Loved the movie! I liked how Gotham is now a normal city instead of a weird gargoyle infested somehwat mythical place, as in the past movie versions.
Christian Bale's "Batman voice" reminded me a little bit too much of a bad Clint Eastwood impersonation, but his acting was great.
I was disappointed that there wasn't some kind of dedication or memorial to Heath Ledger in either the beginning or ending credits.

Best comic book movie ever! To not cheapen it, also one of the best crime movies ever. Acting is superb by everyone. They were working with each other as opposed to trying to upstage. Heath Ledger should win an oscar and if he doesn't i will never pay attention to them again. how many times can an actor redo a roll and make an amazing actor like Nicholson look like he was making a poor attempt at a copy of Ledger. everyone should see this movie.

This is probably the darkest of the Batman movies so far. I would recommend that anyone take young children.
Heather Ledger in my opinion stole the movie. His portrale of the Joker was so good.
Christian Bale was good but did not look the part of Batman as far as his build goes.
The special effects were spectacular but too scary for younger children. This is definitely one of the better Batman movies I have seen and it is due to Heath Ledger's performance.

The story had too many twists toward the end with choppy editing. The movie was getting a little long but overall it was entertaining, Heath Ledger was brilliant as the joker but I would have hoped for someone with a little more sex appeal to play the part of Rachel even though it was well acted.

I really liked this movie. I don't think that it is very good for kids, but as an adult I loved it. I think that Heath Ledger as the Joker did a good job. He was very convincing.

From the opening sequence to the very end, this movie was fantastic! A few shocking surprises that you wouldn't have expected and ending on a slight downer - I can't wait to see what the next movie will entail! Such a shame that Ledger is gone, his performance was great!

As I sat waiting to go into the movie theater my Fiancé and I were talking about "Batman Begins" and how this movie is going to top it off. Well we really were impressed by "Batman Begins," but blown away by " The Dark Knight". It had amazing cinematography and all the actors played their roles very well. The Joker (Heath Ledger R.I.P.) was so believable and I give him two thumbs up for all his hard work...actually I give all the actors two thumbs up... they were an amazing cast. Although the movie was a bit to long for my taste I enjoyed it tremendously and look forward to the next one...If Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan are still involved.

I was expecting Ledger's performance to be anticlimactal with all the hype about his work. I was wrong! His take on the Joker was perfect. Although being a huge Gary Oldman fan I admit my fav parts were of Com. Gordon. Expect to feel it in the "bum" though. With the numerous trailers and commercials I was in my seat for 3 hours. Good Film.

This movie has the best on screen villain of all time. Ledger is absolutely phenomenal.
Plot that has depth and morality
Bale, Oldman, and Freeman deliver stellar performances again.
A crime drama up to par with Infernal Affairs, a comic book movie that far exceeds its competition, characters that are rarely surpassed in cinema.

The Jokers character rides right on the edge of creepy and wanting more.
I have a five year old and after the first hour and a half he was a little bored, so be for warned. I wanted to see it at the imax but the tickets were sold out the first week.

I don't get too excited about too many movies these days mostly because of the hype and ultimate let down when I get to see them, but this movie lives up to the hype. Not only was it beautifully shot in my home town Chicago, but the action and riveting scenes kept me very entertained. I enjoyed all the bat gear and innovative stunts, and the quick sequences and wonderful cinematography. Christian Bale (Batman) didn’t overplay his role. He was perfect. And, of course, the Joker was played sadistically well by Heath Ledger. Further, the supporting players were also pretty good. Only criticism I have is the rating. This movie is not good for kids under 12. It’s way too dark and girls especially will get nightmares from the Joker scenes and the blunt violence. Great for teenagers though. I will probably see it again.

This is the best movie of the summer and the best superhero picture yet. Great, deep crime drama. Nolan tells story so well. Some have complained there wasn't enough Joker but it was perfect. All the hype is legit. Heath Ledger is phenominal. All characters have their time to shine. Christian Bale is the best Batman. You have to see this 2, 3, 4 times. Brilliant film.

My wife and I are fans of 'Batman Begins', and we were anxious to see this movie. We were not disappointed in the slightest.
The movie has a decent take-off sequel feeling from where 'Batman Begins' left off after some time passing. You are given a general sense of what has transpired over time until the second movie, and where The Joker left off from the first one (with the calling card given to Batman by Gordon at the end).
The Joker (played by Heath Ledger) has got to be the best performance I have seen out of Ledger. With such a dramatic role played by Ledger, I personally feel that this was his best performance by far, staying completely in tune with the how The Joker is meant to be played - sinical, dark, mysterious and methodical. His role was the most impressive, leaving fans with the sense of an exhilarating experience that will last for some time.
Christan Bale of course played an outstanding (perhaps the best?) Batman to date of all Batman movies. His duality and ability to keep them seperately, along with the subtle hints throughout the movie about his unknown identity to others plays out very well.
They could not have picked a better Gordon, played by Gary Oldman. He fits the role to perfection. 'Nuff said.
How could we ever forget Morgan Freeman? He yet again graces us with his presence in another great job of running Wayne Enterprises. Again, another perfect fitting actor for the role, and irreplaceable.
Christain Nolan did a great job of matching up the new Rachel Dawes (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) with a similar sounding character played by Katie Holmes in the first movie. I do wish that either actress would be in both movies, instead of one or the other to maintain that continuing sense of the movies combining to make a story.
Bravo to the cast and staff that made this movie a fantasitc one!

Was a constant pulse racing thriller to the end! With a star studded cast across the board it's no surprise that this movie certainly lived up to sky high ratings and reviews it has been given! Heath Ledger couldn't have played the demonic Joker any better, and Aaron Eckhart gives the Harvey Dent/Two-Face character a horror movie like personae!!! Aces across the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This movie had it all! Action, drama, and a chilling plot that had us all on the edge of our seats. Obviously, there was alot of Joker hype because of Ledger's untimely death but it really was one of the creepiest villans I have ever seen in a movie. You almost forget that it is him and that he is gone. In this movie he becomes the Joker and you forget about the real world and actually believe for the 2.5 hrs that Gotham is a real place.
