Entering into this movie, I was clearly pumped. But walking out, I was flabbergasted. I had no clue how to quantify or qualify what I had just seen. Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman all play their roles so perfectly that you don't think of it as acting, but their actual lives.
Heath Ledger definitely deserves, at minimum, an Oscar nod for this role, if not a win.
The twists and turns that you do not see coming throughout the movie are so enthralling that you don't know what to do with yourself. I bought a bag of popcorn and didn't even eat it, I was so fixated on this movie. Definitely the pinnacle of the year.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
