After seeing Batman Begins (over and over and over again) I realize that it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. My opinion of The Dark Knight is mixed. There is alot of movie packed into 152 minutes. And being a Christian Bale fan, I'm a little upset that there isn't more of him in this movie. Everyone seems to have equal time between Batman, the Joker, Harvey Dent and Gordon. Having said that, I have to say that there is no denying that Heath Ledger commands the screen. He is absolutely terrific as the Joker. The best moments of the movie are during his scenes. Definitely worth the price of a movie ticket to see this performance.

This movie was great. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. And for a long movie, they kept me into it instead of getting bored. Heath Ledger was an amazing Joker...I don't know how they can make another one without him.

The Joker was AWESOME. More funny actually than I thought- given earlier spoilers.
Maggie Gyllenhaal can not act, and brought this movie down. I almost wanted Katie Holmes back (and I can't stand her!).
But there was just too much great is this movie to be brought down by one bad actor.

This was a decent film, IF you can get through of 2 1/2 hours of Christian Bail talking like his teeth were 4 inches to big for his mouth and grumbling under his breath.
This movie didn't really do it for me. However can anything really live up to the hype after having everyone say this is a "Masterpiece". Maybe I had unfair expectations, but it was no where near as fun to watch as the Marvel studios pictures: Ironman and The Incredible Hulk.

After watching Batman begins, I thought that Christian Bale had potential. I still thought Michael Keaton was the better Batman. Now, things have changed after this movie. This really is the BEST, MOST AWESOME Batman movie EVER! And can't forget about the Oscar-worthy performance of Joker by Heath Ledger.

Going into this movie, I have to admit I wasn't all to excited. Oh sure it's Batman, but I was never a big fan of the DC world. To much fluff and no enough pow for me.
Now there is the new batman movie. Now I knew Tim Burtan did a wonderful job with them, but after him you could see a decline. It got to the point of just some strange tights wearing people dancing around on screen. This movie changed everything.
This movie is amazing, visually appealing. Ok it was just frigging sweet. The way the Joker was played really wanted me to make him my hero (as odd as that sounds). So if you ever lost faith in a good DC movie. SEE THIS!

The action was awesome! Heath Ledger did a great job as the Joker--almost as good as Jack Nicholson. The make-up for Dent after his accident was really great. The movie moved along well and kept me guessing what's next! A great movie to go see a second time!

This movie had a solid plot, and the scenes transitioned nicely with a strong link between scenes. It was full of action, and it is moving toward what viewers may have expected to be grizzly scenes with the Joker turned out to be innocent enough. Excellent movie! Can't wait for the game version. I think the unfortunate death of Mr. Ledger played a role in the mysticism of the Joker, everytime the Joker was on screen, it made one think back to his acting career and him as a person. Knowing he was dead made the movie that much more darker.

Been anxiously waiting for this sequel since Batman Begins. This movie DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!.
There is so much action in this movie, it was worth the wait. Bale, Oldman , Caine and Freeman all portray their parts as if the original was completed a week ago. Very impressive. And as everyone has said - Heath Ledger is the best joker ever. He was another very favorite actor and he is and always will be missed.
The darkness of Batman at the end is somewhat sad though, just like other movies where the hero is perceived as the "bad" guy.
Overall - great show!
Now want IMAX!!!!!!

Dark Knight is fast paced, well-written, comic-book violent & very well acted.
The story both repulses & awes at the same time. Heath Ledgers performance was actually mesmerizing. I didn't know whether to hate, pity or root for his Joker character.
Believe the hype and don't miss this movie while it's on the big screen; the movie deserves that large of a venue.

Does it live up to all the hype? Is it one of the best superhero movies of all time? Will Heath Ledger get an Oscar for his performance as the Joker?
Yes. Yes. And definitely.
Director, Christopher Nolan's revision of the Tim Burton's original Batman film is brillant, dark, riveting, and, possibly, and hopefully, Oscar worthy. Nolan's version is intricately detailed; from the script to the visuals to the performances.The action is violent, the mood is tense, and the humor is definitely dark.
Every actor brings their A- game to this film. Christian Bale is proving that he may just be the best Batman of all time. Aaron Eckhart gives a credible yet subtle performance as Harvey Dent. Both Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman are excellent as supporting characters to Bale's Batman.
And Maggie Gyllenhall is a welcomed upgrade from Katie Holmes' Rachael Dawes.
Then there is Heath Ledger. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe his performance as the Joker. It is perfection. If only he could have been able to witness the fans' and critics' appreciation of such a career making performance.
Enough writing and reading. Go out and see this movie immediately.

Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker is awesome! I would not of thought he could pull it off but he did. Bale's Dark Knight was above grade as well. The movie was well written and well cast. It is long but has to be to draw out the story as well as they did. If you have not seen this movie....put it on your to do list!!!

Heath Ledger's performance as "the Joker" was just incredible and saved an otherwise mediocre film that dragged at times. The editors certainly could have shaved off at least 30 minutes without being noticed and the other characters were weak at best The role of Batman certainly lacked charisma, but I would recommend the film since Heath Ledger shouldn't be missed.
