This Batman movie is by far the best of the saga. With killer special effects, awe-inspiring action scenes, and an excellent score, this movie definitely lives up to the public's expectations of the best Batman movie. Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, and the rest of this killer cast definitely deliver a piece worth the wait. Would definitely recommend to others.

That movie was perfectly done. It just hit it on so many notes. It had incredibly structured action scene after scene, philisophical issues were raised, and the acting and writing was incredible. Its going to be hard for future Batman movies to beat The Dark Knight, simply b/c of the Joker. Maybe if they wanted to bring back the Joker, they could compete, but its just a shame Heath had to die IRL.

I have been waiting for the release of the The Dark Knight it seems like forever. My expectations were high and I was not disappointed. Christian Bale handles himself well against Heath Ledger as neither steals the show. Bale and Ledger give equally strong and complex portrayals that will not be forgotten for many years. The Dark Knight is 2 hours and 30 minutes of intense drama, explosive action and so much fun that it had me begging for the next installment of the franchise before this one had even ended. Batman forever!

No spoilers from me, so sorry! This was a thoroughly enjoyable, enthralling, exciting movie! Heath Ledger is IMO the BEST Joker I've ever seen (and I'm not just saying that because of recent events!). The character Ledger creates with the Joker is exactly how the Joker should be portrayed (and I'll leave it at that).
Maggie Gyllenhaal was a much better Rachel than Mrs. Cruise, and then of course Christian Bale was terrific once again as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Some complain that the movie was too long (2 1/2 hours). However, I felt that there was not a single moment when I felt that the movie lulled. To me, the movie should have lasted at least 15-30 minutes longer, just to answer a few questions that I felt were not answered.
But, that's all I will say. I'm sure others will spoil the plot, but I won't. So if you want to know the story line, read someone else's review.
All I have to say is GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! Men...women..children over 13... You will NOT regret it!

True to the Dark Knight series of comic books and finally a director who can keep the same style and flow for the original and the sequel, let's hope they keep it up with the third installment. And BTW Ledger's performance is really worth all the hype!

Rare that the reviews of a comic book film live up to the marketing hype, but in this case, the acting does indeed trump all. Thankfully the trailers didn't ruin all of the best bits of Ledger's electric performance. First Batman film that delves deeper into the myth and psyche instead of focusing on the glamor action. HUGE SUCCESS! The worst part was waking up the next morning realizing that we will never see that Joker again. Devastating, but confirmation that high caliber acting, thoughtful script and attention to the original material is a recipe for excellence. Hats off to Mr Nolan for sticking to his guns. I've already seen it twice in two days and can't wait for IMAX.

This movie was captivating from start to finish. All starring actors did an amazing job! Although the movie was long, there was not one dull moment! I grew up reading Batman Comic Books, have seen all the Batman movies, and watch the TV Batman as well. I was very entertained watching this and cannot wait until it comes out on Blue Ray so I can watch all of the bonus material!

Good movie ………….. although way too long many lessons, however they could have ended it 45 minutes earlier. The good guys aren't that stupid. Bad guys aren't that smart (especially psychotics. Acting is incredible.
