Rare that the reviews of a comic book film live up to the marketing hype, but in this case, the acting does indeed trump all. Thankfully the trailers didn't ruin all of the best bits of Ledger's electric performance. First Batman film that delves deeper into the myth and psyche instead of focusing on the glamor action. HUGE SUCCESS! The worst part was waking up the next morning realizing that we will never see that Joker again. Devastating, but confirmation that high caliber acting, thoughtful script and attention to the original material is a recipe for excellence. Hats off to Mr Nolan for sticking to his guns. I've already seen it twice in two days and can't wait for IMAX.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
