Quite honestly The Dark Knight is the best movies I have seen in years. It is so much more than a superhero movie. The acting was phenomenal on all parts but especially Heath. He didn't so much act as the Joker as become the Joker. The Joker became a living breathing person. Every time he was not on screen you wished and hoped and anticipated his return. I cannot recommend this highly enough nor can anyone put into words the greatness of this movie. This is a must, must, MUST see.

Every scene with Batman or the Joker, and especially the two together, are spectacular. Gary Oldman was fantastic as always as well. The part with DA Harvey Dent was too long and not needed but with everything else being as good as it was, it didn't ruin the movie. For all the hype about Heath Ledger's performance, I was prepared to be a bit disappointed...who could live up to that much praise? But he was perfect...best movie villian I've seen in eons.

One of the best crime dramas I've seen. The performances were all so good that rewatching on DVD will likely only enhance my opinion of this movie. Added to which, odds are I'll see it again in the theatre.

This was an amazing movie, probably the best Batman movie out there...and "Batman Begins" was pretty close!
This film was much more darker, suspenseful, intense, and kind of scary. The movie really pushes the PG-13 limit. It's not bloody or anything, it's just very intense!
The cast did an awesome job, especially Heath Ledger as The Joker. I was watching the movie and I completely forgot that he was playing the villain...One of the best villains I have seen, in ANY movie.
The rest of the cast, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Aaron Ekhart, Gary Oldman, Maggie Gylenhaal, and Morgan Freeman are all very good!
I will definitely buy the DVD when it is released!

Clearly the best film the summer season has to offer US Moviegoers. The casting could not have been better and Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker was fantastic. The tension which was built during scenes of drama was only broken by one of the Joker's off color lines. As expensive a proposition as a trip to the movies has come to mean, The Dark Knight is certainly worth the effort.

Possibly the best super-hero flick ever! Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was so on point I honestly forgot it was him! He totally engulfed himself in the role. Bale,Freeman & Cane gave stellar performances while Eckhart's shined when it was his time. My only downside was Maggie Gyhllynhall"s (I know I mispelled it) performance as Rachel Dawes I would've preferred a new character if Katie Holmes didn't return otherwise I can't wait for the DVD

From start to finish, this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is not your typical Batman movie... I DO NOT recommend this for small children. It is very intense and is a bit graphic... Absolutely fantabulous!!!

Excellent film from start to finish. Heath Ledgers best performance ever! Amazing script, excellent cast (except for Maggie Gyllenhaal - could have went with a better actress more suited for the role) Between Joker and Two-Face they are the best on screen villians to date. Christian Bales performance was equally impressive. As always he delivered a knockout performance.

It was a phenomenal movie. There was action and adventure. It was edge of your seat watching movie. Heath Ledger did an amazing job as the Joker. He makes you see the real insanity that is associated with the Joker. Christian Bale is the best pick for batman. He is serious but you can see his humanity even though as the batman he has to hide it. Aaron Eckhart was also great. Overall the movie was excellent because of its phenomenal cast and the action that is this film. You wont regret it! Go watch it!

Excellent movie! Action-packed and non-stop fun! Heath Ledger is remarkable in his bone-chilling performance; makes me wonder even more at how much great work was still inside this young man...
The chase scene with the cartwheeling semi was just beyond belief! I can't rave about it enough.

The Dark Night is a great title. Truth be told it should have been titled The Joker or something more focused on The Joker. One of the greatest movies of all time. There wasn't enough Heath Ledger and some of the dialogue was forced but every actor in this movie brought their A game. It should have been a little darker as well to follow the original story line but an R rated Batman would have limited a lot of customers. Who plays The Joker next? I'm sure there will be plenty of rumors for the next few years but for now I'm going to schedule another viewing of this flick.

I loved this movie! And I sat against the wall because I gave my seat up so a family could sit together. Even though this movie is nearly 2 1/2 hours long it flys by. The story doesn't drag at all. Constantly evolving. One of the coolest movies I have EVER seen!

Just an incredible movie! Action packed! Great acting with a great plot. A superb follow up to Batman Begins. This is truly an epic movie. Already can't wait for the next one to come out! There are many scenes where you are left with you jaw wide open. This will be the best movie of 2008.

The Dark Knight is an amazing action packed ride that goes beyond the typical action film and draws you into the characters and story. Heath Ledger really is as good as everyone is saying. Overall a great film and a good story. I have only two criticisms of the film (no spoilers).
First, there are points in the film where Batman has a moral dilemma whether to kill the Joker. It's a moral equivalence arguement, i.e. if I kill the Joker I'm no better than him. Killing a murdering psychopath is not murder -it's justice, regardless of the circumstance.
Second Harvey Dent, the "white knight" district attorney who is a hero for going after the bad guys, has his own moral dilemma whether to take justice into his own hands. The arguement Batman (and others) use is that if Dent resorts to vigilantism, it will undo all his good work AND RESULT IN EVERYONE HE'S CONVICTED BEING SET FREE. It's an incredibly stupid arguement and reeks of political correctness (e.g. Don Imus entertains for years and raises millions of dollars for kids with cancer, but one joke of poor taste got him fired). It's just not how the law works and that arguement was very sophmoric and downright stupid.
Those two criticisms aside it's an amazing film and I was happy to see that the films creators wanted to interject some philosophy, even if they didn't always hit the mark (there were other philosophical arguements that I felt were closer to the truth).
So... go see it. Heath Ledger is amazing. Oscar performance.

Great movie, completely meeting my expectations from Batman Begins. Usually sequels are just that, a second take at an original that was too good to be true, but this sequel is just as good if not better than the original. Though a little long, I have to say well worth sitting through if for nothing else the Joker's dialogue!
