Aside from the fact that the movie makers tried to jam as much story line into movie as possible and the post production on Batman's voice is ridiculous, it's very entertaining film. Heath Ledger did an outstanding job as well as the rest of the cast. With the choices that are out there this movie is you best bet for a fun time at the movies.

I was a little apprehensive about seeing the movie at first as I'm a very big fan of 1989's Batman and this version seemed very "dark" in comparison. However, after hearing so many good reviews and comments I decided I'd check it out for myself. I was extremely impressed. The story line was great, superb acting (especially Heath Ledger) and some really great action! I will completely agree with one comment I heard..."it was two and a half hours of awesome!"

Non-stop action. Heath Ledger was brilliant as the Joker. First time I've seen the Joker protrayed the way he should be as the arch-nemesis to Batman - psychotic and dangerous. Overall a great Batman movie.

Wow! Health Ledger, amazing! Maggie Gyllanhaal, ehh, Christian Bale, awesome as usual. The Joker stole the movie! I wouldn't take the kids to this one. The movie was dark and scary with great special effects. I loved Batman, but tone down the voice a little. Christian Bale is definately worthy of a better leading lady. This was not a role for Maggie G. Please when the next one comes out, try Megan Fox, or get Katie back. I'd be more than willing to replace either one of them!. Christian is a fantastic actor who makes an extremely sophisticated, very handsome, rugged Batman. He is one of a small handful of wonderful actors who do not always get the recognition they deserve, beacause they stay out of all the Hollywood gossip. Keep it up Christian, all of us movie fanatics see you for the wonderful actor that you are. Health Ledger was fantastic. I have seen every one of his movies and he out does himself in each one. All I kept thinking of is what the world is going to be missing with him gone. I feel for his family and friends and hope that they can look at this masterpiece of work and really see the talent of this young soul. Keep these Batman movies coming, they are the best ever!

The Dark Knight was everything I hoped it would be! The action was great, the story was intriguing, and Heath Ledger is fantastic! When he was on screen, I couldn't take my eyes off him. He completely wrapped me in the story. The rest of the cast was excellent as well. Highly recommended! I would see it again.

This movie was awesome, from the visual effects to the acting it was great. I really enjoyed how they added humor at points especially how you didnt absolutely hate the Joker. Never once during the 2.5 hours did i want the movie to end and I never knew what was coming next, it was amazing.

The Dark Knight is a dark and twisted look into the batman franchise. Heath Ledger delivers an unbelievable performance as the Joker. The movie runs a bit long at 2 hours and 30 minutes but is filled with action and edge-of-your- seat excitement. Not recommended for kids as this dark version of batman has many twisted and a few disturbing images. So many surprises that once you think you know what will happen, the opposite occurs. Brilliantly written and performed.

Amazing performance from the Joker & Batman. This brought the Batman movies all the way back to the beginning in the 1989 Batman Film when Joker was introduced played by Jack Nicholson. Usually in a Superhero movie it's about the Superhero. This one is really about so many different things it truly keeps you involved throughout the movie and those scenes without Batman are as good as the ones with.
The Joker character, as played by Heath Ledger is awesome. Truly a brilliant performance. Bale's Batman and Bruce Wayne are also very well done. Alfred is very funny and we should all have someone that cares about us as much as Alfred cares about Bruce.
I also thought the set designers were brilliant for not having a bat cave.
What I liked the most, was the sacrifice concept played out in many of the story lines. It seemed like everyone wanted to help someone by giving up themselves!
To think, this was more acting and less CGI of all the mainstreams. Makes it even that much better ... although Hulk and Ironman are hard to top!
The scene that was the funniest is between the auditor and Morgan Freeman. The fatherly advice ... and the ... you must be crazy look on Mr. Freeman's face... simply too funny for words.
Thanks to the Writer's, Director and Performers for a great 2+ hours ... I should also add watching this in a DIGITAL theater is indeed the way to go!

Movie Was Very Entertaining, But Not As Good As 'Batman Begins'. One Thing That Got The Movie Off To A Bad Start Was The Super Human Strength That Batman Displayed, By Bending The Barrel Of A Gun With His Bare Hands. On Another Note, I Was Annoyed At The Fact That Christian Bale Was Trying Too Hard To Put On A Robert Downey Jr. 'Playboy' Demeanor, Rather Than Being The Dark, Tough Persona That We Grew To Love In The First Movie. My son (12) & I saw it 7/19 a.m. What a great Batman movie! Just when you think it's coming to a close, it just gets better. Christian B. & Heath L. are awesome in "The Dark Knight". This movie is excellent!!! If you are into movies like this, if you are even sort of considering it, do it! Go see this movie don't wait you will not be disapointed! My only regret is that I wasn't able to get into an Imax theater to see it this past weekend. But seriously go see this movie! All around great action movie experiance and Heath Ledger's performance absolutely lives up to the hype as does the rest of the movie. A+ 5 stars all the way!!

There have been dozens of films made about batman that included the Joker. Yet every version I never felt was quite right. Jack Nicholson came very close but was too wacky 70's batman to fit the twisted sinister villain that the Joker is. The buzz that was going around about this version of the Joker left me skeptical but from the moment he entered the room and did his "magic trick" I knew that was THE JOKER. Everything about this movie was what I kept waiting the comic book genre to grasp. The roles were all filled perfectly, the script was excellent, and even the special effects were utilized magnanimously. The best part about this movie was even if you didnt know anything about batman and dont like comic books at all you could still love this movie for all its elements. Heath Ledger if I could bring you back from the dead to make another movie despite my hatred of sequels I would. I truly pity the poor soul who has to follow Heath Ledger's performance. Christian Bale is by far the best batman EVER he portrays not only the persona of an anti-hero but it plays such an excellent pretentious jerk as well which most batman portrayals fail to execute. I almost was disappointed to see Aaron Eckhart casted as Harvey Dent aka Two Face but his transformation from all American to trashy gangster was so believable that I applaud his performance. The only actor to fail was the girl who played Rachael but whatever no one goes to see her. If you have your doubts about seeing this movie please do yourself a favor and go seeing it at home will be disappointing to put it mildly by comparison to the big screen.

As a fan of the original theatrical Batman with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, I'd yet to see a replacement for the original. Though I thoroughly enjoyed Batman Begins, it was my second favorite Batman till now. Bale/Ledger has surpassed all past Batman movies with Dark Knight.
This is a must see, best movie of the summer. It portrayed a perfect Batman, Dark Knight. And the Joker as a man just wanting to "watch the world burn" was a scene stealer.

The movie was very good. Heath Ledger was excellent as the Joker. If you did not know it was Heath Ledger playing the Joker, you would not have been able to tell who the actor was. I also like Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. He did a very good job at capturing why Two-Face hates Batman and the police. The make up for Two-Face was also very good. Keep up the good job.
