The Dark Knight was by far one of the best sumer film screenplays I have seen in a long time. The plot was interesting and well developed. I coud not beleive the movie was 2 1/2 hours long; it went by so quickly.

The acting was superb (with special kudos to Heath Ledger for mastering an extremely difficult and dangerous role), the plot development was much more coherent than the first, and the extraordinary cinematography set a new standard in "The Dark Knight." The only spot of ridicule was in Harvey Dent's overly Terminator-ized Two-Face. Christopher Nolan's and Christian Bale's reinterpretation of Batman has been magnificent, and I can only hope we see another. Also, if the Joker is to be in the next one, I know we can't replace Heath Ledger, but I think Johnny Depp would do an admirable job in the role.

It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is terrifying but fascinating. And Christian Bale was amazing, as always. Definitely the must-see move of the year.

I love this cycle of Batman movies. Christian Bale is the best Batman thus far. The villains are great... the movie keeps you guessing... and as always... is WIDE open for another installment. Was a great movie.

Entering into this movie, I was clearly pumped. But walking out, I was flabbergasted. I had no clue how to quantify or qualify what I had just seen. Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman all play their roles so perfectly that you don't think of it as acting, but their actual lives.
Heath Ledger definitely deserves, at minimum, an Oscar nod for this role, if not a win.
The twists and turns that you do not see coming throughout the movie are so enthralling that you don't know what to do with yourself. I bought a bag of popcorn and didn't even eat it, I was so fixated on this movie. Definitely the pinnacle of the year.

After a summer of great surprises with comic book icons Iron Man, The Hulk and even HellBoy II. The dark knight comes in and blows them completely away with a movie where each character was interesting. It is funny that a movie with Batman had his character as probably the 3rd most important character.
Will be tough to beat. Just hope they don't do anymore terrible Superman return type movies to wreck the winning streak that is happening.

The special effects used were great, Heath Ledgers part was believable, Loved Christian Bale, I wish the story line would have included a little lighter side at times. Left me feeling depressed and not anxioux to see the next sequel.

This movie is amazing just because of the plot. There are so many twists and turns and it all fits together very nicely. The acting by Heath Ledger was also stunning, he made the movie come to life and take on a whole new dimension. 5 Stars

One of the better movies I have seen in years. Heath Ledger's role in the film lived up to the hype and then some. His depection of the Joker really made the film in my mind. The Dark Knight is a fantastic movie. I hoped I wouldn't be disappointed, like with Spider-Man 3, and I was not. The Dark Knight is much more than a superhero movie. It's a FILM. It operates on so many layers, that every film fan should be able to enjoy it.

Excellent movie. Dark, appealing, beautifully put together, with an excellent cast and memorable acting. I will, though, say that the film lost its momentum for me after Rachel dies. It felt like it just lost its steam and was trying to get to the end. It felt a bit forced. The message the movie communicated was loud and clear and I really liked it. Great, overall

The new Batman movies have put the old ones in their graves. Bale plays the perfect mix of superhero and suave billionaire, Caine is just the perfect british actor, and as for the rest of the cast? Simply brilliant. Ledger's character was intricate but not overly complex, funny yet scary at the same time. By far the best movie I've seen in years, even trumping the last batman, and thats hard to do.

Being a female I am not a die hard fan of the batman movies, but I found this movie to be easy to follow without having all the background info. Heath Ledger was awesome and Christain Bale is easy on the eyes. Great action that kept me interested for the whole (2.5 hour +++) movie.

Awesome, awesome movie. Constant action and 2 hours goes by in a snap. I usually lose interest in movies over an hour and a half, thinking they're dragging, but not this. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are excellent. Maggie is a huge step up from Katie Holmes.

Fantastic movie with no lag time. Kept my interest peaked. Heath Ledger was amazing and so convincing in his role as the joker. What a loss to the world of acting! Awesome action and special effects. I would go see it again today after having gone just yesterday! LOVED it! Christian Bale makes a great batman, no question.
