. A+

The acting was talented, terrifying, and fantastic. The movie was long, but packed with good action scenes; I couldn't take my eyes away. I recommend this to any fan of the first Batman of this series, or even as a stand alone.

This movie was truly worth the price of admission and then some. You can see that a lot of work went into the finely polished final product that blasts its way onto the screen.
There is really something for everyone, and lots of action that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The intesity is unbelievable and the acting is incredible. Heath Ledger's Joker is truly an amazing performance that will be long remembered. I also greatly enjoyed the performances from this stellar cast. I thought that Christian Bale did a great job as the tormented caped crusader. He constantly struggles with making the right decision and doing what is right for the good of everyone. Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckart, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhall, all show us new depths of the supporting cast in comic book movies.
All in all the acting, suspense and cinematography make for a nailbiting, heart-stopping, darn good time.

If I could only put one movie on my must-see list this year, The Dark Knight would have to be it.
Even if you're not a die-hard Batman fan, this movie qualifies as "must-see" status based solely on Heath Ledger's performance alone (never mind that the plot, writing, acting, etc., are all beyond superb!).
Ledger evokes such a strong performance that every second he spent on the screen made me cringe in my seat -- and I gleefully enjoyed every second of it. It really is only after the movie ends that the tragedy of his final performance dawns on you. *sniff*
Aside from that, this is a solid movie -- the first Bat-flick to REALLY get to the heart of the characters of and the conflict between both Batman and the Joker. A solid screenplay, great setpieces, convincing special effects, and strong performances by Christian Bale, Michael Caine, the always-great Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart cement this film as one of the best films of the year -- nay, THE best film of the year.

My husband and I went to see the movie last night and we're definitely going again tonight. It was sooooooooo good. I thoght it might not live up to the hype built up around Heath Ledger but he was fantastic, Bale was great as Batman....the whole movie, AMAZING, action-packed. So good, a must see for everyone.

This movie was by far the best movie I've seen in quite a while. Heath Ledger's BEST performance. The way Ledger portrays the Joker is beyond all expectations. The movie isn't really as technical as the last one but still focus's on why Batman even exists and what makes him more than just a hero.

The joker was sick he was absolutely nuts,Ledger was amazing as him, Bale is still the best batman,of course , Caine was inspirational with his wit as Alfred,Eckhardt was a good Dent, and Morgan Freeman did what he does best play Morgan Freeman,and Maggie Gylenhhal had a great performance but she looks like a 12 year old boy ,

The movie the Dark Knight is a movie that appealed to me in almost every category. I would give it between 3 1/2 and 4 stars The way all of the carhacters appealed to the auidience was fantastic and overwellming. My favorite character was the joker. Heath Ledger played and excellent role and definitley deserves an Academy Award. That is my review

Easily the best movie of the summer, and possibly of the year. Heath Ledger is the stuff nightmares are made of, and could easily win a posthumous Oscar. Christian Bale takes Batman to a whole new level in a film that defines what Batman really is. Aaron Eckhart does not disappoint either and was a much bigger player in the course of events than the ads let on. A definite must see.
