The theatre was packed & with good reason. I feared this might be all hype, but was proven wrong. Ledger deserves an Oscar for this one. This is not the "cartoony" version of Batman from the past. This is an edgier, darker, intense version that delves into the inner characters of Batman & the Joker. Many movies these days are not worth the high tickets prices, but the Dark Knight is worth every penny. My fifteen year old daughter also loved it, and we are making plans to see it again with friends!

Action packed, well flowing moving!! Heath Ledger makes the movie. Even though there are many stars in the movie, you do not see the stars, you see the characters and get totally immersed in the storyline. Can't wait for another one!!

I have to be honest, it was way better than I expected the movie to be. And I thought the oscar buzz about Heath Ledger was just because of his recent passing until I saw it myself. WOW! They couldn't have cast him better or anyone else for that matter. My husband and were in a huge debate over whether or not Ledger could be a better Joker than Nicholson from the first Batman but we left the movie theater both agreeing that Ledger won the new title of best Joker character ever!!

More than a few times during this one did I catch myself holding my breath! Really well done - exciting, dramatic, and the first Batman movie to really hit the nail right on the head. It could have stood to be 15-20 minutes shorter, but I'm already anxious to see what they do for an encore - so I guess I really didn't mind!!!

What a superb sinister badass! Ledger makes Nicholson look like a joker. Ledger's performance was riveting -- you couldn't take your eyes off him. Loved it.

This movie was really dark. Heath Ledger's interpretation of the Joker was for the ages. The joker is a sick individual who likes to analyze and experiment on human morality. Throughout the movie he forces people to make tough decisions to test their moral fiber. Do you trust your fellow citizens to make the morally correct choice? That is the question he presents throughout the movie. His whole idea is to expose and test the corruption of Gotham.
The script was amazing. The dialog between Batman and the Joker where amazing. This movie had it all. I cannot wait for the third one.

This movie was awesome. I love how it stayed in continuation with B-Man Begins. It was extremely action packed and exciting. It was one of those flicks where you could not turn your head for a second and would have to play "catch-up" if you had. Every single second of the tale was engrossing. All of the actors did an excellent job in delivering the roles. The new gadgets, especially the "Bat-cycle", was off da chains!!! It was incredible to see how Two-Faced came to be. The Joker was not your Joker of past. He was a straight, right in your face terror who you had to love for his charisma and comedy but hated for his brilliance in the area of manipulation. By all means GET TO THE CLOSEST THEATER ASAP TO SEE THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED BUT WELL WORTH THE WAIT "MOVIE OF THE YEAR"!!!

Wanted to see it directly after... it was THAT good. All the characters were awesome, but Ledger's Joker completely surpassed Nicholson's clown. It's edgy, slick & smart. Not especially good for small kids, but big kids will definitely appreciate.

The movie was great and beyond the tragedy involving Heath Ledger, he did an fantastic job of his role as joker. Christian Bale did a great job playing his role as Bruce and Batman and keeping the two independent of each other. This was a great movie and use the restroom before you go it because it is 2.5 hours long.

A bleak, violent view of the world and its morals. While Heath Ledger's performance is certainly the main draw. all performances are among the best of each actor's career. Days after the movie is over, the images remain. While it lists at two and a half hours, there is not a single slow spot in this film. It is really riveting. Undeniably violent, but not gratuitous.
An adult film with adult issues.

The acting was wonderful. The Joker stole the spotlight! But he deserved it! The music was so intense, the cinemetography amazing. I don't have enough words to describe! I already saw the movie twice and i can't wait to watch it again. Definitely the best movie of all time. You can definitely tell that everyone involved in this movie has a passion for what they do.
